I love how much you're loving Pink Floyd.
Me too! Thanks
I love how much you love her loving pink floyd. ❤
Every time a Floyd Virgin hears "Shine on you crazy diamond" for the first time?....... an angel gets its wings.....
I am 63 years old and I enjoy seeing young people listen to Pink Floyd
does that still apply if I'm only six years younger than you..... and I was listening to Pink Floyd for the millionth time wearing an old torn Speedo at the beach today?
I don't think so.
63 also. We grew up in some special times.
Let’s hear it for 63, I grew up in the Los Angeles area Pink Floyd concerts 1975, 1977, 1980, doesn’t get much better
56. Same.
60, and I'm right there with you.
"Guitars want a David Gilmour for christmas"
Lol he got magic hands
LOL 😂
Your soulfull feelings and reaction and stunning beauty, soul and apperance is just wonderful, I´ve been crying for 48 years to this anthem of the millenium...
One of the most beautiful pieces of music ever written.❤️🙏✌️
Couldn't agree more
This is preaching to me religion to me
Agree! With the other two most beautiful pieces of music ever written being Echoes, and Time 🙌🏼
Shine on you crazy diamond is a song inside a song, inside a song, inside a song... A masterpiece, a journey. Long live Pink Floyd
My most vivid memory is seeing Pink Floyd live in 1977 at Madison Square Garden during their “animals” tour! As well as Led Zeppelin the same year, same place. Both life changing epic events
Pink Floyd's music is timeless, it's nice to see the younger generations experiencing it for the first time .... Enjoy
Shine on you crazy diamond isn’t a song.💎
It’s an experience.
God bless Syd Barrett. And Pink Floyd.
Seriously beautiful woman listening to a seriously beautiful song. What's not to love!
I'm 65 and listen to Pink Floyd daily. It never gets old.
The guitar plugs directly into your soul , welcome to Pink floyd , im 55 and the hair on my arms still stand up when i listen to them .
This song is a tribute to Syd Barrett, who founded Pink Floyd, but left the band due to psychological problems (and too many acid trips). There are a lot of references to Syd in the lyrics. E.g. Piper is a reference to the first album " Piper at the Gates of Dawn" where Syd was the driving force in the band.
I am 56 and i enjoy seeing young PPL listen Pink Floyd))
It's sort of obvious when someone is feeling it right down to the marrow in their bones. Lovely reaction.
Thank you so much
Listen to the whole album when you're driving. Out of this world! ;)
I am crying watching your reactions. Now you know perfection.
You don't just simply listen to Pink Floyd...you take the journey with them.
Took the words right out of my keyboard. There are a lot of bands that write music, but I wouldn't necessarily call them artists. What Pink Floyd created here, is as much art as anything I've ever experienced. Seems the older I get, the more clearly I can see the level of sophistication in their work.
5:02 The best four notes in music history.
I have it as my ringtone
@@jonlnz52 Good call.
I wish I was listening this for the first time after listening a million times
nice to see they younger generation appreciate old rock,,,no computers,,technology was infant,,,,true talent at the extreme
Its so pure!
Once youve listened to Pink Floyd...
You are never the same again. The music transcends the psyche.
Honestly
I can see from your reactions that you really like Pink Floyd's music and I'm not surprised. I am 56 years old and I have been listening to them thanks to my father and cousin since I was ten years old. Welcome to a huge community of fans from all over the world... I consider this song an absolute masterpiece and a musical gem!
It absolutely is!
You may or may not know, that this song was written for their friend and original band member, Sid Barret. You can tell that he meant a great deal to them x
I watch in live '94..i'm very lucky man. PF are Heritage of humanity
This bands music is thoughtful and full of feeling. Pink Floyd doesn't produce music, they produce experiences.
They are not just songs
They are an experience and purposely made for you to feel
I am 70. I started listening when they came out with Meddle in the late 60's. Now I have everything they put out. Studio. Live. DVD. Love this song live.
Wonderful

Pink Floyd is art for our ears and soul.
I agree
In 200 years time or more, people will still play this and be astounded at its brilliance, just as we now do for the great composers of the last few centuries, an absolute musical masterpiece, heard it 47 years ago upon its release, still has the hairs stand up on the back of my neck, just love seeing young people dig it too.
It`s still a mind stirrer to me after all these years. Beautiful music, emotive lyrics. You are now a proud holder of A "Crazy Diamond" badge . Love.
