For those asking NEW MERCH COMING SOON!! 😋😋😋😋 Do you think she's ready for a snowy, cold AF winter series?! We cannot WAIT lads!!! - We'll catch you in a few weeks when we'll be heading off for a brand new set of winter/ Christmas videos!!
I really hope your sponsors pay you more than they pay others because your sponsor breaks are the only ones I actually watch because they are so fun and entertaining. I skip over everyone else's.
Ok… so it started with Kara and Nate, then it was Eamon and Bec and SLVB. Now i fell in love with Kinging It! Love you guys, your energy, your openness, madness, emotion and videos! We cannot wait for many more adventures with you guys👍
Have to say that your biggest problem is the large windows. Cold will come in and the condensation on them will be unbearable. Best thing would be to semi-permanently cover them up with foam board insulation. Windows aren't really needed when there is 3 hours of daylight
@@jmk1962 why? They want to see the northern lights and experience the winter. Scandinavia is magical in the winter! And It’s seems like they are not relying on the solar and will charge while driving.
I recently found your channel and have been binge watching all of your older posts!!! You guys make me believe that I can do this as well. 5 years ago I lost my husband to cancer, he was 45. Since then I have been in a funk not knowing what to do with my life. Currently I work , come home, do things around here, sleep and get up and do it all again. You know being an adult. I have been wanting to convert either a small bus or a van and travel across the US and see my country. I was born and raised in West Virginia nad had lived my entire life in the same town until my husband passed and now I live with my Mom in Pennsylvania. After watching your videos I have actually taken more steps towards my dreams than I previously had, so thank you for all you do!! God Bless and Love you!!!!!
Aw Christie, we're so sorry to hear that. Good on you girl - only you can decide how you live your life and getting the strength to follow a dream must have been extremely difficult for you - keep at it! And it will pay off one day 💜 You will have that little bus/van and it will take you on the greatest adventures with your husband following in tow in the sky x
Welcome so much to Sweden!! 🇸🇪 Hope you like it here! 💕🥰💕 Please note that it's mandatory (law) to have winter tires (studded or allyear) from Dec.1 in Sweden!! 🚓🚑🚨 (earlier if it's snowy weather) I hope the Scandinavian air will fill both your souls with well deserved peace and serenity. 🥰 Take care, guys! Have a safe journey! 🌍🏔️☃️❄️
Just to add! Important is to get the winter tires that are made for these temperatures because the European winter tires are so dangerous up here. The rubber freeze and it’s not a good situation.. 😅
@@flyingthenest Hahaha, Yes, as your Hunter's Manager, I completely agree on strong future boundaries with Aimee is concern. Congrats again, on expanding your lovely family. I just love ❤ your refreshing fun pack video vlogs & podcasts 👍!!
Omg Craig, please don't treat the bus as a Go Cart this winter! 🤣 We went up to Lofoten in our little car last winter and was absolutely sliding around some places, despite driving in 30-40 km/h... Have you considered bringing some chains for the wheels? It's recommended for heavier vehicles, but I also think you guys will do just fine with all this prep going on! you will have the most wonderful time 😍🫶 Also, if you're interested, let me know if you're considering driving home again through the western coast of Norway, there's so many gems there, and me and my partner would love to host you in our home! 😍 My partner is a mountain guide and can take you on some epic adventures and then I can cook som delish vegan meals! As mentioned in the previous comment we also have our dog Odin which I know Aimee will love!😍 Thanks for always making your videos a fun part of our Sunday routine! Can't wait to see your journey onwards 😍🌻
I'm glad you're a bit worried about the winter and I'm rooting for you!! Preparation is really gonna make a difference. Your waste pipe is gonna freeze. Get some "heat tape" to put on to unfreeze your pipes. You can also keep your water on a slow trickle when necessary. Remember your solar will be so bad because of being so far north. Insulate everything you possible can, especially floors. Maybe install some things that you can cover your windows with that are reflective and will help keep heat in. Your comfort will keep your spirits up when it's dark all the time. Don't forget lots of windshield wiper fluid and a shovel. Slushy roads are brutal on the windows. But, you will find a lot of beauty and joy in the winter. 🇨🇦
It's hard to say the impact that -10C and colder has on your gear. Does your bus have a block heater??? If not, get one!!!! Where I come from, they are standard. They are a thing that you plug in and it keeps your oil a bit heated so that your vehicle will start. It's not just the battery you need to think about. When it's colder than -10 we need to plug in the car so it starts nicely and doesn't cause any damage. (Though I forget from time to time and it's mostly okay). When it's colder than -30C my car flat out will not start PERIOD. I have to wait til the weather warms up. A block heater is a MUST. Driving on snowy icy roads is quite serious. You'll know when you're in it. You won't be racing anywhere hahaha. Drive like Grama's got a crockpot of chili on your lap and she's in her white dress. Do not run your diesel low on fuel when it's cold. This is damaging to your vehicle. Also, diesel needs to warm up before you drive it when it's cold. Like foreplay... you can't just turn her on and go. When you're running in and out of somewhere quick (and it's -15C or colder) leave her on. It's better than turning her off and then immediately turning her back on. So many sex jokes, not enough time. I am really ROOTING FOR YOU! I am from Northern Canada and have lived here my whole life. And still, I do not live in the Arctic Circle. I KNOW people will be SOOO good to you and will take care of you. I KNOW you will experience something beautiful and magical and fabulous. I see you guys. You can do hard things and it'll be so worth it.
