I find it’s always a good idea to steam tempeh first even when you plan to sauté it. Cooking it for a couple minutes in a frying pan isn’t enough to take away the butter taste tempeh can have.
As a super amateur cook, this took me about 45 mins but I loved this!! Very easy and you could probably change what vegetables you use. Will make again. :)
Another of your recipes that I had for dinner tonight, very tasty loved it . I only made half the sauce as I didn’t want too much . Will definitely make it again.
I have finally slightly mastered tofu but can’t seem to find a way to make tempeh without it tasting bitter - but this looks so good!! I will have to try it. Love you guys!
I like the recipe, but how is it 5 minutes, when you add in the rice as already pre-cooked, ready-to-eat ? The rice takes like 15+ minutes depending on which type you choose. Otherwise cool video and the tempeh goes well with the sweet and sour sauce :)
You cooked everything on high so you could make that timer. Cooking shouldn't be rushed, it ends up with half the flavor vs the healthier way; when you let things soften and cook with time. I doubt your onions carmalized in 30 seconds. One chef to another, slow down brother.

Yes, definitely. I've also seen some recipes where you boil it in some broth before cutting it up to help get rid of the bitterness ✌
Try frying it until it's crispy. Helps with texture
Woohoo! I just bought tempeh and was debating how I wanted to prepare it. Debate ended and this will be dinner tonight 😄👍
Yummy 😋 So cool to see how you made that sweet and sour sauce, I’ll definitely be trying that 🙏 Have an happy weekend Happy Pear ☮️💟🌱

Looks delicious! Reckon the sauce would still work if you replace the sugar with maple syrup?
You make meals exciting - and looking easy! Thank you 🙏
Why I truly love being plant based. Recipes are easy!
I bought my first tempeh yesterday 😁 I’m trying this recipe this weekend 😁 thanks 🥰
This looks delicious, I can't wait to try it. I love tempeh also.
You are so creative and very entertaining.
Simple and delicious.
Looks amazing! Assume you can use tofu as well for this dish?
Yes!
I have finally slightly mastered tofu but can’t seem to find a way to make tempeh without it tasting bitter - but this looks so good!! I will have to try it. Love you guys!
It might help to cook or steam the tempeh before preparing it in a recipe, that usually helps lessen the bitter flavour. Good luck.
@@margjeweijdt1510 Thank you!!
Hi what do you do with the other half of the sauce? Recipe says use half the sauce and in video only half was used, why make more if it's not needed?
Looks delicious!
Need something with light sugar bc diabetes 😩
I WILL TRY THIS TODAY :D loos so freaking good
Hey team. What kinda frying pan is that, please?
I ve been waiting for a sweet n sour sauce whoo hoo 🤣💯🙏😁
What type of stove is that seem it's not gas as flame is not always blue is it some other type of gas
Wow sooo yummy👏👏👌👌👍👍❤💖💖⚘🌹

Thanks
can i make this with seitan?
*Yummerz!* 🤤🙏💗
Thanks a mill
Can sugar be replaced with date sugar?
omg looks like hotpot 麻辣香锅😍
Yum to the sauce. I’m not a fan of so called tender crisp veg, so I’ll be cooking till tender. Easier on my teeth. Still, this is wonderful!!!
Gotta try it! I guess even when I have unlimited time I'm still operating on a 5 minute drive gear!!!
Yum!
1st love the videos
Thanks a mill

All my meals are 5 min or less! (Aside from cleaning, cutting, dicing, measuring and all condiments are out)
❤❤❤❤❤
The tempe aint cook yet… as an asian thats a crime
that was so good, do you only use half the sauce or all of it - recipe only mentioned adding half

Nice recipe, thanks for that...but the Tamari should be added to the sauce after cooking, because heating up destroys the healthy probiotics in it.
I tried it and the sauce was too thick probably bc there’s too much cornstarch.
♥️👋
Thanks
You call it ketchup - we call it saos. What you call "soybean sauce" is what we (Indonesian) call "kecap"
Asian meal indeed
Wouldn't have to worry about protein if I chopped that way. I'd be eating fingers.
How on earth is this healthy with so much sugar and ketchup that is anyway corn syrup enriched?
5min my ass. I have to go buy all the food! >:(
Next time please count the time it takes to measure everything and put it out.

What’s the hurry? ⏱️
