Pro tip regarding SD cards. Keep one tucked away in your wallet at all times. 99.999% of the time you'll never need it, but having one can save your day.
@@futc.photography I have a super small wallet as well (only holds 4 cards), but its a leather one and has a pouch for a spare key... I use it for a spare SD card. haha You seem to wear hats quite a bit, you might be able to find a spot to tuck one under the brim. 🤣
People are often forgetting, if you have fixed lens attacked to such viewfinder-less camera, you can attach appropriate optical viewfinder, say from Voigtländer, or Leica (too expensive but still), or some old russian one, do necessary settings that AF can take over, and off you go...
Fuji really do need a budget camera, I have just ordered the X-T30 II and that is nearly £800 for body only, add a lense even used your are over £900 even with an XC lense. They need a budget camera at around £300- £350, using the old X-T1 sensor would make it great value that is even today far better than most budget options by other manufacturers. This would provide a gateway into the fuji system for the budget conscious, unsure about the Fuji system.
I'm using a used X-pro 1.(bought for 160 euros as "broken" on Ebay from Germany, I payed 90 euros to repair it @ Photo Ciné réparations in France (including shipping) and I use it with the Fujinon 18mm F/2,4, it's a lovely combo with Leica sensations for snaps. Greetings from Brussels. :)
I just got my x-a5 today as second camera next to my x-t5 I am amazed how good the high iso performance is. In capture one the high iso files look much better than the x-t5 files. Only the color noise is bad. Colors are just as good as on my x-t5.
I got the succesor the XA7 - its my first Fuji ever. I used fo WORK to this day for construction site documentations. I love this setup paired with 15-45 so much. its perfect. ita has no cons.
Currently shooting with and X-H2 for professional shooting and my X-T30 is my fun/travel camera. I still have my X-M1 I bought back in 2013 with the same X-Trans sensor as the X-E1/X-Pro1 and shoot with this body and the 35 1.4 occasionally. Still impressed by the jpeg images and the plastic body has held up well over the years.
Oh. Such a great channel. Definitely a sub. Bought recently an XM-1 to start with, with a kit, added 35, f/1.4 from TTartisan. Nice combo for 300$. And willing to upgrade to XS-10 maybe in future. Quite an upgrade from iPhone photography, if you might call it that way. Finally no artificial over sharpening on every damn picture. And real bokeh and DOF😅
Fujifilm prices are crazy rn. I now only have the X-T4 because I sold my X-E1, X100T and even the XQ2 for MORE that I paid for it a couple of years ago. I wanted to convince my gf (or even just give it to her) to get a cheap fuji (as she still rocks a Canon 100D), but it's pretty much impossible these days. I did look into the X-A / X-M .. but the viewfinder ... 😪😅
It's still worth it for me in 2025 now, considering the many mode features worth trying, such as the advanced filter menu, which includes options like fisheye, miniature, toy, and more. Additionally, Fujifilm continues to update the firmware regularly for improvements. However, if you want to work around the viewfinder, you can purchase an external optical viewfinder. Affordable brands include TTArtisan, Olympus, or viewfinders for Instax. On the other hand, some brands come with higher price tags, such as Fuji for X70, Leica Bright, Voigtlander, and Canon have too. Nevertheless, keep in mind that you need to make the necessary adjustments to let AF take over.
Just traded it off for a Xe2 a while ago. The Xa5 has everything but the lackluster screen and the lack of a viewfinder is a liitle bit of a pain. Love ur videos as always
Great channel !, love the Fuji content. Keep up the the Fuji photgraphy. It`s funny, I just bought a X-A1 black that I´m trying to find an original grip for... then I will make it my "Noir" camera, pure black&white photo camera as a winter project 🙂
Great photos! This is basically a different version of the X-T100 isn’t it? Very similar specs, same sensor, released very close to each other. I have the X-T100 and I use it all the time for amateur product photography. I personally LOVE that it doesn’t have an x-trans sensor. I think bayer is better.
This is the exact camera and lens combination I am thinking of getting my daughter for her birthday this year….. she asked for a small, compact, but good quality, Fuji camera because she loves my XT too, lol. But doesn’t want to have to worry about bulkiness it taking up too much room. I felt like this with the 27 mm would be perfect but I’ve been hearing things about the Bayer sensor versus the x trans 2 sensor and I’m not sure how big of a deal that will be? if anyone has any thoughts, let me know
I thought is't just me, but the screen is indeed really blurry. Photos looks like crap on in and you constantly think that you're out of focus. But it's not. Photos are sharp when you open them on computer.
Hey great video! I know you’re only interested in photography with this camera but I’m keen to know your opinion on how it shoots in 1080p at 60fps? If you’ve done any testing since I would appreciate it massively :)🙏
Thanks for another nice video. On Fujis, do you shoot in both RAW and JPEG? I just ordered my first Fuji (been a Canon user for over 15 years) so am curious.
Well, it's forgotten because it doesnt use an X-Trans sensor, which is what gives Fuji photos their unique look. A Fuji with a Bayer sensor is just like any Canon, Sony or Nikon, zero reason to overpay for one just because it says Fuji on it. X-Trans are the only Fuji cameras worth buying IMO.
Enjoy your content as always. If I may ask a technical question, did you anything special with the exposure metering modes for the contrasty tunnel shots? I never quite know how to use these.
Thank you! No I didn’t do anything with the metering modes. If the exposure doesn’t look the way I want it, I’ll just use the exposure compensation dial :)
I finally found the best budget fujifilm camera" :)
@@futc.photography please release this one 2 😁 do your presets work well with blue and yellow? ( i work for Belgian police and would like these colors to pop)
Fuji budget cameras? Look at older bodies. XTxx are small, lightweight, and have ~75% of the XTx. The XS10 is really the XT40. It has IBIS and some nice video specs. Fuji prices are getting insane. Not only the X100 bodies are selling at a premium. I’m not paying a premium for a used body. For me, there is always M43 bodies and lenses. Mask On Nurse Marty(Ret)

Maybe they will need to revive the X-M series as "gateway drug"
