No land beyond, definitely. It was the only iron sighted sniper rifle in destiny history, and the rechamber animation was always satisfying after you landed a kill
No Land Beyond was definitely popular because it was arguably one of the worst guns ever added to Destiny. Sure it could 1 tap, but it had a fire rate that was worse than most rocket launchers in D1. People loved NLB because being good with it was a sign of skill. It'll always be special for that reason.
Couldn't it jam aswell? or maybe my game had glitched when I used it. It was also just fun to use being sniper with no scope after all which also contributes to it being loved.
NLB always holds a special place in my heart considering it was my first EVER exotic I received since starting my Destiny journey So if it’s coming back to D2, I’m hoping for a hit of nostalgia whenever I fire it
@@cbgray my honest guess is that it will be changed and be released as the Wrath of the Machine reprised raid exotic, the explosions before will now be siva nanite explosions in some way and you can walk over to those nanites and they will go back in the gun and fill it up without reloading

Zhalo was so cool. As a warlock in taken king, it was fun shooting up a horde of enemies, having enough super for the next horde, then using zhalo for the horde after. Pretty much always had super on those arc strikes

Red Death is coming back even with Crimson existing. So I would say that for a gun as beloved as Zhalo to come back is not only possible, but fairly probable.
Weirdly enough, my favorite was Boolian Gemani. The sound and feel of the weapon was krisp/unique and if they brought it back they could totally combine the two perks into one perk and maybe a catalyst. It would be cool if you could play around with your mobility or resilience with an exotic and maybe more. Second on the list and best exotic was the Zawllo Supercell.
Dreg's promise is such an icononic weapon for me and my D1 homies, its sad to see that it hasnt returned yet. Can only hope/dream it will return one day!
That relic iron grind was painful, and I am glad that it no longer exists. But right now, I just want Bungie to see the rapid fire shotgun fusion with mulligan that I crafted, and understand that I am willing to be the instrument of chaos in order to bring back the first exotic that ever graced my hands, I require Pocket Infinity, and the Weapon Crafting Glitch only cemented my need even more.
Everyone seems to forget that Fabian’s also had overflow. The list mag size was 40 but rapid kills would get you 44-48 on reload and with the increased handling and all that from close proc it was a legit melter.
Considering they said Red Death is returning, I don't think it's necessarily forgotten. I just wonder how they'll bring it back and make it new since we already have Crimson.
Zen Meteor is a Queen reference. The Zen Meteor had the highest Aim Assist in the game. So: It has "Dynamite, with a Laser Beam" and it was more likely too get headshots. "Guaranteed too Blow your mind."

