- In this video I paint a mountain stream on location with Derwent Iinktense pencils on a watercolor canvas panel. I finished the painting up at home by using Prismacolor colored pencils,
Painting and sketching with pencils on location or "en plein air" is a really relaxing way to spend a summer morning.

Great tip! Thank you! Your one of the few channels I’ve found who used inktense for location sketching 👍👍💛🤗
Your paintings are so beautiful, you capture the scenes perfectly! I just found your channel yesterday and have been binge watching 😊
Thank you so much!
fun
I hope you do more videos. You are very skilled with painting with the inktense pencils. I really enjoyed watching your process from start to finish and what a beautiful location you chose.
Thanks so much Vy. If all goes well, I'll post a new Inktense sketching video this week 🌞
Really cool to see the pencils used this way. It looks great!! And I'm interested in that rubber paint mover thing now. Thanks for sharing! 😊
Thanks Lia 🌞 I think other names for it are color shapers or even silicone paint brushes.
Wonderful scene. Thank you for sharing it. Interesting to see Inktense in use, very helpful.🤩
Thanks so much Christine. I'm glad you liked it. Inktense pencils are really versatile.
I know that ending was kind of dumb. If you want to learn more about how I paint outdoors with pencils and such check out this play list

Nice! What was that eraser you used? I'm guessing that you can only use that on that special canvas that you are painting on? Also, what is the blending tool at the end? Thanks!
Thanks Myrna! The battery powered eraser was from Hobby Lobby. It's the Master's Touch brand. I have since bought a Derwent one that is rechargeable, which I like better. I've used it on lots of surfaces, even paper. Sometimes a light touch is needed though. I don't recall where I got that blending tool, I think other names for it are color shapers or even silicone paint brushes would work. It seems the stiffer ones are work a bit better for me.
@@PaintWithPencil awesome thanks so much for the info!
