Thank you for the fly-over of the property - it gives one a good idea of how the property is laid out and the relationship of the various buildings and gardens to your cabin. Great video.
You've done so much to this property, in such a short time!! Its AMAZING! I hope you don't ever sell this one!! I was very sad when you announced you were leaving the other one---after all the work you had done there! Also is the little remote cabin you went to of yours, a couple times each year, is it just to far to go there anymore???
Absolutely loved that drone footage at the start - as you said, it was great to see the buildings in relationship with each other. Its all laid out so thoughtfully - neither too far, nor too close!
What's amazing to me is the amount of work you both have accomplished in the short time you have been on this property! Truly a dream team in the homesteading world.
Beautiful drone shot of your property. You two are an inspiration to your subscribers and we want to see 1M+ in 2025. Thanks for the time and due diligence in posting videos for us weekly.
Under 2 minutes in, just paused to say... The ariel view of the property is amazing. Shows us viewers how it's all layout and how big the garden & quonset hut really are as well as how much snow y'all already have! Love this channel, it truly is my very favorite! Ok...now back to the video 🤪😘
The lumber mill and the Branson really have been vital to all your projects recently, two really good purchases that you're getting your full money's worth out of!!
The northern lights and the drone footage are so wonderful!! And your music choice to accompany them is fantastic!! You are far and away one of the best channels for quality!!!
Oh my, God, the aurora borealis is magnificent. What a beautiful place to live. Thanks for the great photography and sharing your progress. You've done A LOT this year. God bless. Wowskis!
I made some walnut cookies for a buddies wedding reception.Cut them, let them dry and coated with oil until they wouldn't take anymore and let the oil dry. Several people have used them since at their receptions as a base for the centerpiece at each table. All cookies will split eventually. Hardwood more so than softwood. It's the nature of wood drying and there's nothing you can do to prevent it. They're still neat with the split. :)
I appreciate the time you spend making these videos that show how you live, in my opinion this is what being an influencer on UA-cam is all about. I really like you two and how well you sync on the things you need to do. I hope you never stop sharing 🙂
I hope the sellers, see your videos, and love that your expanding the great property. Yesterday and through this morning we got between 15 and 20 inches.
You two are a great team! You have a whole bunch of projects and I appreciate your skills and perseverance, I appreciate you explaining your schedule and do not feel even a tiny bit that you have failed in any way-to the contrary you have succeeded repeatedly and MORE POWER TO YOU! Love the great vids of the Northern lights and of all your progress. Stay Safe and warm.❤
The fly over of the property was great! Love being reminded of where the projects are in relation to everything. Spectacular footage of the Northern Lights and the snow and snowing. Music spot on as always. Arielle, so proud of all the skills you have acquired, you GO Girl. You and Eric are literally MY HEROS in this crazy world. You give so much to us and we appreciate it!!❤❤❤❤
You two have done a wonderful job on creating a home on the land you purchased. A lot of work has gone into what you two have created and built. You should be proud.
We lived in northern BC for many years and saw beautiful dancing northern lights of many colours. My mother passed away in mid September and the night of her passing we had some beautiful northern here in central BC. My daughter-in-law said it was Grandma flying up to heaven. Now that’s what I think of when ever I see them.
Sending peace and love your way ❤️ May your Mom rest in eternal peace in God's loving arms ❤️ Speak of her often keeping her memories alive ❤️ I miss my Mom every day. I love how you have the Northern Lights, to remind you of her ❤️
I think consensus is most want more videos. I also believe we know how much and hard you work. Your homestead is proof of that, I am thankful I can a video a week. However, if you ever need more to do (🤗) we would enjoy a random video now and then. Thank you for bringing us along on your journey. Be Blessed 💖💖🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
I wait in anticipation every week to see when you guys upload. Your videos are more than entertainment it is therapeutic. Your video production is top notch and the simplicity of you two way of life and personality is such awesome. I am anxiously awaiting your next upload. Keep safe and warm as your environment changes.😊
A different video but I really enjoy all of them. I'm very interested in seeing your Cookies being placed where they belong. Your cat is enjoying life. Thanks
So happy to see your newest video drop. I love what you both achieve, the fact that you show the successes and problems alike. You make wonderful programmes - never repetitive, always interesting, and utterly beautiful to watch. Thank you! Actually, I watch your videos more than literally any TV programme series.
That is incredible ...what you have achieved in such a short time in the new location is very impressive. You realised you needed more space to fulfil your dreams, you made the decision to move, and you have achieved so much already here in the new place.....so looking forward to seeing what you do next year and beyond....but it's not just the story of your life we want to follow...the cinematography of your videos is just fantastic, and gives us such a clear sense of how life evolves through the seasons in Alaska.
To me it seems you have in such a short time already produced more than enough to supply your own needs, so maybe now you are able to provide some for others ? ....and maybe you have the start of a business providing local produce ? ....maybe even employing others long term.......your work ethic seems to me that you can produce way more than the two of you actually need
I’ve been binge watching your channel since I first discovered it several weeks ago. I have nothing to say that hasn’t been said already. So well documented, photos unmatchable an amazing couple! Well, today I finally caught up and I’m looking forward to see where you take us in the future. This channel will be looked at for years to come and a reference for those who want to see how you two did it. I’ve been to Alaska 3 times (cruise ships) always wanted to see the interior. But as an 81 yr old I would never have seen it except through your eyes. Thanks again!!❤
Great to see you cutting more firewood and shutting the sawmill down as winter has begun in Alaska there and getting the seed room fixed putting the wood cookies in it. have a great week and take care have a warm Halloween night thank you.❄️🏘️🇺🇲:)
I'm just amazed at all the cool things you've done over the past 5 years. Im imagining you guys laying awake at night conjuring up new projects. The mill is incredible ❤
Always loved the children’s book by Shel Silverstein, The Giving Tree! For my Montessori elementary classroom I brought in a short tree stump/tree cookie that i attached wheels to. The kids really loved sitting on the tree cookie to read a book. And it could be moved to a quiet spot in the room. Often next to Sprinkles (our classroom parakeet) living in a tall birdcage. Amazing!
