When Ash finally earns his first ever league victory in "Sun and Moon" I just assume that he is going to leave the anime, especially how the series had such a beautiful and satisfying ending, but then "Pokémon Journeys" got announced where Ash eventually became the new world champion. Even if we all miss having Ash around, it's probably for the best that he doesn't appear for upcoming new series (except on surprising occasions).
I 100% agree with the idea of ash bringing pokemons like greninja back!! It would've been what journeys should've been. I honestly thought journeys was just basically going to be a kind of showcase of how far ash has come, and ash would be using all of his old pokemon.

Unpopular opinion, but Horizons is actually a really good Pokémon series the story is engaging. the animation at times is really good and the Characters are going to developed now this series is still going on, but it depends on how it would go, but hopefully it will be way better than journeys and black and white my favorite horizons Character is Friede
I think if this sorta serise exsisted, then Ash, Nemona and maybe Arven would be thaught about the paradox pokemon by the real professor in person. And around the end of the serise the ai professor had taken over after the real one died, and trys to get paradox pokemon to live all around paldea(also they maybe could make two serises for both scarlet and violet versions or have both be in the same serise)
Maybe in the future where there are new regions added... Here's the storyline: It's been 10 years since Ash's journey in Pokémon Journeys. Ash is now just living a normal life. He reminisces about the good old days when he had many adventures with different companions. 10 years later, he starts to miss that life. Ash has always loved travelling and meeting new pokemon. He decides that this will be the time he goes back to Pokémon and have more adventures! He gets a new cap, flies to this new region (insert region here) with Pikachu, and gets his very first starter Pokémon of this new region from the professor. After getting his pokemon, he finds another trainer who also just got their first pokemon (his rival) and decides to challenge him/her. The trainer accepts but something about Ash seems familiar to him/her. It's like they have met before... Quick little story that I came up with. The premise is that Ash misses the life he had before becoming champion and wants to experience it again with fellow/new companions! This would be really exciting to see, fans will get so hyped about this.
If there was an 'Evil Group' arc in Paldea, I think it would be cool to tie them into the Four Treasures of Ruin. They are just kind of locked up in their shrines until you decide to pull out all the stakes.
Now it give me curiosity about how would Ash Ketchum look in Pokemon Horizons when he'll come back to the series of course. It'd be surprising to see him. Idk if they'll mentioning him in the future. It'd also be great if Ash bring back his released Pokemon

It would be nice seeing Ash interact with Arven and Nemona, Ash and Nemona would definitely have a strong dynamic together! 6:11 Glad you use Beyblade Burst Turbo as an Example, This idea could work with Ash if he comes back growing up and as a world champion. Similarly, Beyblade Shogun Steel/Zero, Inazuma Eleven GO, Digimon 02 or Yu-Gi Oh GX also brought back their Main Character as grown-ups. It’s not bad to bring back Ash if they can take these ideas at least, it could work for Horizons
I don't mind your idea but that would be the set up for a series further down the line. The majority character issue to be addressed is the fact is now world famous. No longer is he the kid from nowhere. He would be hounded everywhere. He and his pokemon will be expected to perform at the top of their game. He will be scrutinised globally. He will be asked for endorsements and such. How does he deal with the fame and pressure. Remember he didn't want to be world champion, he just wanted to battle Leon. And maybe in the end, he doesn't like it.
As much as it hurt me saying goodbye to my childhood hero back 2 years ago, now i feel just glad that they finally let him retire as it made way for horizons which unexpectedly became my favourite Pokemon series hands down in less than just 2 short years despite me being a fan of ash since i was like 5, now a full grown adult😅

ive always had this idea where ash was always there in horizons but just offscreen and he might be in adventure with other the Scarlet and Violet characters like Juliana/Florian and Arven and possibly Nemona (she might just be a short-time partner since we saw her alone watching Roy battle Ryme). the reason hes not in the school while Liko, Roy and Dot is because he probably has done the school mission early. And considering the fact that Liko's story is about Terapagos, Ash's story might leads to Koraidon and Miraidon and they might ended up meeting each other at the last part of Horizons AND IN THIS CASE I HOPE TEAM ROCKET ALSO APPEAR CUZ WHAT IS SCARLET AND VIOLET WITHOUT THE 2 BEST CHARACTER WITH HAIR COLOR LITERALLY CLOSE TO THOSE COLORS.
Only thing I can think of if ash were to continue his journey would be a mix of Pokemon horizons and the story of the game. Ash would join the rising volt tackles as he sees a step into being a Pokemon master especially if he’s going to battling legendary’s like shiny rayquazza. Liko and Roy would be the travelling companions for ash but also students to ash since they both start their journeys. When it come to ash catching Pokemon it be a mix of aim to be a Pokemon master and the standards and maybe he reunite with some old Pokemon and add them back to his team. And the big goal of the series that ash would want to do is to teach Liko and Roy how to become pokemon trainers while managing his world champion role.
If Ash stayed, I don't think he needed to catch anything new besides Dunsparce and Charcadet! In my mind, the full story should focus on him using a new team in each episode!

Ash 100% needs to stay gone. He should have left as soon as Johto ended, and DP was pushing it in terms of how much the showrunners can milk him until SM managed to do the impossible and breathed new life into his character so that his story arc could end on a high note in Journeys.
And if Ash finally Grows up because I am getting tired of him acting & staying as a kid repeatedly & its impossible for a kid to become a World Champion against experience trainers aka plot armor was involved too much it would been cool if ash grow up after journeys & from what u said Ash becomes a Teacher which is cool if only he is older oof