Yes to all of this⬆⬆!! Get as much stuff for those windows as you can - they will be brutal otherwise. Also a secondary source of heat (maybe 3rd too). Heat tapes for all your pipes are a MUST as they WILL freeze. Also does Custard have a block heater that you can plug in to start it in the morning??? When it's cold you will need this and maybe Ether as it's a diesel, right? This will help start on cold, cold mornings.
The northern lights are amazing. It’s one of the perks of living where your face can freeze off in minutes. I’ve been blessed to see them many times in my life right from my own backyard.
Hi guys, we spent 3 months in Scandinavia this year which included 7 weeks in Norway, you will love it. I'm so jealous you are going in the winter. I can understand your worry about battery failure. Have you considered installing a wood burner? That way if you have no heating, lighting or you break down you will always have access to heat and potentially you can cook on top of the fire with a cook pot. So you won't freeze or starve and ofcourse you will have access to endless wood to burn. The other thing that might help is to have a nudge bar fitted to help protect the bus from animal strikes. Have you checked with the battery manufacture what tempreture your batterys will work in? Can't wait to see the videos.
Northern nordics in winter can be pretty harsh. Counting on one heat source is dangerous. A small wood burner would give you a great back up in case of emergency. At very least you should invest in sleeping bags rated for extreme cold.
When Mispronounced Adventures travelled to the Arctic Circle last winter he had lots of issues due to the severe cold and wind. One thing I recall is to be able to cover the front radiator grill so that the heater could work. Look at his channel for great tips on how to prevent your engine from freezing as it's a real problem in the Arctic and not to be under estimated. Stay safe xx.
Cat litter in case you get stuck. Helps with traction on ice. 1 shovel to dig out snow if stuck. Candles and blankets in case you can't get unstuck. Surprising how much heat they can produce inside a vehicle. These are all somewhat common in all vehicles where I live in Canada. Also make sure exhaust pipe is clear of snow if you get stuck. Snow can block the exhaust from getting out and go back into the vehicle. Not trying to scare you just trying to help with a few tips for winter driving.
GoTreads and chains. GoTreads are so much less frustration and quicker to use along with a shovel. We also swear by SnatchStraps. We use all three every winter when people get stuck. USA Rural Idaho
I really hope you both are doing okay. You've been talking about needing a mental health break for weeks. It's making me worry! I hope you're getting the help you need. Take as much time as is necessary, and when you feel better we will all still be here to cheer you guys & Custard on through Norway and the North!! 🧡🧡🧡
Love and light to you while you take your much deserved mental break. As you filmed the last bit I couldn’t help but notice your wheelie bin in the background. You two have had a heck of a year. You deserve anything you need. Take care ❤
Love your energy! Out here in Norway it's +13 celsius at the moment - so no panic regarding freezing in the outdoors - yet! If you get too cold, stop by in Bergen and we'll look after you! Can't wait to see how you'll cope in the Nordics
When we start our Mercedes Sprinter busses on Denmark during the winter, we make sure to keep the furnace running, so the engine isn't cold. Just program it to run at least a few hours before you want to start. Starts a charm. Driving it can be a bit of a challenge. Not front wheel drive. Just steer out of your troubles, foot of speeder. Re the condensation. Just keep your AC running all the time plus your heating. AC pulls the damp out and the heat dries it up. Don't worry about it. If you do have condensation just crank up the heat and crack the windows slightly till th eplace is dried up. I drive busses with 50+ people. Using this technique all will be good.
