Robin Williams fought for the ending of this film... originally it had Daniel and Miranda getting back together. But with going thru divorce himself (with 2 kids), he thought it was important for the ending to be realistic
They both did, as they both had gone through divorce.
I'm so glad they did! It would have cheapened the feel of the movie.
The ending is so wholesome and bittersweet and relatable.
It’s a much better ending. Because it leaves both reuniting or divorcing as a possible conclusion. What ultimately ends up happening isn’t really crucial to the storyline.
I remember I was a child of divorced parents and it made me soooooo sad that they didn't get back together at the end. I felt like it meant my family would never get back together.
But you know what...I needed that reality. My parents never got back together, but that's ok. 😊
Stu (the potential stepdad) was also supposed to be more unlikeable but I think they changed it to him being neutral so children wouldn’t loathe their step parents.
Robin Williams was Notorious for getting movies deylayed because he refused to work if the production overworked the children. He was a good man and he will always be missed.
One of the funniest parts that's often overlooked was Sally Field's reaction at the restaurant. "The whole time you were...the whole time--THE WHOLE TIME?!!!" 🤣🤣🤣
She went through 12 different expressions in less than 30 seconds, and yet they were all believable. That's actually good acting.
@@osmanyousif7849 incredible acting! She cycled through every human emotion at least twice! Hilarious. 😂
What you mean like when she was in the shower and stuff and getting dressed😂
For someone who isn't really known for comedy, Sally Field crushed that scene. That part makes me laugh every time, her delivery is so perfect 😂
My family quotes this line TO THIS DAY!! One of our favorites for sure
This film won the Academy Award for Best Makeup and for good reason. If someone started watching the film at the moment Mrs. Doubtfire is introduced to the children, they would have a hard time believing she was played by a middle-aged man instead of an elderly woman.
As a child who was caught in the middle of a bad parental divorce this movie always struck a chord with me. Robin Williams was so brilliant and gifted. The world is so much duller without him in it
Same ... still tears me up to this day ❤
Yes, it is. I mean, when was the last time Hollywood released a comedy?! A STRAIGHT UP COMEDY? I swear, the elites don't want us to have any joy. If we have something to live for, we don't have a reason to vote for someone to "rescue" us.
The "facemask" that was dripping into the tea wasn't supposed to happen. The heat from the set lights melted it and Robin just ran with it so they kept it in the final cut.
I think the only thing that stops it being full on creepy is that it's Robin Williams 😅
I guess it's safe to say you never saw One Hour Photo or Insomnia...
"Is that creepy or cute?"
'Yes!"
The implied ending that williams' character couldnt do to someone what he went through, so he got the dinosaur man a small role as a mailman on his show is priceless.
This movie came out about the same time my parents split up. It helped me as a kid to deal with it.
Only two celeb deaths made me cry, Robin Williams and Mr. Rogers.
It's ironic that you mentioned Mr. Rogers because the show Mrs. Doubtfire ended up hosting was an homage to Mr. Rogers.
Same as well much love going out to all the babies who went through it as well still painful
Two great men I grew up watching both
My favorite thing about this movie is that they easily could have made the character of Stu a jerk. He could have been unlikable or mean to the kids but even when they weren't around he talked about how crazy he was about the kids and Miranda. He was a good parental figure and didn't do anything bad, he just happened to be the guy that Daniel's ex now was into and pretty much the perfect guy.
I like how Daniel’s attempts to sabotage Stu sort of make him invest and fight to earn his place, and earn our begrudging respect even though we root for Daniel. Your right, he could have been a jerk or a cad or a total simp. Instead he is handsome and boring and decent, which is perfect because Daniel still has a lane.
But the scene at the pool he’s on the phone with his homie and says I’m gonna ship the little brats off to birding school and then two facingly smiled at them then Danny/doubtfire threw the fruit at him
@@cheechychong7815 I think you're remembering it wrong. I rewatched it and the bartender mentions 3 kids is a lot of baggage and Stu says "Three TERRIFIC kids, and i'm crazy about them. Especially little Natalie." Then the bartender asks about the real dad and Stu says he's a loser. That's what causes Daniel to throw the fruit.