So great that you're setting yourselves up to be able to work on projects all winter in the warmth of your shop! What an invaluable investment that was to put that in.
sometimes I forget how much time you must spend creating these amazing recordings/compilations on top of your homestead day jobs! Loved the mood music in this one also!
I love that you guys have a sawmill, and you can cut all the timber you need from projects, but don't burn the saw dust. Use it in your chook shed. I use a deep litter system in my chook shed about 15cm(5 to 6 inches deep, and I use saw dust it is most excellent it soaks up all of the moisture from the chook poo and it takes all of the smell from the chook shed. I only change it twice a year straight into my compost, and all that natural nitrogen is perfect for the garden.
No, I don't watch them all. I just wasn't sure whether you did use it or not. I'm on a no spend garden ( or as little as possible) because when we moved to our current house, the yard was a complete desert of grey sandy dust. So, growing soil, adding organic matter and cover crops have been the most important part of my garden, and the chickens have been instrumental in the process.
@novampires223 it's so good in the garden after a year in the compost, and the cost of compost and soil here is prohibitive. So I've finally graduated to three garden beds after four years in the garden because of my need to grow my soil first. My chickens are a fundamental part of it.
It seems just yesterday you were coming out of hibernation and today you're prepping for winter once again. Where has time gone! Hugs to you for a great winter season!
Eric and Arielle I have gotten so accustomed to watching your videos over the last 3 years that I can't wait for them to come out. You guys make a very good team and I enjoy watching what you do. It is amazing how far you've come since I started watching your videos 4 years ago. I am an avid fan, stay warm. Stay safe from a great admirer😊
“and now, for the musical portion of our travelogue tonight…”. Your cinematography is excellent! I love your videos! You two are exceptional in pretty much everything you do…hugs from Texas!
I'm watching your video of it snowing in Alaska, and meanwhile, it's 85° here in Dallas TX. Crazy! I was hoping this snow video would cool me off, but alas, I'm still sweating. Thank you for sharing your life with us. This channel is my hands down my favorite. And I'm probably not even close to your target demographic. But if I could do my life over, I would definitely do what y'all are doing in life.
Wow, I don’t know which one of you does the editing for these videos but it’s next level! Truly better than TV programs. In fact, I don’t even watch TV anymore. I only have time for UA-cam videos like yours! GREAT JOB 👏
Thank you so much for showing up today. You have no idea how much I needed your wonderful video. The peace , beauty, loving partnership, flying in spirit with the drone. 😊 was much needed. The lower 48 is in much turmoil I hate to admit. So thank you 🙏 ❤❤❤
sooo much bigger then the last place. i knew this place was going to be amazing didnt realize would be THIS amazing. i have been watching you guys for YEARS!!
Beautiful work. Can't wait to see that on seed room wall. We did a cookie wall once & it looks amazing when all done. Thank you for sharing you guys and love the drone shots. And by the way, I always seem to be hungry when done watching your video's. Love the cooking segments 😉
What a great video! The majestic and peaceful snow-capped forest took my breath away. It’s the end of the sawing season and you guys are still hard at work preparing wood for winter projects, especially the wood paneling for the seed room - so cozy and creative. The French meatballs must be the perfect reward after a long day of working outdoors. May God bless you all on your journey in Alaska!
You two could be producers of movies, the way you edit your videos. Your videos have good nature scenes that come to life. I am always happy when your new videos are posted. You have good teaching and educational videos. Keep them coming.
My favourite part of my week you both have done a fantastic job on the new place thinking it’s time for a new puppy around the place 🏴🏴from here in Scotland 🏴🏴
Yeah, we had our first snow/ice on our 2x a week run through Montana Thursday/Friday. Tomorrow is looking like heavy snow and blizzard warning for the Glacier area. Yay? Winter cometh! Stay safe and warm, folks! You two had a busy Summer, time to sit back with a cup of coffee/cocoa and relax for a few months (except, all the Winter chores and trips!). lol
The north wind blows, the white wolf howls, the northern lights run wild. It's winter in Alaska! Damn! I wish I was there! Happy All Hallows Day! ❤❤Lori from Oregon.
I am just always mindblown by the magnificent outcomes of your various projects and undertakings! (That Quonset hut still always blows me away!) The expertise Eric exhibits, often with little or no previous experience, is magical! You two are such a well-matched team. You complement each other so well in work ethic, determination and dedication to the wonderful life you have created there for yourselves in Alaska! Kudos!
Hard work, good food; livin' the good life! It was so nice to see the property layout -- I had been wondering for a while how it all fit together. Lovely to have so much space and so different from your previous property. It will be fun to see the cookie wall come together.
So jealous of your lifestyle, what a way to live beautiful scenery.fresh air and the northern light's. Everything about the way you live hard work never hurt anyone. We live in the UK, if we get 2 inches of snow we start to panic thinking we cannot get to the shops. Please keep the videos coming I enjoy them so much. Keep safe.it's a jungle out there It is in Manchester UK.
Great opening aerial shots as well as the land and the beautiful river landscape absolutely astounding. I will agree with the other comment her that says, please put out more videos as I to look forward to all of your adventures. I cannot wait to see what you do with those cookies. All of your equipment is just simply amazing. A 75 year old woman living in Northern California in Santa Rosa.👩🏻🦳❤️💪🏻
Another fav Alaskan couple that I admire. So organised, working together as a team and forward thinking. Loved the aerial view of your homestead. Happy to see your self sufficient life, whenever you share your videos. Don’t be pressured into churning out videos just to please us viewers. I’m just happy to see what you share. But miss seeing Bandit and Beau. Will you get another dog in Spring? One used to the cold? That meal looked delish but don’t know if I could eat bear meat. Thanks for sharing. 🇦🇺 fan
I think you kids are the future of America. You know the value of hard work, and are not afraid of it. Y’all can be co-presidents. Also, that meal…my mouth is watering.
Am I selfish to say I need y’all to put out vids more often?? 😂😂 I look forward to seeing y’all every week. Hands down my favorite channel
I feel the same way.
Definitely! Just one more video per week (for now 😅)
My goodness. Once a week is about all I could expect for a full time company to produce. “I Love Lucy” is an excellent example.
I know how hard to edit videos but yes I want to watch more.... Thank you for really beautiful
videos from Alaska.
I was just thinking the sane thing!
Thank you for the fly-over of the property - it gives one a good idea of how the property is laid out and the relationship of the various buildings and gardens to your cabin. Great video.
Yes, loved that drone footage.
Hey one eye done ye look so good