I’m currently building out my own van - After have a week of set backs, roof leaks, and a few panic attacks your encouragement to keep chugging was much needed. Thank you for challenging us to pursue our dreams and bringing us along as you chase yours! 🤗✨
No doubt you’ll see the northern lights! In the past week we experienced -17°C in our van driving through Sweden and… don’t underestimate this! Any humidity will just freeze inside the bus, even our dog’s water bowl, which is inside, where the heater is on. Our grey water tank and pipe have been frozen for the last week and the wiper liquid/coolant in the engine has to be up for at least -20/30°! All things that a little antifreeze and preparation can prevent 😁 which we didn’t have or do 🙈 have fun guys and please drive and stay safe! You’ll love this experience! Greetings @anothervanstory
You guys always inspire! After learning how time consuming it is to make videos, I so admire the dedication and work you do to bring us along as you absolutely slay these huge projects. Can't wait to see Norway through your eyes. Just take it nice and slow on those roads, and always just pull over somewhere safe when the roads are bad. Always keep enough food, water, and extra layers if you need to hunker down for a bit. The world needs you guys around for a good long while. ❤☃🚌
When I was in Morocco with my sister doing research about global adoptions/foster care we fell in love with Tagines! We were back packing so we couldn’t bring a Tagine home with us. If your serious About giving it away, I’d love to give it a new home with me in Canada! Love you guys!
Your bus looks lovely, great job! I’m just a bit concerned that all those windows might make it a bit cold. Perhaps you have a system that allows you to hang some warm curtains when necessary. Slow and steady with winter driving and have your lights on at all times, you will be fine. Best wishes 😊
This is going to be awesome!!! I don’t know if someone has already mentioned but you need to put winter washer fluid so it doesn’t freeze. If you pass by Geiranger or Ålesund come say hi 😋
So excited to watch you guys up in Norway! I hope you have the best time! Hopefully those blues, greens, and likely White's that far north will get you guys back to 100%! ❤
Get a portable Wind Turbine (or 2!) for extra electrical power! You can put a mount on the side or top of the bus and just pop it up when you're parked. The sun's not always out but the wind blows a lot, especially in cold areas, and will supplement your power needs in bad weather and during the night as you sleep! Even a small portable backup generator from Honda, Westinghouse, A-iPower, or others can give you extra security, run for 12+ hours, are as quiet as 52 decibels, and small enough to store inside. And if it's a gasoline/petrol instead of diesel you don't have to worry about the fuel supply gelling up in cold weather (which is something you should look into for your van and add a tank/line heater to prevent your fuel supply from gelling in the cold weather and stranding you!)
You two are such an inspiration for my old ass and so many people across the globe! You got this! I look forward to the shenanigans to follow! All the best!
I am from Norway and live here. More precise location would be Bergen. We have have more then 3 hours a light per day. Today it's sun up 0833 and down 1611. Dont worry about hitting wildlife, we have very low speed limits in most of the country. This concept of being cold I didn't understand. I go in tshirt and shorts all year long. I'll only consider putting on pants if it's 25 Celsius minus or more.
I live on the arctic circle in Finland and I am a BIT worried about the bus keeping you warm or the batteries etc. making it. Hope I am wrong! Good luck! If you find yourself in finnish lapland and need any help, let me know. Happy to help!
You won't get any sola power up in the north. The sun is already going down after 2 hours . But when you get far north no sun .. inland will get down to -30c .. you will need insulated covers for your windows .. your electric bike on the back could end up with a ruined battery out in the cold ... get a battery booster for your van your engine battery might have problems with the cold .. spiked winter wheels should be a must .. at the moment it's just ice on our roads .. no grip with normal tyres.. light bar is a good idea but when it's snowing you can get reflection back in your eyes . Led separate lights could be better as you can adjust them both going towards the sides of the roads so you can see the animals ... drive safe ..
