David Gilmore's guitar is hands down the most amazing things i have ever heard! gets me every damn time! ps. The HEADPHONES ARE 100TIMES BETTER THAN EARBUDS. THANKS GUYS!
David Gilmour is my favorite guitarist. I was fortunate to see him in concert on his solo tour in 2016. He was 70 years old that year and still sounded amazing! As for future Pink Floyd reactions, I suggest checking out 'Sorrow', also from the Pulse concert.
I used to think this was the greatest performance. I listened to it probably 3 or 4 times per week. BY then I heard the live in Pompeii version and I think it's better than this.
What kind of headphones do you recommend? I have had bad experiences with a lot of different headphones...wasted a ton of money because I want and need my music to sound pristine..or as close to that! Thanks! :o)
One of the greatest opinions about that music genius... He is with me many years now and he's traveling me so many times. The greatest guitar solo live ever. The greatest band in history. Pink Floyd send more people to the space then NASA
I just cry every time I listen to this song. This guitar solo is historical! That was phenomenal and so emotional, that was just splendid and extremely powerful! But guess what? I was there that specific day, I was really young. After the concert, we were walking in silence, thinking about this phenomenal concert, looking at the stage sometimes just to remember this moment forever before we leave for good. I also remember the smell of joints, especially in front of the stage (yes, that was, of course, forbidden, but ... Pink Floyd is Pink Floyd, right? Some people couldn't resist!). Now, when I listen to this guitar solo, I always remember that the sound was everywhere around us: spectacular, massive, imposing, powerful, but also perfectly clean! It was so impressive and so imposing. Like: the massive, colossal, powerful, and majestic Pink Floyd machine directly connected to your soul! And I can tell you that we were all vibrating. 90% of the time, during a concert, people are talking, laughing, and having good times; but during this concert, everybody was literally speechless. No stupid or annoying people. Everybody was just "connected". It was like, being in a parallel universe where everything was completely different. That was phenomenal and special, almost "magic" so to speak. And so many people were there, something like 16,300 people. I kept the tickets by the way, hehe - And today, I'm still proud to say _"I WAS THERE, WITH PINK FLOYD THAT DAY!"_
I was there as well, but i thought the Momentary Lapse tour was better. Wembley stadium 88, I WAS ALSO THERE :) And in Berlin 90 to see Roger do The Wall at potsdamer platz, I WAS ALSO THERE :)
@@TheSmittenman Very nice!! My father and I were at Versailles France in 1988, (I was 5yo) then at Chantilly France in 1994, at Lyon France, in 1994, and of course at Earl's Court England in 1994. Now, I definitely need to see Roger Water in concert, hehe!
How I wish I could listen to this song for the first time in my life. The closest I can get to that emotion I felt is by seeing other people experiencing this song for the first time.
Comfortably Numb was the song that made me a die hard Floyd fan 28 yrs ago. This version here has always been my favorite here.No matter how many times I've watched this, it's the same reaction.....tears and goosebumps.IT'S THAT MOVING!!!! David Gilmour----LORD OF THE RIFFS😍😍😍😍😍
How buttery smooth is Gilmour's voice during the chorus on this? His guitar work always gets the props, because it is legendary, but I'm gonna just point out how underrated he is as a vocalist.
True! That was beautifully Phrased. Thor sure loves his rock music. The middle Eastern one will most likely call music a sin or some ridiculous shit like that, like mostly everything else in the Bible’s lol.
Everytime I heard the solo it wrecks me entirely. Is like my heart is been ripped from my chest. So good , so emotional, the best solo I have ever listen to.
For me one of the, if not the best guitar player ever, David Gilmour makes the guitar, speak to you, it makes you feel the full emotional journey there songs take you on. Watching you react, shows just what I mean, the emotion you showed, along with the joy you took from this song, speaks so many words, keep listening to Pink Floyd and other great artist and their music, and reacting with the passion you have in abundance....
I’ve seen this a 100 times and the solo always gives me the same reaction,.(out of this world,…immortal,…divine.)I just put David down to the #2 spot above jimmy Page. In some ways he might even be better.I know what I hear.wonderful reaction,….very appreciated Sarah. Thanks so much!!!!
One of my greatest pleasures is to watch the younger generation discover this song by Pink Floyd! It still gives me goosebumps, even after hearing it what must be nearly a thousand times. I’d love to see your reaction to ‘Time’. Great video, I’m subscribing now😁
Their concerts were something to behold! I only got to see them 3 times in concert, some of my life's greatest joy's and regrets... RIP Syd Barrett and Rick Wright
Well done.. That's how to react to this music, don't pause it ,just let it flow over you and enjoy the emotion. David Gilmour's guitar playing is epic.
It was lovely to see you capture the emotion . You are a beautiful looking young lady and I can see you have the soul to go with it. I was very fortunate to see six nights in a row of these London gigs , the feeling never leaves you with Pink Floyd , best of wishes from Scotland.
David Gilmour has an unmistakable voice. You know it is him the minute he sings.....one of the most magical bands ever...you don't just listen to music..you experience it visually and it hits you right in the soul.
I saw this tour in Philadelphia. I was on the field when that giant disco ball lit up. The rest of the stadium went pitch black. The feeling was like the entire stadium was spinning while Dave played that solo. It was unforgettable.
I worked this show at Yankee and Giants Stadium in 94 before going to Saugerties to build the 94Woodstock Festival. I ran a follow spot from the House Right position. This of course, was their Encore. Nothing quite like experiencing Pink Floyd Live with 80,000 people!
This would be the most amazing thing if anyone else had done it but as it is Pink Floyd there is plenty where this came from!, Great job not stopping the performance and glad you shared this experience with us :)
David Gilmour can play a single note and have it sound sublime and grandiose; this is his greatest skill!! As far as vocals... he does exactly what the song needs; nothing more nor less!! Overall? It's never been about how phenomenal he is... it's been ALL about how tastefully he uses his voice, guitar effects, string bending techniques, finesse and style!! Is he the greatest guitarist ever? No. He however takes you on a journey with him, the song and his guitar!! Pink Floyd & Gilmour are The G.O.A.T.
Agreed. Music is the language of the heart. What emotions are express in someones music is a good indicator of what emotion is dominating at that time of their life. Single emotion music (guess what genre/s) bores me to tears. David speaks the Language of the Heart very very well IMO.
I never get tired of seeing young(er) people react to this video and thank you so much for letting it run and allowing your face to express your reactions. The Floyd were the sound track of my teenage life with a new album every other year: Meddle In '71, Dark Side of The Moon in '73, Wish You Were Here in '75 and Animals in '77. The Wall was a sign that Prog Rock had had its day but Comfortably Numb is still one of my favourites as it expresses so much in words and music. I saw them perform it at Wembley Stadium in 1988 and again at The Docklands Arena in 1989 and the Wembley gig is still the best stadium gig I ever saw. Having said that, I think that the guitar solos on this version are even better. Thank you and good luck with your channel!
Over the years ive had the absolute privilege of seeing them 3 times live and every time was just an amazing experience,it’s something that everybody should experience at least once in their lifetimes, you will not be disappointed at all
I love how much you enjoyed the amazing Pink Floyd. Your face says it all really. I was at this concert, at Wembley arena and was blown away by the sound, lights and atmosphere. And it's great for me to watch someone like you enjoying and appreciating the talent. I can tell by your reaction that you have a lovely soul x
At the very beginning that was the beautiful and sensitive Richard Wright on vocals and keyboard. He is no longer with us, as he has passed on. Watch the concert version of the last time he and David played Echos together. I get quite emotional so I can't view it very often, but it's great.
watching this live is like having your soul pushed out of your body. You'll feel weightless and part of an energy flow that is crossing the other 50.000 souls around you. It's an experience like no other.
You are so beautiful. Where you live, your home is better because you are there. I sincerely hope you are happy and enjoying your life. What a princess you are. I will watch any of your reaction videos after this. So special.

