What camera and lens did you use to make this video ?
It infuriates me when people make videos like this and neglect to note what camera the actual video was filmed on. Not only that but never reply to comments asking for this info...
Going to expand on what another person has said on another video that you need to show what the camera can do and not what you can do. Its just more relevant here
1. If we see you take a photo of something we will expect it to come up on our screen to see what you just took a photo of. At all times
2. Show it in video mode and its autofocusing capabilities
3. Show us the results you get in lower light situations to see if we accept it and you may not. We are all different and will let different things slide.
4. Show us your burst mode photos results...some of us may think its acceptable or just not a deal breaker.
Just explaining things leaves the door open for all sorts of different results...

I got 1 of these little babies as a back-up camera for my X-T2. Shares most lenses and the battery is the same, my better half uses it when she wants a camera as in auto it does a pretty good job. Lacks a few features but I’m pretty pleased with what it can do rather than worry about what it can’t do. Sometimes I just drop it my pocket and leave the X-T2 at home knowing I’ll get good images. For the price it’s a winner 😊
That's exactly what i'm thinking of doing. Do you think the lenses stick out too much? Fuji only has a few pancakes. Also hows the grip. Not a big fan of all of fuji cams grips. But how does it compare to the xt2? Thanks.
@@Princeton_James The lenses don't change size because they are mounted on a different camera! The X-A5 is small and light so the centre of balance moves forward quicker than the bigger cameras as you increase the size and weight of the lens. I hold my camera with 2 hands so the lens is supported regardless of where it would balance, we are only talking about a few grams not kilograms - makes no difference. The absence of a viewfinder means holding the camera in front of you to see the screen, with the 50 - 140mm it is slightly tricky to hold it comfortably and accurately frame an image. I haven't used my 100 - 400mm on it, it would be possible but probably not very successful. Smaller lenses all seem fine to use, I don't have any pancake lenses and see no reason to get any just for this camera. Even with the kit 15- 45mm this is a small, light camera, it's meant to be. As far as I know there is no grip made for it. When compared to the X-T2 it is a lesser camera in most respects, largely menu driven rather than dials etc and IQ is poorer (partly the kit lens though which I leave on most of the time). It isn't a replacement for the X-T2, it's a back-up and given then price difference it does a remarkably good job. I'm well pleased with it although with hindsight I perhaps should have gone for an X-T20. (But for it's other uses as noted in my original post it is perfect)

Erik when you buy a camera like this over time the biggest investment is in the lenses. Fujinon lenses are superb in image quality and are largely metal. To match them on Sony or Canon you need to use full frame lenses which like for like are bugger, heavier and more expensive - kinda defeats the purpose of going mirrorless. I’m a convert from Canon and have no regrets, best of all I get better images with either the X-A5 or X-T2 than I could get with my Canon 80 and 750 and mainly L lenses. Enjoy it when you get your hands on it😊
which ones would you say for the "same" price, do better tracking and autofocus?
Why not try an XF f2 lens? That would probably be the next step to entry level prime. It would be nice to know if the A5 is worth getting with the intention to upgrade later.

Hi Lars! This seems to be quite a common issue when the screen is not fully extended when flipped. Please give that a go and let us know if that fixed it.

Yes- Nice review! I use a XPro 2 - and wanted something 'light weight' with the plus of being able to use 'X-lenses'. I will probably buy it - but will probably sell the kit lens in favor of my 18-55.

Just got my first Fiji mirrorless! Bought a Fujifilm X-A3, will put up an unboxing video soon. Found one that was too cheap to pass over! So much cheaper secondhand than the newer X-A5 (I just wish the X-A3 had the mic input of the X-A5, but the X-A3 still has the good 24 megapixel sensor for photography)

If its any help, I had an M100 for a few weeks and was very disappointed with its image quality and low light noise, so returned it. I now have an X-A5 and, for me, it is so much better. Image quality is excellent and noise at higher ISOs seem to be decently controlled.

The Canon is probably smaller and lighter. Canon M lenses are not a patch on the Fuji X lenses either quality, performance or selection so if you plan to grow a system this is a no-brainer. I got my X-A5 to complement my X-T2, shares batteries, lenses and flashguns so is a good, cheap back-up as well as a compoetent camera in it's own right.

Hi Abby, both of these are great beginner cameras! If we were to help you make your mind, we'd go with the X-T100 as it features an electronic viewfinder, decent photo and video specs and ultimately easy to use!

Was any of this actually shot with this camera? Because I got it and can't lie I'm severely disappointed when it comes to making a video. Unless you really bingo the settings, auto mode is constantly switching focus and brightness and as an amateur therefor provides you completely useless footage. Sounds also comes out with a lot of noise, you can attach external microphone, but as a hobby traveller/video maker you probably don't really carry all that equipment with you. I also had several longer videos, where sond started glitching after few minutes and therefor speech was very much inaudible.
Another trouble I'm experiencing on regular basis is system completely freezing, sometimes you can not turn it off, another time it won't turn off or just show image on screen, while nothing else works; so you have to physically remove battery to reset it. I think that's pretty sad for new camera that hasn't been trough some kind of bad handling that could possibly caused this.
I won't lie, quality of photos is really good, but unless you already know how to use something like it, I think you could get better results for much less money.
Hey!! I was thinking of getting a xa5 for photos, since I've been using Nikon D3100 for 7 years and it's too big. You said you can get better results for less money, could you tell me some options? I was also considering Sony A6000, I can't decide which is better.

Do not buy Fuji cameras. My camera lasted two years only. Don't even think about fixing it - the price is the same amount of a new one.I really regretted buying Fuji.