THERMAL COVERINGS FOR THE WINDOWS! PLEASE CHECK ON BREAD AND BREAKFAST LOCATIONS ALONG THE ROUTE OR AIR B&BS IN CASE YOU DO HAVE AN ISSUE WITH POWER OR EQUIPMENT ON THE TRIP! I BELIEVE IF YOU HAVE A BACKUP PLAN YOU NEVER HAVE TO USE IT! ASLO A DOWN BED COVER FOR EXTRA WARMTH. MAYBE DOWN VEST OVER YOUR CLOTHING AND UNDER JACKET!
aaargh so excited! About the animal strikes, some important things to know: 1. be extra watchful of the roads edges at dusk or dawn as that is when the woodland creatures like to come out and play. 2. Deer/reindeer/wild boar will ALWAYS have friends behind it so wait them out. 3. If the worst happens and you do hit an animal, you are required by law to mark where the animal ran off to (with tape or the like) and call 112 to report the incident. You may be fined handsomly if you do not. This is in Sweden anyway!
You'll be OK ❤️. Been here for 8 years now and with a watchful eye and adjusted speed it will all work out. Have so much fun, cannot wait for the upcoming video's 🙌
Thanks for all your encouragement and good examples. I'm faking it until I make it starting at age 65 as an elementary school substitute teacher. It suits me because I get to choose the days I work. Ruling my world! 😂😅🎉❤
Up here in Alaska, we have plug in heaters for our vehicles. Engine blocks, fuel lines, batteries. They have plug inside outside businesses and dwellings. They may have that in Scandinavia. It makes a massive difference on efficiency and ensures you start up.
I saw a comment mentioning mandatory studded tires. We use those too. A must have on icy roads. Mine are on Nov 1 - April. With all of this I say you just keep headed my way after your summer in Canada. Oh yeah!
Love the new look Custard. Looking forward to your next adventures , don’t forget your thermals 😁 take time to be you and look after each other. Keep safe and rest ❤
Looking good, and I’m happy you are taking advice from others about the cold! One thing: practice putting on the tire chains now…..before you need them! No fun to be doing that the first time in the cold and dark.
You two are among the people who inspired us to take the leap and invest in a tiny home on wheels for ourselves. Just got it at the end of 2022!!! NOW we have to consider all the places we may want to take her, so we can be as prepped as possible. Never thought much about cold weather prep before! YIKES!
Hopefully you have a cover for your bike. Snow, slush, dirt etc will coat the back of the van especially driving in a snowstorm. This can be made worse by the sand mix that is sprayed from the snowplows ( here in Canada the snowplows often have a load sand mix that is spread on the roads. The sand mix usually contains a salt type of mixture that melts the ice on the road). Also make sure you have windshield washer fluid that is good to -45c. Finally a good strong snowbrush that has a scraper on one end. Looking forward to your adventure. 🚌🚙🌬❄️
You guys are so lovely and I love living vicariously through your adventures! I think once you get going you'll find all the things you're worried about won't be as big of an issue as you thought they were! I will suggest getting a sun lamp, I lived in the north for years and sun lamps helped with seasonal affective disorder (SAD) and also helped your body with Vitamin D. Can't wait for your trip!
Okay, I got you babes. We just got back from a vantrip in Norway, we drove al the way from the south to the north of Norway. You are in for a treat, and I'm so happy you got to experience this amazing country! We went surfing as well, there are the most amazing places with the most beautifull surroundings. I recommend Hoddevik and Unstad (surfing in the Arctic circle mate). If you are driving all the way up to the Lofoten, there is an island 'Andenes' where in winter you can go swimming with killer whales, aaaaaah. Also, such a pretty island, we loved it as much as the Lofoten (maybe even more, equally as pretty, less touristy). We broke down with our van, and the Norwegian people are just lovely and help you really quickly. So don't worry about it, shit happens but it all works out in the end. Also, we saw the northern lights, in september. If we did it, of course you lot will see it to. Take blankies and you can sit outside the whole night admiring it. I wish you guys so much fun, it's going to be such an amazing trip. All the love and well wishes!
Another great video - as usual - and I can't wait to see your snowy travels but all that can wait. Looking after each other is your first priority and we all support you in doing that. Sending lots of love and positive vibes for you both. 💕
loved it lads, hope you guys have a well deserved break and get yourselves feeling better and back on the travel bug :) see you guys in a few weeks, look forward to another custard banger :)
I live in a VW bus with windows all around in Northern California. No where near as cold in winter as Scandinavia! I would advise swapping out your curtains - make them thicker (winter curtains!) using a thicker fabric and keeping them as close to the window as possible. Mine are made of dropcloth canvas folded over a heavy duty wire that runs along the wall above the window. If I was going to snow-land, I would put a layer of thin polyester fiber fill between the two layers of canvas. The glass in the windows is going to be very cold, and you are going to want a warm layer between you and the glass. I keep rolled blankets along the edge of the bed up against the bottom edge of the glass. I also have about 15 blankets in my bus! Two comforters, two wool, two afghans, one fleece, and the blankets on my bed. Or you might want to get below freezing rated sleeping bags. I am comfortable down into the high-20s (American) but that's only one or two nights every year or two that it gets that cold where I am. I one time, and one time only, had one of my windows crackle and fall out in pieces because of the differentiation in temperatures between inside and outside. Only once. I really doubt that happens often, but it's another reason for insulated curtains. Have a back up for everything. And insulate everything as much as possible! Including exposed tanks and pipes! I know you guys will be smart about your travels in the snow!