It is another piece of Floyd brilliance from start to finish. And in the context of the album, film, and real life, it is a very powerful message. And a very interesting question: at what point does 'Comfortably Numb' become a bad thing?
Delightful, I am 43 and thus probably old enough to be your dad, but they are my dad's fave band - he's nearly 70 so as a kid had to hear him playing it constantly - so eventually it became one of my faves - lovely reaction, much love from Wales. x
I’ve been lucky enough to go all over the world watching musical performances. Beethovens 9th, Carmina Burana, Bach’s Toccata and Fugue in D minor etc etc in some of the great venues like the Arena di Verona, The Albert Hall and Ephesus etc etc BUT this music and performance is right up there with the very best and will be performed and celebrated for centuries to come I have no doubt. Truly remarkable in every way.
Great Reaction girl, you know good music when you hear it! And great performances see them too. A couple other superb Pink Floyd performances from their Pulse Concert series,..."Sorrow' and 'High Hopes',.... actually they are just two, there are many more from that Show. Pink Floyd is a legendary band formed in London in 1965, they have sold over 450 million albums world wide, that's the most albums sold by any Rock band in history,... except only for The Beatles who have over 600 million sold!

The awesome visual “solar eclipse” that opens the last solo is the perfect metaphor for everything we hear, and where we are being taken. The last half hour of Stanley Kubrick’s “2001: A Space Odyssey” springs to mind - the revelation of all the universe’s mysteries, coming at us in a gush of glorious light and humming soundwaves. This is sublime.

All is good in this performance, but the final solo is extraordinary, like to see you're reaction.
Music. the language that bonds.
True that!

They were partially responsible for inventing the LIGHTSHOW so they never disappoint! I saw them, outside at Oakland Coliseum and counted 104 semi trucks with Floyd lightshow murals on them. So great live!!!’
Wow that’s incredible. All the hard work by everyone involved to pull off one of the most transcendent spectacles humankind has ever known. We really have so much potential.
