Footage are from the beta in 2017 lol and they are already surprised of some of these weapons, so now... 😉
There are different foundries in the game, The Sniper, Auto Rifle, and Sidearm are from Veist designed for Fast Firing and Quick Handling. The Retrofuturist Shotgun, Does Not Compute and Better Devils are from Nadir. The SMG with the tube on top is from Omolon, who use an unknown liquid as a projectile, the "eye of sauron" on the side of it, is the ammo indicator on it, the less liquid in it, the less ammo you have. Scathelocke isn't made by a foundry, rather refugees who fled the City when it was attacked or people who didn't live in the City. The Final one, the Graviton Lance is an Exotic Pulse rifle from an unknown foundry since it's lore says it was found by a random Guardian in "Old Chicago" who told his buddy that it shoots black holes. There are a ton of different weapon types: Scout Rifles are semi auto. Auto rifles and SMGs are full auto. Pulse rifles shoot 3 round bursts. Side arms can be full, semi, or burst. Rockets launchers are self explanatory. Grenade Launchers come in 2 main types: multi and single shot, Hand Cannons are semi auto. Shotguns and Snipers. Fusion Rifles are akin to Shotguns but charge up before each shot. Linear Fusion Rifles are the same but are more of a sniper than a shotgun. Trace Rifles are a beam rifle that has a steady continuous beam when fired. Then there are Swords and Glaives. There are a fair few exceptions per weapon type when it comes to exotics as well.

I was today years old when I learned that the circle on the side of Omolon guns is an ammo indicator.
I haven’t gotten that far in Destiny 2 and have less than a dozen hours in it, but that sleek black and purple pulse rifle looks so freaking cool. It makes me want get back into it.
@@_Shay_ That's the Graviton Lance I mentioned. When you get a kill with it, the enemy explodes and has a chance to chain explode other enemies.

These are probably the tamest guns in the entire game. Would love to see their reaction to a grenade launcher that shoots exploding worms!

We need a part 2 where ya'll react to the weapon foundries. They all have theyre own identities and mission motto. Really detailed stuff.
I'd love to see a break down of Jade Rabit (Idk if that's the foundries actual name or not) or even have a specialist come in and break down exos and their lore.
They'd probably love the Hakke stuff, straight up just regular ass weapons

You can tell this is Y1 D2 when there is no real explosion from the second shot compared to the explosions we have now.

It's interesting that they didn't show what it looks like when inspecting it in the inventory first, then shooting the weapon, and the fact that its beta footage. Show them Ager's Scepter or Tommy's Matchbook.

Of all the weapons in this episode the graviton lance is the least grounded in reality.
Why?
It's a burst fire weapon and the second round of each burst ripps apart the fabric of time and space,it literally fires bullet sized black holes!
And it's secondary ability isn't bad either:the black hole bullets make the targets explode and spawn explosive energy projectiles that locks on to nearby enemies.
Why ? Listen, despite being on of the most inspiring theme of all exotic (seriously you shoot blackhole bullets EH HOOO ?!) Because the gun is slow pace that really defined the year 1 of Destiny 2 you know with double primary, slow ability recharge, specials weapons in the heavy slot (the one who had that idea need to stay faaaar away from any project of this game seriously) that's why my man.

You guys need to do a part two with all the different weapon manufacturers in the game as they all have a different and unique identity. Also definitely show them more exotics like the sweet business and such.

Coming from it from a practical perspective, a lot of the Exotics just.. make no sense. And that'd be fun to see reaction to.
In particular, every firearms enthusiast I've ever shown Cerberus+1 to has had a conniption.

As a long time d2 player, I'd suggest checking out the machine guns. I prefer the guns that a more reality based in their design. Scathelock is a great example of such.

you are aware that guns in destiny 2 are technically not even firearms right? most of them are basically magic wands with extra steps, the others are direct energy weapons or magnetic accelerator, hell some of them have a *fucking life of their own*
stop trying to find something grounded in reality in a sci-fi game, especially one that mixes sci-fi and magic, you will NOT find anything like that.