Knowing you are going to rely mainly on engineering to keep warm makes me think about a simple natural backup which is the terracota pot and candle heater. so damned simple but could really help if everything else F's up xx
Bubble wrap for the windows (with the big bubbles) helps to condensation, and can provide insulation! Velcro on the edges to secure them easily; then tack a net onto the ceiling to roll and store when not in use! Glue wool fabric to the flat side for privacy, durability and warmth.
I've survived -9F regularly over the last 6 years in my bus... You must have 3 heat sources lined up. In my case, I've got regular Shore Power/Mini-Split, Propane wall furnace, and Diesel heater. Any one of the 3 can go out at any time, but I'm prepared. It's nice knowing in the negative temps, I can maintain 70-75F. Edit: going into my 7th. winter now.
Winter driving tips from the cold part of Canada 🙂 , have you drained/changed the radiator fluid to be rated for extreme cold? No? Could freeze and rupture the radiator. Also, the windscreen wiper fluid needs to be the kind rated for extreme cold (also can freeze into a solid block). You can ask a mechanic to test the radiator fluid to see it's cold rating. Also, as the temps drop, the air in the tires contracts = pressure of the tires drops. Even one PSI drop = loss of fuel efficiency of 0,4 percent, not much, but it adds up. Plus, it wears out the tread more. Have you got great quality winter rated tire tread? Reverse, as it warms up again, the air in the tires expands, so one can check it to bleed it off on the return trip as required. At the very least, new "all season radial" rated tires. Do you guys have ratings on the side wall of the tire in the UK? Lastly, a block heater for the engine? Everyone has one installed here. Cold starts, if they can be done without a block heater, drain the battery. Ah, and the battery should be checked for it's rating for cold starts too. Not a mechanic, me. Good luck! I'm looking forward to seeing your lovely videos of the trip!
I am reminded of a beautiful encouraging and inspiring young lady telling us if we have a dream just go do it and don’t listen to the naysayers. You guys go for it! You’re loving your life! Facing the fear and doing it anyway. From a Kiwi living in Aussie xo
Can't wait! But please take all the time you'll need to get ready. And don't let what the people say scare you, there's always a solution to a problem. Rule your own world. 💜
Absolutely loving this channel! For the trip you might consider making quilted mylar covers for the windows. That will help a whole lot with heat loss. Hope you get to feeling better soon!
Don't forget winter tires are a must. Even with thermal curtains take reflective cut to the size of your windows just in case you need them!!!🤓🤓 We love you ❤ both take care and good luck!! Send your tagine to the US!!🇺🇸
Custard is a Classy Dame and I'm really looking forward to following your next crazy adventures. Love you guys, so take care of each other, and we will see you when you are fresh and ready to go xx
❤❤TAKE CARE OF YOUR HEALTH. Everyone deserves a nice long mental break. I’m speaking for myself but I’m sure everyone will agree when I say - WE WILL BE HERE WAITING FOR YOU.
Make sure you have some thick window coverings to keep the heat in, otherwise when your trying to heat the bus in norway the heat will escape thru the windows .. and thats just what you dont need especially with them being single pane windows.. Good Luck.
Great work on winterising the van guys, looking forward to following your journey. You’ve probably already thought of this but just in case you haven’t, I would definitely take a spare diesel heater or even setup a second one, also you could setup a backup power feed from the van starter battery just in case your leisure batteries go flat or won’t charge and that way you can start the van and have the diesel heater running to warm up and charge your leisure batteries. Good luck, hope it’s amazing up there.
I just heard you say there is water in your washer fluid tank. Please make sure you put antifreeze washer fluid in your tank! So excited for this trip as we are planning our own Norwegian adventure for the spring!