@@cheechychong7815 He definitely didn't do that, at least not in any versions I've seen. Have you seen the Parent Trap? Might be getting part of that confused with this, as the potential step-mother in the parent trap said nearly exactly that she's going to ship her new step-kid off to boarding school, think she even called her a brat.
Probably making him a villain would have felt contrived since Daniel's actions are far worse, heck he almost killed the dude, despite not really deserving it.
I don't know how anyone got through a movie with Robin as a cast mate. I would just be crying with laughter the whole time.
funny you said that. Sally field did an interview where she talked about how Robin kept trying to break her and make her crack up during a scene and she never did. he kept saying "I'm going to make you laugh" and he never could. during the climatic dinner scene Pierce Brosnan made a fart noise during a scene and she burst into hysterical laughter and couldn't stop, much to Robin's frustrations. all the effort to make her laugh and Pierce gets her with a little bathroom humor.
Imagine robin Williams and Jim Carrey in a movie
@@nicholasborkowski3589I’m gonna lose weight from laughing the whole time! 😂😂
He would make me laugh for sure, but at the same time... just cry due to who he was as a person. The man went through a lot, and of course I don't know everything about him, however I relate to him in some ways because people like him who always want to see others laugh/happy go through the darkest storms because of how cruel this world is; his heart remained pure through it all. I hope Robin is resting in peace because he surely deserves it.
Robin Williams could make you laugh and cry like nobody else. A genius.
Throughout his career Robin Williams ad-libbed a lot of his lines, this movie is no exception. That's how talented Robin Williams really was
"I do a great impression of a hot dog."
*Hahaha!*
Every time I see what part, I do it as well & crack up! 😂😂
You know you've watched a great movie when you think back and realize you felt every emotion in there is, and there's no villain.
RIP to Robin Williams miss him so much. Love this movie haven’t watched it in years. 💕
When the camera guy starts dozing off during the dinosaur guy’s show, it gets me every time! 🤣 I think it’s hilarious! One of my favorite parts of the movie!🤣😆😂🤣😆😂
“Oh it’s James Bond, she’s Gone!” 😂🤣. My man you always crack me up! Much love as always! 💪😎
Robin Williams was and still is my idol. He’s the best! I was working at a pizza place down the street from Bridges restaurant when they filmed those scenes. I was a delivery driver and we were super busy that night so I could only drive by during deliveries. I couldn’t catch a glimpse of Robin but it was cool to me that I was so close to him.
I appreciate that they didn't get back together at the end, but that there was mutual respect between them.
I loved this movie as a kid and it’s still amazing today. Robin Williams was such a talented actor.
My goodness I still can’t believe he is really gone. And to be gone the way it happened. I cry when I watch his movies because he was one in a trillion. His presence, his light, his laughter just made people feel so good. RIP Robin Williams. You are truly missed.
Robin Williams gave us so many movie classics
As a child, I was on Daniel's side. As an adult, I recognized how truly bizarre this situation was and how the court would be right to restrict his contact with the children. Also, ironically, his role as Mrs. Doubtfire forced him to learn the skills to be a better parent. I think this film earns its status as a classic. Thank you for reacting to it!
U realize now the courts would turn a blind eye and be on Daniel's side lol
as someone that was a victim of the liberal divorce courts, and as a father now... you're dead ass wrong...
Everyone should be on Daniel’s side

Anytime my mom calls, I answer like Mrs. Doutfire. If I don't, my mom goes..where's my HELLOOOO! 😂
I love this movie! This is just the laugh I need right now!! I just recently lost 2 of my co-pilots and I’m struggling. My dog Nemo died 2 weeks ago from liver failure and one of my cats died from a brain tumor on Wednesday. They were both over 15 years old and lived long full lives but damn I’m gonna miss them! 💔
Love and hugs. I had a cat for 16 1/2 years I lost about a year and a half ago, but today is his birthday, so this edit was def helpful for my day. Hope it does the same for you, and again, hugs from all of us.