Agreed. It really helped to make sense of the layout etc.
What's amazing to me is the amount of work you both have accomplished in the short time you have been on this property!
Truly a dream team in the homesteading world.
It's bonkers how productive these two are.
You keep your property so tidy. People could learn from you. So glad when you post.
100% - mess just makes me stressed!
What you have accomplished in 18 months is astounding …🥰🥰🥰🥰
The flyover made me realize just how much you've done this year. Astonishing.
What a beautiful world the Lord has made. Northern lights just hard to imagine
Amazing
Amen!

Early winter up there looks like a Black & White film.
Under 2 minutes in, just paused to say...

Nice Birdseye view of the property during the intro, puts everything into perspective.

I found that out the hard way, picked up a cookie of pine from a saw competition.
It annoyed me that it cracked

What a beautiful home you have made!
I love the sawmill building. My only suggestion would be to cover the side with the prevailing winds to block snow and rain from blowing in.
This was my thought also. Suffer as little as possible. 😮😅
Thank you so much for the aerial views of your property. It's really nice to be able to see where all the structures are in relation to each other.
Wow lots of wood working. Sometimes work never stops

Love watching you two.
Amazing!
Loved that author! I need to buy a copy for all my grandchildren
Love the drone shots and amazing to see all your hard work around the property in the time you both been there xx
DIY projects, gardening, hunting, fishing, cooking and amazing videography, this channel deserves way more views
So great that you're setting yourselves up to be able to work on projects all winter in the warmth of your shop! What an invaluable investment that was to put that in.
The COOKIES! Beautiful! I can’t wait to see them in the seed room!
Thanks for the video. The melancholy guitar music gave me a great vibe as you continued to use the saw mill.

Great opening aerial shots as well as the land and the beautiful river landscape absolutely astounding. I will agree with the other comment her that says, please put out more videos as I to look forward to all of your adventures. I cannot wait to see what you do with those cookies. All of your equipment is just simply amazing. A 75 year old woman living in Northern California in Santa Rosa.👩🏻🦳❤️💪🏻
living the good life
Another fav Alaskan couple that I admire.

Guess I've never noticed until this areal shot hw small the cabin is compared to the quansant hut.
The cabin is 500sf the shop is 2400sf ;)
Thanks!