I recommend getting an emergency GPS device that's insulated from the cold. That way if you're.... Let's say in the far north of Finnish Lapland and 12 hours drive from civilization, you can activate it and get help. The good thing about Nordic countries is that if you're in distress they will send a helicopter to your GPS emergency location. It's worth spending the money for this. I would seriously consider it.
I live in Northern Alberta in Canada and have seen the Northern Lights countless times. I truly hope that you get to experience them. Takes my breath away each and every time I see them. Have an amazing journey!
Custard is beautiful! I love the clean, muted color scheme. I’m so happy y’all are putting your mental health first in your life. You do inspire me to be true to myself in my life.
I have to say, from all the youtubers out there who also consume AG1 you are the only one who come up week after week with something fun and very creative. I don't jump to the next section of the video as I usually do. The best of luck with your preparations for Norway!
Custard is looking pretty sharp. Not too sure if this was mentioned before but pack a shovel and make sure your engine fluids can go down to -40C. Think windshield fluid and antifreeze. Windshield ice scrapper to clean the windows from snow and ice. Keeping some of your window covered will help to keep the heat inside Custard. Found you a few weeks ago from Eamon and Bec. Just finished binge watching Custard build to now. I love your energy and how honest you are with talking about your mental health. Take care lads, stay safe and looking forward to your next adventure. Here’s hoping the night sky will glow for you in the north. 🇨🇦
Hi, OMG guys , you need a few more things to check and to buy...Please. You need Windshield Wipers for Snow and Ice and also windshield fluid for snow and ice. To make sure not to freeze your feet, please Aimee Carpet all your Floors even where you drive. Because your windows are not double you should by heavy curtains to block the cold, they do keep the cold out. If you can ISOLATE all your cabinets. Girl from CANADA, I KNOW Love you guys so much. Enjoy your trip.
I’m so excited for you both! Take all the time off you need. I so hope you see the lights. It’s on my bucket list for sure. The bus looks great. Thanks for all the great videos!
Oh it looks just PERFECT and SO COZY! I'm so excited for you guys - best part of the video was when you said you'd be taking some time to slow down and spend more time with each other. That's all that really matters! I'm also thrilled to hear you're taking some time off for a mental health break. I think I speak for everyone (or, at least, everyone who's not a troll) when I say you DESERVE that time, and you should ALWAYS prioritize your mental health over filming! 🙌Looking forward to the day when you have some new stories to share!❤
Hoping your break gives you the peace of mind needed and puts you in a better spot mentally…so important to listen to your mind and heart and care for yourselves. I’m very proud you took the time needed and I hope it gets you both Norway ready. We will all be here when you feel ready to return! ❤️ As far as the video, that tajine is stalking you! Send it over here to me in the States…I’ll give it a good home in your honor! 🤣 Wishing you the best of love in the beautified Custard and sending you all the warm vibes! Love you guys and your videos! ❤️
Hot water bottles!!! If you have gas or some way to heat water if the batteries fail, spend a few quid on a couple of hot water bottles. When the power/heating went off in Texas for days on end and it got down into some serious below zero digits, it was the hot water bottle that my grandma back in England had given me that kept me warm/alive. Plus they're just lovely down by your toes on a chilly day no matter what.
Chill for as long as you need to recoup yourselves ......... chilling is the best medicine just watching with a cup of tea the world go by is great and sometimes you get to see the best things ........ look after yourselves xx😎
Sending🙏🙏🙏's and❤️❤️❤️ to the fruition for all your hearts content. Thank you for taking me on your journeys and this one in particular!! May much safety, peace, and warmth (and incredible Custard, love the reno BTW) always be with you on this trip😘🥰❤️
I started watching Kara and Nate.. then found Eamon and Bec ! And now you guys!! I love watching you all!! You guys are awesome Love from Ontario Canada 🇨🇦
In Canada we have block heaters so our engines start in the mornings after frigid night temperatures. They aren't too dear, but you would have to be able to plug one in....