Sorry For Your Loss 😪
@@EOMReacts Thank you
@@witchgirl546 thank you.
@Sepheryn thank you ❤
Robin Williams is one of my favorite actors! I watched him back in the day on the show Mork & Mindy! I’ve watched him throughout his career and I especially love this movie!
We all love ❤️ & miss you 😢 Robin Williams.
Thank you for visiting us troops in Iraq in December 2003 🇺🇸
Oh boy, another instant like! A great script and a great cast, but what I love most about this film is that we get to see both funny Robin Williams and serious Robin Williams. Such a phenomenal actor all around. My favorite of his is _Awakenings_ with Robert De Niro, and I think my favorite of Sally Field's roles is in _Places in the Heart_ with Danny Glover, I hope those two will turn up on the list someday. Can't wait!
I put them onto a psychotic long list for him to go through... Like 40 movies from the 40's to the present 😉 #NYGenXBIKERLady
One if Robin Williams best movies you really need to check out is Patch Adams
Absolutely! Another favorite of mine.
Holy shit. I predict this is going to be one of your all time classic videos.
Such a beautiful movie with a great cast & touching performances especially from Our Guy Robin Williams. Can’t wait to see your reaction my Guy!
this is one of my favorite movies. I love this cast we will miss u Robin. thank u 4 making my childhood more epic than it was
Oh dear, it was a drive-by fruiting!
I literally said 'Pulls on your heartstrings" at the same time. I think that it would be weird, but the movie was made for it to not be weird or creepy. Yes, his decision was very risky and crazy even, but he did love them. Makes you think about what you would do for the ones you love, and if you're even doing enough. Glad you enjoyed it!
Every time I watch a Robin Williams movie, it makes me miss him that much more. He was brilliant.
Two of his movies to see (if you haven’t), whether to review, or just because...’The Fisher King’ (love it!), and ‘What Dreams May Come’ (a very underrated film, IMHO).
As always, thanks for a great review and all your humor. Hugs to the copilots!
A movie you might like is Insomnia, It has Robin Williams, AL Pacino and Hillary Swank. A thriller set in Alaska in the summer when the sun never sets at night. Very good movie with a brilliant cast. Robin Williams played an awesome villain when he wanted to.
R.I.P Robert Williams
The last line hits hard... RIP Robin Williams
Gotta find that balance between having fun and real life serious shit.
Naw😊
"So is this creepy or...?"
I know some guys that consider this more a horror movie than a comedy because what a loving father does just to spend time with his own kids. Robin Williams is a comedic genius and he brings humor to a situation so many men go through that puts them in a very dark place. Even if your on good terms with your Ex, the State and Courts are often soulless and do what they can to benefit themselves in their multibillion dollar industry.
Someone actually recut the trailer and added different music to make it look like a horror film at years ago. It's actually pretty good.
ua-cam.com/video/1Ckv_Dz-Sio/v-deo.html
There was actually some fan re-cut trailers that turn the vibe of the movie to be more of a psychological thriller....
Thank you guys ! I remember this one when I was in college. I enjoyed it. Robin Williams RIP. I miss him still. Depression is real.
He didn't die of depression. He had a rare form of dementia that cut off the brain's ability to track memories. Later stages of this dementia result in a perpetual state of fear and paranoia, creating hallucinations, extra adrenaline and spasms of the body. In that moment, it's likely he couldn't remember himself, was in the throes of insurmountable terror and in that moment, saw that noose as an escape for whatever he thought was after him. That makes it all the more painful than just depression, sure. But it's better to be accurate about these sorts of details.
You have the best laugh. Also, that speech at the very end about the different types of families is one of my favorites in any movies ever.
We did have a person like Mrs. Doubtfire when I was a kid..... it was Mr. Rogers. Love the reaction and your interactions with your co-pilots!
HELP IS ON THE WAY, DEAR!
HELP IS ON THE WAY!
Pierce Brosnan, beware the fruit!
