Create a pro car animation in Blender in just 15 minutes! Complete tutorial start to finish.

- In this tutorial, we will create a Blender animation using free models and HRDI's from Blenderkit and PolyHaven. We'll take you from start to finish, setting up the scene, lighting and camera. Animating the car and wheels for motion blur, and using some great tips to animate the camera. Finally, I have some great tips for the compositor and renderer settings to get a professional looking result in just 15 minutes!

Quick update... Blenderkit no longer comes with Blender V3 and up. You can download from Blenderkit.com/r/mediaway (it's still free and awesome though!). Also, when importing models from Blenderkit, make sure your import settings are set to 'append', and not 'link', else you can't edit them. Enjoy!!

@@wingdefender1977 while selecting camera and car, make sure the drop down menus of the two objects are open, also when selecting 2 items blender allows you to use both ctrl and shift, make sure to use ctrl. This worked for me, hope that helps :)

Step 1 - Watch a youtube tutorial about a car animation in blender, get yourself motivated.
Step 2 - Spend 15 mins for making an animation.
Step 3 - Wait for hours and hours and hours (and hours) for the animation to render.
Step 4 - Get fed up and ruin all your work.
Step 5 - Repeat the steps.
Thanks for the comment Techy Standard! Blender can be frustrating sometimes! If your render is too slow, try reducing the sample count, or try a renderfarm - some of them offer free credit for new customers.
I was looking for a comment like this I hand 200 frames it said 20hrs. I drop to 80. Still have about 5 hrs left

For the wheels go into edit mode select each wheel in wireframe mode from the top view then press P to separate by loose parts.

Thanks Elisha! You can either delete it, and replace with your own license plate - parent to the car. Or edit the textures on the license plate - a bit more complicated! Hope that helps!

hello, this tutorial is really great but when i try to add a modifier to the street lamp i cant add it and i am trying to find a way to be able to not make it a collction and be able to add modifiers, can you help me please, thanks!
Hey Leoschqr! When you add models from Blenderkit, make sure import settings are set to append - not link. You can't edit anything that's linked from Blenderkit.
does any know how to slow down a car in blender because I wanted to add more cars in so it looked more real but it just go's the same speed as the McLaren???
Hi Beau Dean! The cars speed is determined by the distance you've moved it on the x-axis, and the amount of frames it takes to travel that distance. If you want to slow it down, simply move the last keyframe further along the right of the timeline. Hope that helps!

Hi N1ght 23 - try increasing render samples, and make sure the denoiser is turned on. Hope that helps!