You take all the time you need for YOU.....NORWAY? SWEDEN? AND OTHER ADVENTURES AWAIT YOU WHEN YOU ARE READY! THEY ARE NOT GOING ANYWHERE!! YOU BOTH ARE IN OUR PRAYERS....TAKE CARE OF YOURSELVES, KEEP SAFE AND HEALTHY! CANNOT WAIT TO JOIN YOU ON YOUR ADVENTURES, VIA ALL YOUR AMAZING. VIDEOS!! THANKS FOE ENRICHING ALL OF OUR LIVES, AND TEACHING US SO MUCH ABOUT LIFE, LOVE, LAUGHTER, HEALTH AND OUR VARIED EMOTIONS!! REST UP, TAKE CARE....SEE YOU BOTH WHEN YOU ARE READY!!! HAVE BLESSED HOLIDAY SEASON, WHEREVER THEY FIND YOU!! HUGS!!
Custard looks great! Definitely get some insulated window coverings, extra de-icer windshield wiper fluid, chains for your tires and layer up in all things wool! I live in wool socks in the winter! Take the time that you need. I appreciate people who take mental health days. It keeps you healthy in body, mind and soul.
I love you guys. I was feeling very down today overwhelmed with the all the chores adult life makes me do. I keep thinking I am not build for traditional way of life and it upsets me very much to being have to comform to that idea. But seeing you gives me hope that there are other ways to live like truly live the way you want to live and be happy. Thank you for inspiring me. I know I don't actually know you on a personal level but I really feel like some how I do. You are like my soul big sister and brother that I look up to. Your videos are always the highlight of my day!
For those asking NEW MERCH COMING SOON!! 😋😋😋😋

I love that you both put you mental health first and arn't afraid to be honest about it.
I really hope your sponsors pay you more than they pay others because your sponsor breaks are the only ones I actually watch because they are so fun and entertaining. I skip over everyone else's.
haha thanks you Reemo! I'll let them know!! 😂
I don’t always skip others promotional sections but Craig and Aimee’s are the only ones I truly enjoy.
Me too!
Seriously I always skip but you guys have me laughing out loud.
So true!
Ok… so it started with Kara and Nate, then it was Eamon and Bec and SLVB. Now i fell in love with Kinging It! Love you guys, your energy, your openness, madness, emotion and videos! We cannot wait for many more adventures with you guys👍
Aw Louise, you babe. Thanks so much for coming over! Welcome to the mad house xx
Have to say that your biggest problem is the large windows. Cold will come in and the condensation on them will be unbearable. Best thing would be to semi-permanently cover them up with foam board insulation. Windows aren't really needed when there is 3 hours of daylight
We have this all covered (pun intended LOL) new thermal blinds coming THIS WEEK! 😝
If there's only 3 hours of daylight, wouldn't it be better to go there in the spring/summer?
yep loads of glass ...
Blackout curtains should work. ❤
God Bless and Love you!!!!!
this is a lovely post and i wish you all the best with your adventures :)
❤
Go for it!
You go Christie!
Welcome so much to Sweden!! 🇸🇪 Hope you like it here! 💕🥰💕
Please note that it's mandatory (law) to have winter tires (studded or allyear) from Dec.1 in Sweden!! 🚓🚑🚨 (earlier if it's snowy weather)
I hope the Scandinavian air will fill both your souls with well deserved peace and serenity. 🥰 Take care, guys! Have a safe journey! 🌍🏔️☃️❄️
Just to add! Important is to get the winter tires that are made for these temperatures because the European winter tires are so dangerous up here. The rubber freeze and it’s not a good situation.. 😅
Sooo just checking where we will be sleeping so we can come gate crash this trip! Need 2. Baby seats plz
haha we wil sleep in a tent outside with no pillows if you guys come see us!! 🌹
OMG! Another Hunter & Aimee Make up lesson, Nordic Viking looks!!!

If you don't have the time/money invest in a small jetboil as a back up for cooking x
Bring cable chains.
You two are such fantastic people. Thank you for sharing your lives. Enjoy your well-deserved time off.
Thanks mate - we have it 😊
So excited to watch you guys up in Norway! I hope you have the best time! Hopefully those blues, greens, and likely White's that far north will get you guys back to 100%! ❤
😘😇
Love that you're going to Sweden! But yes, be aware of the moose
Thanks Jen - will do! 👍
You are two people who encourage others with such great attitudes! I love your bus, the size and everything else, best to you both!
Looks like you’re winter ready! I’m so happy to hear you two are taking care of your mental health first. Take as much time as you need. ❤
aaargh so excited! This is in Sweden anyway!
thanks Marloes for this info - we're PRAYING it doesn't happen but good to know what to do if it does
You'll be OK ❤️.
haha yeah mate that's the way! Good on ya!
awh what a post love this
Cooking in the thahine is SO lovely you dont need much fire so very off grid like
Yahoo! Craig and Aimee are back. Much love and blessings sent your way!❤❤❤
Up here in Alaska, we have plug in heaters for our vehicles. Engine blocks, fuel lines, batteries. They have plug inside outside businesses and dwellings. They may have that in Scandinavia. It makes a massive difference on efficiency and ensures you start up.