It was a run by fruiting 😂
This is a classic!! 😂🤣
I've loved Robin since I was a child. And it broke my heart when he felt he had no other choice. But his choice made take my own mental health seriously. Any else out there, talk to someone anyone if you're having those thoughts.
I’ve watched this reaction at least ten times now and that part where his brother says “honey I’m so happppyyy” and that slow smile that comes to your face is my favorite part of all your reactions
Can't get movies like this too much.
I think Good Morning Vietnam is still my favorite of his. Gold 👍✌️
It's actually on patreon. Gonna try to cut it for UA-cam soon tho
My dad used to call this the funniest sad movie of all time. As a kid, I never truly understood what he meant. But as an adult, I see what he meant. The parts where Daniel had his kids taken away hit him hard.
They just don’t make movies with this much heart behind them anymore. It’s a classic. The 90s were an awesome decade for film.
The ending where you see Robin Williams drive away while hearing Mrs. Doubtfire bid adieu always gets me. So long Robin Williams, you helped a generation get through some tough times. Just by being you and making us laugh.
''It was a drive-by fruiting!''
this was such a great film and story. It was really hard to watch as a parrent and a fan of Robin, I miss him so much it was hard to watch with out tearring up up in a cple scenes, but im so glad you liked it and as always thank you for watching with us🎬⭐
You're such a wonderful audience, EOMR! No fear to show your emotions, high or low. You're cineliterate and humane, just what a public reactor needs to be! Thanks for all your entertainment!!! Keep up the great work, Sir!
I felt sorry for everybody who tried to do a serious interview with Robin.
I've loved this movie since I was a kid. It makes me so happy in my heart when I see someone else enjoy it too.
And my dude, when you get to jammin' out when a banger song comes on, always cracks me up!
You got a 12 year old and you can't cook....you're a terrible dad! SO TRUE LOL🤣
The late great legend Robin Williams💜💜
Man, you did it again. I cried the first time I watched this and I didn't realize why. Your end thoughts brought it all back. Impressive summary of an emotionally complex (COMEDY) movie!
I’ve worked with Mara Wilson’s brother for almost 20 years. He’s told me so many stories about life on and around set with Robin Williams. Every time he brings up Robin it’s nothing but praise and love. For me, Robin Williams was my “hero”. Such a beautiful soul. I miss him.
Robin Williams was a comedic genius and he is greatly missed.
You just treated yourself to this timeless classic. There are roles that only certain actors can do. This one was for Robin Williams. Please react to "Good Morning Vietnam." I really feel that's his best movie.
This film is timeless! Such a good, touching movie. I have loved this since I was a kid! Couldn't have picked a better movie to react to, man.
I couldn't wait for this reaction. JL and Blank, I had a great time watching this. I can't count how many times I've seen this movie. This is my daughter's favorite movie. Her mother, and my son's, divorced. Fortunately my ex and I are still friendly, we never talked bad about each other to our children either. This movie reminded me of a movie I think JL will like, Matilda (1996). Also the other day I thought of the movie Bugsy Malone (1976) for some reason. I don't remember why.
It still hurts that he's gone. RIP Robin Williams. Such a comedic genius and in pain that no one knew about❤❤
“I should never buy … from a mohel. It’s so chewy.” He’s talking about buying chopped foreskin from a circumsizer lol.
I’ve been waiting for this for the whole day .
My siblings and my momma just would have movie night for us all and it was just comedy hour. Till this day we make references to this film it’s a classic and sooooo happy you sittin down to watch it because I was rollin laughin thee entire time! Thank as always for these reactions
i do a great impression of a hot dog: 🌭
When Robin Williams came out of the women's stall as a man and JL laughed I died 😆
Your dogs are the cuuuuutest. Omgosh!! I am only 2 minutes in and my cheeks hurt from smiling.
If you haven’t seen it, check out the titanic reaction.
You’ll love them WAY more. LoL
"Y'all used to play helicopter man" 😂
Love your reactions so much! Another fantastic movie with robin and the little girl is bicentennial man. It is an AMAZING AMAZING movie!
