- I'm going to show you how I painted the dolphin artwork for the new Derwent Intense pencil tins! These are water soluble ink in pencil form and can be used with water and a paintbrush to create an almost watercolor like look.

Who ever it was at Derwent who had the idea 'lets make Inktense' really earned their wage that day! Inktense is amazing. I realise this is very late, it's been a long time since I watched your channel, but what an honour to be asked to do the tin cover art! Awesome.
This is weirdly inspiring. I didn't realize I wanted my art to be featured on art supplies until now. That's a huge compliment, I realize, for a company to want your work to exemplify their product's potential.

After seeing an example done by our schools art teacher,I bought the large set of these pencils. I ABSOLUTELY LOVE them. I am not a professional artist just an average joe who loves to draw and sketch just about anything. If you are on the fence about buying these, then take her advice and buy the small set and try them out. Then you can buy the larger set🙂.

Also, I found out about the Inktense line just recently, and they seem fascinating, sort of like a cross between color pencils, inks, and acrylics. I'm glad you could show us how to layer to get your effects without having to worry much about changes in the underneath layers. Very informative! Thank you so much!🪷🐬

Congratulations Lisa! What a great honor. I've had the 12 pencil set a couple years and a small set of blocks but just treated myself to the 72 block set. Wish the tin had your art! Thanks for your helpful hints and instructions. I needed the reminder that white dries more opaque and to keep building colors until they stay at desired intensity.

I wanted to pick up the Derwent inktense pencils before but now I really want them just to say I have a peice of lachri fine art in my possession! Are the new tins for sale now??

How did it go with fabric?
@@Serenityblu23 good, if you go ahead and draw out your pattern on say freezer paper and cut out everything you want to ink tense and they're very carefully iron the freezer paper onto your fabric and paint away and have fun oh I'ed also put an extra piece of freezer paper on the back side of the fabric so you don't damage any furniture cuz it's pretty much permanent but it's fun and you should have a blast I did mine and trapuntoed them. Hey God bless have fun

This is a great video for new or timid artists to watch - I don't have these pencils tho I am definitely interested in them after this vid, but just as a general art encouragement and general tips video, art has been made approachable and helpful here.

As usual. Stunning! I am so astounded how you start out with certain colors and it all layers out so beautifully in the end. I mean if I was gonna attempt this, it soul take me many many years to get the kind of knowledge you have with colors. I didn’t know how much goes into color. The depth is incredible. Sometimes I don’t know where to begin but man just watching you is so inspirational
Thanks! Really you just need to experiment. Half the time what happens in one layer is not what I wanted, just keep layering until it looks right :D

Amazing drawing :) I like the combination of watercolours and coloured pencils. I'll try this technique also
These are a lot of fun because you can layer and glaze with them in a way you can't with watercolor. They are much more forgiving if you make a mistake haha.