Yup we have that for sure. I wouldn’t start my car without it in the winter.
Take care of each other and can't wait to see your new adventures in the snow !💗❄️
You two are among the people who inspired us to take the leap and invest in a tiny home on wheels for ourselves. Just got it at the end of 2022!!! NOW we have to consider all the places we may want to take her, so we can be as prepped as possible. Never thought much about cold weather prep before! YIKES!
Craig and Aimee, I wish you safe travels in Norway. I hope that Custard runs super for you❤️❤️
Hopefully you have a cover for your bike.
Thermal film on windows, thermal blinds , lagged pipes , curtain to block of cab area!! Awesome adventures ahead!
loved it lads, hope you guys have a well deserved break and get yourselves feeling better and back on the travel bug :) see you guys in a few weeks, look forward to another custard banger :)
Thanks so much!! 💜
I know you guys will be smart about your travels in the snow!
i'm always so excited to see your journey! you guys inspire me so much! i aspire to live a life as cool as yours!
Knowing you are going to rely mainly on engineering to keep warm makes me think about a simple natural backup which is the terracota pot and candle heater. so damned simple but could really help if everything else F's up xx
Custard looks great. What a wonderful job you have all done. Something to be seriously proud of.
YAY! Custard is BACK!!
Have a great fabulous trip to the Scandinavian countries you beautiful people ❤😂🎉
Best AG1 ad!!
Make sure you have some thick window coverings to keep the heat in, otherwise when your trying to heat the bus in norway the heat will escape thru the windows .. and thats just what you dont need especially with them being single pane windows.. Good Luck.
That's the plan Kymber - thermas blinds have just landed!
Custard is looking amazing and so do you guys! Taking care of yourself is number one and we will all be here waiting for you when you get back! 💜
Jackory batteries, give them a call. Excellent
It is good that you guys are fixing everything. Stay safe and warm. Best regards from the USA.
Most awesome! Have the most restful and rejuvenatin' break ever! See you when you get back.
I bought a van this week! Started with the first steps of conversion.
Spare diesel heater and insulated blinds for windows a must.Looking forward to the adventure.
I’m so excited for you both! Take all the time off you need. I so hope you see the lights. It’s on my bucket list for sure. The bus looks great. Thanks for all the great videos!
Thank you so much Shadie x
I'm excited for it. My advice is to find insulated window covers as they are going to let a lot of cold in
Love you craig and aimee xxx Take care of yourselves and each other xxxxx
Oh it looks just PERFECT and SO COZY! I'm so excited for you guys - best part of the video was when you said you'd be taking some time to slow down and spend more time with each other. That's all that really matters! I'm also thrilled to hear you're taking some time off for a mental health break. I think I speak for everyone (or, at least, everyone who's not a troll) when I say you DESERVE that time, and you should ALWAYS prioritize your mental health over filming! 🙌Looking forward to the day when you have some new stories to share!❤
I’ve got anxiety reading some of the comments too Aimee. But you guys will do fine. I have great faith in you. Let the fun begin ❄️ ⛄️
Hoping your break gives you the peace of mind needed and puts you in a better spot mentally…so important to listen to your mind and heart and care for yourselves. I’m very proud you took the time needed and I hope it gets you both Norway ready. We will all be here when you feel ready to return! ❤️
As far as the video, that tajine is stalking you! Send it over here to me in the States…I’ll give it a good home in your honor! 🤣
Wishing you the best of love in the beautified Custard and sending you all the warm vibes!
Hope you see some of Denmark while you're there =)
I started watching Kara and Nate.. then found Eamon and Bec ! And now you guys!!
I love watching you all!! You guys are awesome
Love from Ontario Canada 🇨🇦
These three are the best!!
In Canada we have block heaters so our engines start in the mornings after frigid night temperatures. They aren't too dear, but you would have to be able to plug one in....

Custard is looking beautiful! I'm excited about your northern adventure! Rest well we'll be waiting ❤️
Beeing danish, I do wonder what your exotic point on Denmark will be? We call the winter the grey summer... I wish you the best trip ever :-)