Thank you!
Isn't it beautiful...it had the same impact on me all those years ago, I'm almost 60 years old and yes, I still get very emotional.
Best band ever!
True that!
@@SarahDengler obvious
Best band that is no longer touring. Nightwish (Finnish band) is the best band still touring. I rate them the same overall. Pink Floyd was my favorite band ever until I started to listen to Nighwish.
Ahh the music of my youth. I was lucky enough to see them twice. The Animals Tour in 1979? and the early 80’s. Mesmerizing live performances. And yes it touches your soul
Most Pink Floyd songs or their music always leaves you speechless. Sometimes they can punch you in the gut hard, they dig out your emotions memories etc...
That's so true! Digging out emotions and memories was what comfortably numb did to me.
Masterpiece. They were masters at letting the music breathe which is remarkable compared to the engineering of sound available today.
I'm glad you reacted to the studio version.
Thank you!
"They were masters at letting the music breathe..." Splendid observation. I would never have come up with that description, but it is both accurate and eloquent. Thank you Randy!👍
Dark room, volume up, relax DO NOT THINK and go...
I am 58 and still listen to Pink Floyd almost daily. The music can alter your feelings in such a positive way.
True that
This band was tight. It a shame they are not playing together anymore David Glmore on guitar Rodger waters on bass and keyboard this was one he'll of a band. I'VE FIRST STARED listening to them in the 1970s and as someone said it's nice to see younger people listening too rock lm 66 years old and I think it is great
i am 68 years old. Thank you for let me listening to that song throuhg your ears, mind and feelings. Its like listening to the number, for the first time again. You are really precise in your description. i like that..... Warm greetings from Denmark
Pink Floyd is the rollercoaster of emotion. I feel I am experiencing old feelings again by watching your love of hearing these songs , hope and joy to you mi lady from bonny Scotland.
I really like seeing your reactions, Sara, because seeing the pleasure with which you listen to the music that I also love, feeds me back to my 65 years of age. Thank you.
Greetings from Mexico.
Whenever life is getting on top of you there's always Pink Floyd to turn to.
Honestly, the more of their songs i hear the more i realise that
I am very great fan of Pink Floyd....their music is a drug for me....i love the emotion on your face 😊 PINK 🎵🐄🎼 ❤ 🐷🎶🐑 FLOYD
What Floyd allways do with me is trigger all my Feelings and Emotions!
Anyone who is taken by Pink Floyd deserves a subscription. Keep your mind open and ready to discover.
Thanks so much
You felt it. I still feel it, after almost 50 years.
AMAZING
Best band on this planet
Their music takes you on a journey to a different place.
It does! Very relatable
When the sound touches your soul, no words can describe the feeling. Very good.
Amen to that!
The saxophone solo by Richard Parry is so good I thought it must've been Mel Collins. Sublime beautiful tones and ambiance..
And David’s guitarmelody in the back. Magic.
You remind me so much to my former wife who is from the Ivory Coast because she detected by looking the CSI series the music of The Who another brilliant British rock band also founded in the 60s like Pink Floyd. She is also very young and it was her first contact to the rock music from the past and she was also fascinated and didn't know how old this music was.
I love it if your generation will let live these musical gems for the future it's a treasure of mankind!
My favorite Floyd song. Bought the album the day after it was released. Put it on the turntable and was amazed at how great an album it was. The slow fade in and build into the main part of the song is still amazing all these years later. A beautiful and heart felt "Love Letter" to their fallen leader Syd Barret.
God I loved your reaction. Pink Floyd has always been my all-time favorite band and you could see the music touching your soul. Thanks for your review.
Thank you for watching
When they originally recorded this song in the studio a homeless looking man came into the studio control room off the street. He said nothing and quietly watched. Eventually one of the older engineers asked the guy next to him "You know who that is don't you?". No who is it? That's Sid. Founding member Sid Barrett came into the studio to watch. Sid left the band because of mental health problems and spent a chunk of his life institutionalized. Pink Floyd was a very different band with him than without. This song was a tribute to him.
Wow, its incredible. Thanks for sharing that
“13 minutes of perfection” Couldn’t have stated it better! ❤️
Thank you so much
My favorite band of all time. Try and listen to their albums from beginning to end as many of them are concept albums like reading a novel. If you listen to one song on its own it’s like picking up a book and starting on chapter 10. They are the most unique and creative band of all time. Pure brilliance
Wish You Were Here was the first record ( on vinyl ) I ever bought.