Most of the weapons are still very functional when a guardian doesn’t use them, they’re just not as strong because there’s no light being dumped into it. There’s so many realistic enough weapons in destiny to be plausible, I don’t get how you don’t see that

yeah it screams screw your armor. also it makes enemies shot go boom, so that is a plus.
Would be cool to hear these guys break down stuff alongside 1 additional guy familiar with Destiny stuff who could explain stuff like Omolon's liquid ammo or common tropes on other weapons Bungie designs (Bullpuping almost everything for example).

You guys have to go through the whole exotic list of weapons the guns in this game get crazy! Also gravaton Lance is a void energy weapon it use to shoot a 3 round burst but they changed it to 2 round and the second round does more damage per cycle. When you get a kill with it, that's when the magic happens
I wanna see them react to more basic looking weapons like Hakke guns/the Shadow Price and more ridiculous guns like Parasite/Deathbringer

Fun fact, for the MG4, the orange liquid is actually liquid cooling, also, depending on the element of the weapon, the liquid will change colors, orange for solar, purple for void, and light blue for arc
Glad we got Legendaries in this one, but I'd like to see more of the basic models/foundries like Hakke and specific ones like Shadow Price, No Land Beyond from D1, some Gambit weapons, or even all of the Tex Machina Exotics that look more current day/down to earth like with the Scathelock. Or even really out thereExotics to see how they'd break down how nutty they sometimes get, like with the Wardliff Coil and Cerberus +1.
Also, fun fact, with the Better Devils revolver, the back portion still is the hammer, it just has that entire back plate as the draw-back portion instead of an actual hammer like some of the other weapons have.
The fact this is beta footage shows they kinda just looked for something that was a gun presentation. No harm done or anything, but I think they need to look at footage from today. So many new weapon types, and cool things they missed out on.
I chuckled when they were looking at the copperhead and they said “so were looking at a big caliber.” Little do they know that you don’t even spawn in with enough ammo to get a body shot kill.
I liked your look at Graviton Lance(the last one) and my favorite weapon in the game is the BXR-55 Battler which is based of Halo's Battle Rifle. I think it'd also be cool if you guys looked at Destiny's Trace rifles.
Really hope there is gonna be a part 2 to show off the more newer weapons and maybe some of the exotic weapons.
I'd love to see a part 2 where they react to some of the more interesting looking legendries and some exotics even if they may not be Paul or Israels cup of tea I'd like to see their take on them.

90% of this footage was from the 2016 Beta, very out of date, though it's mostly sound changes. The selection has become a lot more diverse since then, especially since about half the weapons shown were from ONE of the three major weapon producers in the game, not to mention all the custom or alien designed weapons... Would love to see a Part 2 with newer footage.

I love how they were stuck on the color of the black hole gun, and not the fact that it’s a black hole gun lol, still very funny
The thing I like with Destiny’s weapon design that each weapon foundry has a distinct style. Veist is sleek, compact, and suppressed. Omolon is very rounded a fired liquid ammo. Hakké has a very modern military style. And Tex Mechanica is western inspired.

Definitely do a part 2, and I'd suggest trying to do more specifically Legendary and Exotic grade firearms. Most have something that at least *Feels* unique to the gun when used properly, for the Exotics. Plus, some even Legendary weapons have crazy abilities. Like say you get a kill with a grenade launcher with Chain Reaction, it causes the enemies you kill to blow up with the element of the grenade(Yes, there are elements. Fire, electricity, *space* for lack of a better term, and Ice. None have an innate advantage over one another, just situational advantages), which in turn can make more deaths and more explosions. To list a few weapons. "The Huckleberry" and "Dead Man's Tale" are meant to have an old western aesthetic, "Thorn" and "Lumina" are a pair of revolver hand cannons that act in opposition to each other with their abilities, "Hard Light" and "No Time To Explain" are rifles that have a neat separate thing for them, and finally "Izanagi's Burden" and "Whisper of the Worm" are a pair of very odd sniper rifles that feel very satisfying to fire or listen to. Please, if you digest or take any of these in, still obviously keep in mind it's a futuristic universe where both traditional firearms like Deadman's Tale and Huckleberry exist alongside some with more mystic/magic elements like Thorn and Lumina, while Hard Light and No Time to Explain are futuristic in nature with odd perks implemented by scientific progress...

