Certainly didn't end up being 15 minutes for me 😁I enjoyed the tutorial greatly and ended up using different low poly models in my scene. Used a smiley face in place of a planet since blenderkit was not installing for me as an add on.
Mine took a whole day to render, don't have a GPU. Thanks for the tutorial really appreciate, I already did the car explosion tutorial, your tutorials are 🔥🔥🔥
Your work and tutorials are well paced, clear and simple, including great hotkeys like shift-tilde! Is there any way to get this mesh displace on texture on Evee? Thinking geometry nodes displace on faces
Awesome video man left a like and a sub but im basically a noob at this and you did really well I've never got this far in a tutorial before but only thing i got stuck on was the numpad stuff and i got super lost but it was a great tutorial none the less thanks for doing this :)
Stick with it! Blender tutorials take a long time to go through whilst you're learning (I remember - a 15 minute tutorial could take me a couple of hours) but eventually, things start to fall into place! Keep going!!
Very nice. Great tutorial. I was able to duplicate everything, except the rendering because my comp is so old Blender won't recognize my graphics card anymore, it just stays grayed out. Of course my CPU couldn't help with the rendering, so. And unfortunately I didn't get to see Dune made last year because it only played in my city one day and the theater didn't tell anyone, which was a major bummer for me as I really wanted to see it. But I love your style. BTW, what is the best way to change the color of the sky to a deep purple?
Your tutorials are great and very detailed while easy to follow, thank you for this - do you full courses where we can learn more? Huge fan of your tutoring style.
Thanks so much Eislen! I really appreciate that! I'm starting to think about producing a longer form course - is there something specific you'd like it on?
@@MediaWayUKLtd umm can you make something related to animation or some camera movement or or you can make a course on sculpting . I would really like to learn that ..btw thanks for such tutorials

Yes - you could absolutely animate the character across the sand. Check out some of my other tutorials on Mixamo and you should be able to figure it out. Thanks for your comment!! 😀😀

Got all the way to the end with the figure, but whenever I try to move the figure the skeleton (?) stays in place and the figure itself warps around it. I can't figure out how to move it all as one.
@@MediaWayUKLtd It seems when I have only the skeleton selected, that's where it warps. Selecting the model itself does not move at all. I noticed that if I change it to rest position, I select the skeleton and move the model, but the skeleton stays in place while the model moves in it's t-pose state. Strange! Thanks for the response too!
Hi MD Tapes. Adaptive sampling is now called 'noise threshold'. It's the same thing, but now you can customise the settings instead of just turning it on and off.
@@MediaWayUKLtd Thank you, the problem that I encounter now is the hexagon shapes on the sand when I add noise node. I followed along with the tutorial but I still can’t figure out the problem

Hi Annie. You could use a HDRI to change the colour of the sky. You should be able to find some in Blenderkit.
Also, look at cloud rendering - free $20 credit here: blendergrid.com/start/mediaway

the bump & noise nodes make like a hexagon repeat pattern on my sand? any ideas what went wrong? checked all settings

Yes - it might be easier to use a HDRI than the sky texture though.
thanks

you can actually export this one into games tysm

perfect tutorial, but my sand dunes have no shade from the sun for some reason? and the sun doesn't seen to be reacting to its settings at all
Nevermind, I just forgot to go back to viewport shading. Thanks!
So glad you worked it out!! 😀
Got all the way to the end with the figure, but whenever I try to move the figure the skeleton (?) stays in place and the figure itself warps around it. I can't figure out how to move it all as one.
Make sure you're clicking on the skeleton (bones/armature) and not the skin.

Hi sir thank you for the tuturiol, can you do an abstract landscape?
Great suggestion Oussama! I'll have a think about it!
My sand is the most pixelated thing I have ever seen in my life. It takes forever to render anytime I TURN. What do I do?
Not sure Benjamin. Try using the viewport in a different mode, or switch to Eevee until you're ready to render.
Oh my, I was searching for this comment. Did you solve this problem?
anyone help here.. glare note is working in the compositing but not showing the result in layout tap oor final render ?
Are you hooked up to the viewer and compositor nodes? Is compositing selected in your render settings panel?
@@MediaWayUKLtd no it was not selected and thank you...

@@factsxinfo You're welcome!! 🙂
Does it have to be cycles?
No, but some of the textures won't look quite the same.
Help. Everything looks too grainy and/ or pixely when I render it. What do I do?
Switch the denoiser on, or increase your render samples.
The adaptive sampling is not showen in the render properties :/ help ???
Hi MD Tapes. Adaptive sampling is now called 'noise threshold'. It's the same thing, but now you can customise the settings instead of just turning it on and off.

Which blender version is useing
I'm using K Cycles which is a paid add-on, but very worth it! Link in my description.
4:15 when i change the base color it's not updated in the viewport
how can i have the base color displayed in my viewport ?
Press Z and check you're in Rendered mode.
@@MediaWayUKLtd thanks a lot
I wound up discovering that blender has a built-in landscape generator that takes a hot minute to figure out
Absolutely! There's a load of great stuff in Blender - ANT landscape is one of them!
btw is there anyway to like snap the character onto the land??it would be pretty awesome and would be of great help😊😘
There is a snapping tool (like a magnet) on the top of the viewport - have a go and see if that helps?
when I render a photo it turns out badly
Sorry to hear that! I will try and help if you can give a bit more information?
@@MediaWayUKLtd Sorry, the mistake was in the camera, but I've already fixed it. Thank you for video