The neighbours enjoyed it too !
I guess Atom Heart Mother will get you a blast too, one of my favorite Pink Floyd because of it's originality!
Gilmour lived about 300 metres up the Thames from me. Loved his studio.
Nothing cheers up a music fan as much as watching someone else get their first "Floydgasm". Welcome to the club. And by the way, when someone asks "How long is the song?", the answer is "Never long enough."
Never long enough! Thank you 😊
...their "Magnum Opus" for me, space, emotions, sound, lyrics, music, ...everything has it's place in this 40 minute masterpiece. Saw them with the "animals" tour in 1976, my first concert at the age of 15 and still loving them. Glad to see younger people recognize and feel the "music" which was made 5O years ago. Gives me hope.....
Always found this song to soothe the soul. Whenever having a bad day this one gets my wheels back on track. 🎵
How wonderful
As much as I enjoy this, there is a song called "As Falls Wichita, So Falls Wichita Falls" by the great Pat Metheny which is over 20 minutes long. Simply pure genius and my favorite track to Center me. Not to say one is better than the other, it's just a personal Favorite of mine and just wanted to share with others who have never heard it. Peace
yup,,for sure,,bad day at work,,throw this song on on the way home,,sooothing
Pink Floyd, “Wish You Were”, album you must listen to the whole album it’s a must, also “Dark Side Of The Moon”, Animals, “The Wall”. If you’re going down the Pink Floyd rabbit hole best way to go, listening to the whole albums.
Oh yes! I'm gonna😅
Very long instrumental 🎼 that penetrates the soul…. ❤️Nice voice sis..👍🏽
Thank you my darling sis
Outstanding 👍💓✌️
It is clear from your Viewing figures that this channel must now become the Sarah Dengler Pink Floyd channel! You get everything right, you do not interrupt the Music, you listen and more importantly feel the music and you have a beautiful soul.
Time for Animals yet? if you are not ready then a little Division Bell will make your day :)
Aww Thank you for your kind words 😊
do you like singers?
Shine Syd ! Shine on You crazy diamond... From: Ecuador ... 🇪🇨🎶🤯 Beautiful song ando Beautiful woman... Greatings...
Thank you 😊🙏
David Gilmour G.O.A.T.
Love watching you react.
Good on you, doing the whole side, just as Floyd meant us all to listen to their albums. And providing the lyrics too! What a great morning you're giving to your faithful and new watchers!!!
The lp cover, on your screen, shows 2 (music industry) businessmen making "a deal"... One is always BURNING the other (and the stuntman actually got injured doing the photo shoot!).
Others may write about the famous founder, Syd Barrett, and his several connections to the writing of the album, by the incomparable Roger Waters...
With this kind of content, you will continue to see your subs go rapidly up, regardless of being speechless, or what goes on in the comments!
Right?!
And Very good for not interrupting the song while it was playing!! 🥰
The world's most beautiful song
It sure is!
Pink Floyd showing its not about cramming as much music as you can in a 3 minute radio friendly song. They know its all about building tension and anticipation in the listener
Im 59 and i love peoples reaction
Glad you hear and reacted to one of my favorite songs for over 40 years. I felt those tingles you experience and I really enjoy watching younger generations enjoy songs without using the f__k words.
Thanx
Thank you so much for watching
I can see at 5.47 in the song you really got "Floyded" There's no way back now girl......😉
Dark Side Of The Moon & Wish You Were Here are the top most Floyd albums in my collection.
How wonderful
So pleased I grew up in the age of Pink Floyd when music was music. At least you can still listen to it now though.
That's right, its beautiful
I'm a bit late, but I have a secret: I've listen to this tracks maybe easily THOUSANDS of time, I'm a HUGE fan listening daily to Pink Floyd for years... And...
...I cry every time, I still have my wet eyes now... And it's harder and harder, because I also love Syd Barrett, and those are tough lyrics when you "know the story".
Oh, what a wonderful rabbit hole you've fallen into :D As an old music nerd, it's nice to see someone listen to this for the first time. Almost makes me feel young again (almost).
makes feeling old better than before, doesn't it?
I said, "IT MAKES FEELING OLD" oh forget it..... you fell asleep again.