You gotta show them the exotics. Xenophage, Witherhoard, Sweet Business, Outbreak Perfected, Osteo Striga, Telesto, Anarchy, The Lament, Riskrunner, Ager's Scepter and of course Gjallarhorn.
Would love to see your takes on the more futuristic weapons and if they look as believable as the more traditional ones we saw here and if you would have any critiques/changes that you would make to the models to make them more believable.
They should make them inspect the weapons in-game, so they read the information and perks of the guns, especially the exotic tier guns.
Like others noted a part 2 tackling some exotic would be fun, Sweet Business, Cerberus+1, Huckleberry etc.
Shoutout to the dude instantly clarifying that a 20 gauge will drop a human. You'd be surprised how many people think you can't use a slightly smaller shell for home defense.
Honestly, seeing these guys see the amazing Legendary Guns from Borderlands 2, Presequel, and 3 would be so great. PERHAPS even the little advertisements for them. Would be awesome.

If they reviewed fusion rifles out of D2, it would translate to “Operation Metal Storm”
5:50 lore wise, yes, weapons produced by the "Omolon" foundry, use fluid ammunition, which you can see on the weapon model as the little glowing circle (the fluid in the chamber visually reduces as the weapon is fired, and refills on reload). Doesn't make a difference mechanically on most cases (still shoot bullets lol) but very cool world building
The last rifle, Graviton Lance, fires mini black holes at your targets. Great vid, want to see more stuff from the other foundries, especially: Texas Mechanica, Suros, and Hakke

we love you paul and israel!! there is some guns there on destiny 2 more grounded to real designs, mostly the tex mechanic weapons... i would love to see paul's thoughts on the exotics espeacially "the last word" and "dead men's tale".
The practical application of the two lines and the dot in the center is to indicate if there is any angle in the shot you would be taking.
Graviton Lance feels so nice in game, and my favorite weapon in Destiny 2 rn is the Glaive called Enigma
Can't wait till they see the freaky and funky weapons like the sweet business/heir apparent, especially with the actium war rigs. Perhaps even the tractor cannon or the wardcliff coil and the arbalest. Great video, hope to see more!
I feel like reactions to some of the exotic weapons would make for a super interesting vid
So, when dealing with Destiny 2 gun's, Any weapon that has a Colored symbol next to it in the bottom left corner is considered an "energy weapon", usually meaning it shoots with energy projectiles around some sci-fi trope. If it doesn't, it's Kinetic. On another note, Guardian's typically are considered stronger than a normal human, allowing them to basically be a step above when fighting. Aiming, moving, and more is enhanced, allowing them to use gun's that might not be good for regular human's.
The final note is there are Established "weapon Foundries" (Think Colt VS Remington, Although more Specialized thanks to sci-fi tropes) These foundries especially like to do themed weapons, such as Veist basing there weapons on different Snakes, Tex machina being Wild West Themed, or Omolon using "liquid displays" and Power cells to power basically laser weapons. There are quite a few more as well you could dive in ,each with there own methodology and Creeds they follow when making weaponry.
Definitely gotta have a part 2 just to see how much they'd like the designs, especially the LMGs. Sexiest belt feds in the sector
My favourite from these ones are Does not computr and Graviton lance. In these days my favourites are Acrued redemption, Salvager salvo and The Lament.

Another thing he forgot to mention about revolver cylinder closing is that if you swing it closed like that, you can bend the crane, which is... not a good idea.
Dude can you guys have the martial artist react to the fighting styles in the Warriors game made by rockstar. The combat is super good in that game
Most of the weapons in this video are energy weapons, but that does not mean they shoot lasers. There are elements: Solar, Arc and Void. Scathelocke was the only kinetic weapon as far as I can tell.