Also, " Best of Times ".
Loved this reaction..
This film will always be a classic!!
Your dancing was epic tho ❤
RIP Robin Williams
I forgot how funny this movie was. Almost spat out my food while watching this reaction video.
I great reaction as always! The copilots always bring a smile to my face also. 😊
You missed the joke when his boobs were on fire and he said “my first day as a woman and I’m already having hot flashes!”🤣. And to answer your question on if what he’s doing is creepy or not, he’s doing whatever he can to be with his kids…..he has big love for them.
Totally agree. I don't get how someone could get creepy out of this. I've seen many reactions of this movie but I never heard anyone discribe what he was doing as creepy because we understood his motive.
your 'Jump Around' dance moves were hilarious
RIP Robin Williams 😢
One of my favorite movie from him
Got the Murder Whistle dancing...
Hope you'll react to "Tootsie" with Dennis Hoffman. Kinda similar plot, but different genre. More romantic comedy.
Also, great movie with Sally Fields "Not Without My Daughters" - based on true story.
That's Matthew Lawrence. His girlfriend is Chilli from TLC!
Loved watching this as a teenager! Such a great family movie with perfect humor for little kids, older kids and adults. I loved how these older 90s kids' movies didn't hesitate to include a little swearing and adult humor! We wouldn't see that today in kids movies. Have a great weekend to you and the copilots!
I'd rather see you laugh than cry❤
. This movie IS not creepy just entertainning. Such a classic Robin was Amazing in this role
Doubt fire is a good one! Lol robin williams will always be magical and my all time favorite Genie 😆 My favorite movie which is hard to narrow them down but i got to recommend it , Good Morning Vietnam.
Love this movie! Great pick fam loved the reaction. Robin Williams movies are almost always worth it. It's depressing his life ended the way it did but it's amazing how much joy and laughter he brings in nearly every role. Highly recommend Hook (It's such a shame that movie was panned so horribly when it first came out). As well One Hour Photo is one that doesnt get enough credit (One of the rare occasions Williams did a horror/drama movie) but practically everything he did was gold. Thanks again!
Oh, you're going to love this one!
4:28 I. Am. Dying. 😂
“Your husband aint even got a change of address yet and you’re already gone”. Im dead. 😂😂😂
Great movie...Robin at one of his best! Love hearing your laugh J.💚
And J...I have helped a couple different people look for their teeth/partials before. My daddy had dentures. Long time ago I had a room-mate who wore partials and she couldn't find them. We looked everywhere and I was just about to go outside and get into the dumpster when my roomie came running outside with joy...she had found them...in her glasses case!😜Thank God!!!! The things we do for people we care about!😂💚💚
Thanks again for another fun reaction.
I legit cried when Robin Williams died. He is irreplaceable and the happiness he brought people even we he, himself, wasn't happy....he was an angel on earth.
Robin Williams can certainly bring out the child in all of us. Another great reaction to a classic and another one of my favorites. Thanks for all you both do JL and Blank! Nothing but love and respect.
That same little girl played Robin Williams daughter in his movie " HOOK" I think. It must have been around the same time, because she looks about the same age. I thought the movie was great. Robin played Peter Pan and Dustin Hoffman played Captain Hook. Robin Williams was such a versatile actor. Good Will Hunting and Good Morning ,Vietnam are good too.
I think everyone will probably agree with me on this that Robin Williams was more then a phenomenal actor he could do comedy action drama this man could do it all
I miss Robin Williams. We need more Robin William's Movie Reactions! ❤
This movie did two things that were unconventional for your typical Hollywood flick. It didn't make Stu out to be a dork or a-hole and it didn't get the parents back together at the end. Filmmakers usually can't resist giving into that(see Liar Liar).
This is going to be great❤
The dancing with the hoover Aerosmith clip is definitely more a nod to Queen's I Want To Break Free, lol. There's an interview with Robin Williams talking about his Doubtfire accent, he started off with a US and English accents and then settled on a mild Glasgow accent inspired by the actor Bill Forsyth.