@@JuandeFucaU Pass them biscuits and turn it up a bit i cant hear with him snoring over there
Moin (-; Sarah, I haven't read all the comments and maybe it has already been written... The song is dedicated to Syd Barret, he was the founder of Pink Floyd, wrote the first songs of them and played the guitar. After becoming more and more addicted to drugs, David Gilmoure took over the guitar part and also wrote songs. However, this song was mostly written by Roger Waters and is dedicated in memory of the genius and friend Syd Barret who died shortly after recording. What a great bow for a friend, I think. Thanks for sharing and many greetings from Hamburg.
Pink Floyd is just amazing, one of my all-time favourite bands, such a unique sound and style of music 🎶🎵🎵 beautiful reaction 👍
Thank you!
The next song on the record is Welcome to the Machine. I saw them play this in 75, first they played new stuff then the old.
Everytime I _listen_ to Pink Floyd I hear something new.
This time, I heard the opening guitar piece as an alien species talking to us. (That perfect first bend-note still chills me.) Asking us how we getting on.
A conversational "how are you?"
And the (musical) response is "Um, ok. But we possibly have some issues."
And then the song shifted to an individual's life and aspiration and meaning and hope and all that kind of trivial stuff.
Oh Pink Floyd does things to your mind, f'sure.
(And I'm loving seeing how you feel the music too, rather than just listening to it.)
This is the most relaxing and soothing song ever made
Indeed 😊
This song conveys a lot, but I found that, after listening to the whole album through, it made even more sense. It helped that I already knew the story of Syd, but I did not know the album directly addressed him.
But the highs and lows, placid moments that slowly, slowly build back up to intense, almost panicky episodes, all came together for me after I heard it all.
"This one's for Syd" ~ Roger
There are many great bands, and they are great in different respects.. but above and beyond all of them in sheer touch and feel and soul, Pink Floyd stands unchallenged. They did what Beatles did on Abbey Road and run with it into perfection.
I love watching someone hear this for the first time. Great reaction. You can never go wrong with Pink Floyd.
Amen to that brother
You reacted so deeply to the song, the notes and passages as this went along and developed. Words don't apply in some cases when one is quite simply so moved.
Bless you my dear and "welcome to the machine" ...the crazy beautiful world of PINK FLOYD
Thank you!
And Alan Parsons solo on the sax 🎷. Wonderful musicians job.
Indeed
No it isn't! Alan Parsons was the studio engineer, and went on to lead his own musical project, but he wasn't a sax player - the solo was played by Dick Parry, who also played the solo on Us And Them.
5:02 it's amazing to see REAL (soul) human reaction to the most famous four-notes in rock history- Visceral Goose Bumps.
i am 49 and have loved pink floyd since the wall album and film and i still enjoy seeing people hear this band because it reminds how much this band really means not just to me but all the people in the future who will discover floyd they will stand the test of time and will be ranked alongside the greatest ever
Pink Floyd's evergreen!
I started this journey 50 years ago with them...in about a 10 year span, the put out what is arguably the best 5 albums ever created, Meddle, Dark Side of the Moon, Wish You were Here, Animals and The Wall, there isn't a bad song to be found anywhere there. After The Wall they were done and their official last album, The Final Cut is really a Roger Waters solo album, worth checking out too is their first album, Piper at the Gates of Dawn and really their first single Arnold Layne is about a creepy cross dresser who steals woman's clothes from clothing lines, that's how unusual they were but there are many strange and weird songs like
"Several Species of Small Furry Animals Gathered Together in a Cave and Grooving with a Pict" ....and the story of original member Syd Barrett is just to much to get into but he is a wonderful sad and tragic figure. Really Pink Floyd is a deep rabbit hole but it's worth exploring.
next one from Pink Floyd - Coming back to life ( live Pulse concert 1994 ) .. 😎👍✨
Added to the list! Thank you!
@@SarahDengler 😎👍✨🎶 good week-end to you 🙋♂️
Yes Sarah another journey and we never stop travelling with Pink Floyd.
i cry every time i listen to this song... sooo good!
This song is about one of the founding members of the band, Sid Barrett, who became a casualty of taking way too much LSD in the late 1960’s and lasted just one album with the band. He was never the same and this was his former band mates tribute to him.
I learnt so, its a great one!
@@SarahDengler Syd Barrett is the Best!
For fun just see how long that first Gm(?) chord lasts for... Only Pink Floyd can hold 1 chord for so long and make it interesting. And that chord change when it comes happens exactly at the right moment.
One of the best musical pieces ever put together. Thanks for resharing.
Thank you so much for watching