If they do a part 2 I hope they use some more recent game footage, and get more variety in the weapon foundries they show off, as well as showcasing the exotics. This game has so many cool guns but they didn't show much of that.

the purple pulse rifle is my fav. ps it was the exotic i used all the time in d2. neat thing it reminds me of the G11 minus the top loading.
I'd love to see more of this. Especially involving weapons that aren't that grounded in realism, like Dead Mans Tale and it's suspect reload, or the sentinel Sight scope on Forerunner, or even go over the impractical nature of hip firing a Last Word would be.
Or sweet business the mini gun you put right next to your head and ear, crimson the burst revolver with a bayonet, or even Tommy's matchbook with its burning the user.
Forerunner is based on the halo magnum that does have 2X scope inbuilt as does most UNSC weapons that are linked to soilders and Spartans Heads up displays to allow scoping in without looking into a scope.

It's a bit weird to me that they only really covered a hand full of stuff from year one instead of stuff that's more recent or just more interesting, like more exotics.

Sadly. meanwhile afterwards they bring in ignorant reactors to finally do their review but without Lore suggestions and looking at the Gameplay Perks for them to really consider the power of '[Black Hole]', '[Cosmology]', and it's Exotic catalyst if they view it in a Real Life tryout picture.
Taking a look at the rocket launchers would be neat to see their opinion on some of those along with some of the weapons like xeno and sleeper

The automatic rifle with the side-loaded mag is a Veist weapon, one of the game's foundries. Their submachine guns are actually top-loaded, just like the P90.

I kinda wish they would’ve looked at Sweet Business and The Last Word. Maybe even Dead Man’s Tale. The Tex Mechanica guns specifically seem right up their alley.
Would to see these guys look at some of the exotic weapons, like Crimson, Ace Of Spades, Monte Carlo, Tommy’s Matchbook, and any of other guns.
Yall should show them how the gun looks in the menus too. Also, they're talking about the paint jobs not knowing there's TONS of different shaders. Also, I'm kinda disappointed that they didn't talk about how, with most guns in this game, our character still charges the gun even when there's already a round in the chamber.
Also, the Half-dan D or Herod C would be a good weapon to show them since it's seemingly based off the AR platform.
I'd like to see them react to guns like Monte Carlo, Crimson (and how it would/ could work if at all), Trophy hunter (or other sided loading sniper rifles), Ringing Nail which has a really cool design, Duty bound, Hazard of the Cast/ Breakneck, Drang/ sturm, huckleberry, and Ariana's vow
I'd be cool if they used the star chart at the helm to get previews of each foundry and y' know a few good choice exotics there is also the fact that its funny how all the veist weapons they call heavy duty when they are supposed to be the unorthodox foundry
I'd like to make him react about my fave gun in D2 "blast furnace" , a 4 burst "pulse" rifle.
Players say it has a kick same as other 4 burst rifles in the game due to the 4th bullet, I wonders if there's a physics explanation about that.
Hm... Im not sure about these but I see what your talking like the Graviton Lance, there is a big kick at the 2nd bullets because of the perk
you might have to show them that all the hand canons indeed have hammers that move, althought on mouse and keyboard it's impossible too see, but on controller you can slow triggerpull to see the action move

3:55 Sniper Rifle. Semi auto. Special/Energy weapon. This particular rifle loaded from the side, most others (Ice Breaker), load from the bottom. Also VEIST.
4:48 Sidearm. Semi automatic. Special/Energy weapon. VEIST again.
5:45 Submachine gun. Full auto. Special/Energy weapon.
6:46 Auto Rifle. Full auto. Primary/Kinetic weapon. Run of the mill workhorse. This particular weapon was built from scraps found in the wild.
7:53 Hand Cannon. Semi automatic. Primary/Kinetic weapon.
9:28 Scout Rifle. Semi automatic. Primary/Kinetic weapon. Scouts fire larger (example: 7.62 vs 5.56) rounds, battle rifle.