Theres should just be an updated that just reintroduces all these exotics No quests No special secrets Just exotics that are intended in being world drops
People who want Icebreaker and Invective to return are seeing D1 through rose colored glasses in my opinion. Icebreaker was so useful because D1 bosses and minibosses were absurd bullet sponges, ESPECIALLY during Nightfalls. Instead of having ammo finder mods, we had to either use special/ heavy ammo synths and wait for the insane cooldown, or just chip away at a boss for an eternity with icebreaker from a mile away
By the way, I did some testing back in the day on the super good advice. When the perk says almost all shots will be returned to the magazine, it means every shot. Shots that miss get returned from thin air. Shots that hit get refunded from your magazine. You can literally shoot your entire ammo store in one go without reloading. It is my favorite exotic from destiny one for that reason.
A simple rework of Icebreaker would be that while an enemy is scorched, a round is added to the mag from reserves every 4 seconds. Ignitions refill the mag fully And shooting Stasis crystals or frozen enemies causes a huge stasis explosion And for the catalyst, Icebreaker does 10% more damage to slowed or frozen enemies
Bro, week one with the pocket infinity was power I've never felt in a video game again. Walking into a room half charged and aiming at the ground to then spit out 5+ blasts was crazy.
I feel old as hell watching videos of throw backs to D1 stuff. I remember playing the beta for D1 and so many lectures missed my freshman year of college 😂
The biggest issue with Nemesis was the fact it had an insanely low mag size for an LMG on top of having an okay perk. This meant that by the time you got down to your most accurate shots you already had to reload and restart the process
When I first got into Destiny (around the time Forsaken was out) Patience and Time was my first ever Exotic, that thing has a special place in my heart
Iirc razelighter was in D2, Shaxx had it during the invasion of the tower at the original start of the game and then it was never seen again when the red war got chopped
Team dark drinker from the beginning. I remember going into FFA with friends trying to find and kill each other with no sword ammo for the crucibal kills
What I wonder is will ever have class exotics again. In destiny the taken king we got class 1 class exotic and it could be worn with 1 other piece of exotic armor and honestly I wish we had something like that in destiny 2
Yeah the grind for the swords was mad. Having to farm hundreds of planetary materials to get a random special material to drop, and needing different materials for each sword. Plus the rest of the quest, including trying to kill the right knights in the Darkblade strike so you could get the right elemental drops.
You forgot about the buff given to Dragon's Breath that changed its exotic perk. In its final D1 form, it shot similar to lightweight GL's in D2 (manual detonation), and it left a napalm AoE that burned enemies.
The First Curse is honestly the best feeling weapon Bungie has ever created. Twirl Animation, Last Word Model, 100 Aim Assist, OG Quickdraw, Max Stability and best Range with the exotic perk active. It’s not as good as Palindrome or Eyasluna in the current state of the game, but damn if it isn’t the coolest feeling gun to shoot. It doesn’t even need to be meta when it comes back, it just has to feel the same.
Hear me out, Zhalo comes back as a second slot auto rifle that when you’re amplified, jolts enemies and has its RPM go from 720 to 900. No Land Beyond comes back as a primary slot special ammo sniper, now before you burn me at the stake let me tell you about how it’s better: New perks would be Old Reliable, which when you get a precision kill, you gain a damage boost for a few seconds, and the intrinsic would be “Nearing Horizon”, which would give it a concussion round magazine that stuns unstoppable champions and does a small AOE when it hits a solid surface.
God, the Hereafter was such a fun gun to use. Although, you forgot to mention that its scope would zoom in even more if you crouched. Still, all they'd have to do to bring it to D2 would to make it so the blinding explosion happens on precision hits and works against Unstoppables.
One for each slot, *Super Good Advice* (Which is the first exotic we ever saw by the way, in the cut-scene of being a Tower first arrival, so it rightfully should return w the tower) - *Patience and Time/ Hereafter/ Zen Meteor* (I would be fine w any of the three, Hereafter was the first I got in Taken King, loved it) - *Universal Remote* (Was my first House of Wolves exotic and I thoroughly loved using it in PoE and PvP alike.
Universal remote would be absolutely busted in PVP with this, but you could still bring back the remote and No Land Beyond by making them take primary ammo.
I must not have played enough D1 because yall have this fond memory of the game being so good but I remember having nothing to do for a year after each expansion
Bro seeing the no land beyond again feels so nostalgic I still have a clip of me bodying a full team with it on my warlock back in the day when blink was busteeeedddd😮💨😮💨😮💨
my honest guess for Ice Breaker is that it will be changed and be released as the Wrath of the Machine reprised raid exotic, the explosions before will now be siva nanite explosions in some way and you can walk over to those nanites and they will go back in the gun and fill it up without reloading
Been desperate for Plan C since D2 dropped. Nothing compares. Anyone who actually used it knows. When activated there was ZERO charge time. Instant fusion rifle spray. In D2, even if you have a rapid fire fusion rifle with backup plan and shot swap and use armor perks, you still need to charge your shot. There is no question that Plan C would absolutely slay in D2.
I miss when you weren’t expecting Exotics. Now you’re guaranteed at least one in the battle pass, one after maxing out your rank (per playlist vendor), and sometimes just one for the sake of it. They don’t feel exotic
On the one hand, absolutely, but on the other hand, the game just isn't in a place where I think that can work. Back then players knew a whole lot less about the game, and were generally doing way less buildcrafting, so it was easier to have truly rare exotics, but nowadays it's just played differently. especially considering just how rare exotics were in the very beginning, can you imagine trying to build loadouts but the seasonal meta is from a random drop exotic with atrocious chances to get? I mean, it's kinda suffering from success, people know enough the game and how to play it well that making anything too hard to unlock (or at least directly grind) is likely to cause problems. Hell, think about how much people grind for exotic armor stat rolls - the game's just at a point of optimization where people want all the tools in the box to make their own build out of, rather than a few rarer tools to use on their own. That said, I do feel 100% apathetic towards exotic engrams, but that's mostly because none of the new exotics are in them.
@@sebastianturner2458 I hear your points and I think it's well thought out! With that being said me personally can't speak for everyone, I am fine having a reality where most people can't get certain things because of rarity even if it means I get the short end of the stick. Makes me excited!
This video reminded me of my vanilla destiny experience, i loved it. I remember my first nightfall, i only had the icebreaker and last word as exotics so i used the sniper, primary and heavy weapon were totally casual and the armor was too.. it took like 3 hours to complete. And i remember the blue coins farm for xur, my first vault of glass and the time i dropped gjallarhorn.. i was only 15 and i miss so bad those days. Today still on D2, but i cant stay ahead with all my characters and i have barely time to play all the activities...
Honestly, at this point, pocket infinity just wouldn’t fit because it’d be too similar to merciless. A pocket infinity themed warmind ornament for merciless would be pretty cool though.
i remember doing the grind for the swords, trying to look up the best possible relic iron farm and doing that over and over again/ it seems in destiny 2 we don't really have exotics that have this type of grind anymore. i miss it for sure
I'd really like to see the Titan exclusive auto rifle come back either as a legendary with a unique perk set or origin trait or as an exotic that creates void overshields when you ADS, then maybe have a catalyst that makes it share those Overshields.
dude i grinded out all 3 of those goddam swords as soon as i was able to and holy crap the pain from that grind was on par with the pain i felt for no getting the gjallarhorn from Xur during the first weeks of destiny. if you know what im taking about your a true OG too
The way we got Mantle of Battle harmony being a revision of Tlaloc, I wish we could get an exotic for titans that allow for a mini sheild in front of you while aiming akin to Fabian Stratagy.
Remember that they reworked Dragons Breathe in D1 from solar grenade to the napalm. And yes i remember the sword grind 😢 i picked Dark Drinker on my Titan so void ability kills were horrible to get

God, the Hereafter was such a fun gun to use. Although, you forgot to mention that its scope would zoom in even more if you crouched.
Still, all they'd have to do to bring it to D2 would to make it so the blinding explosion happens on precision hits and works against Unstoppables.
Man i want young wolfs howl back so badly man, i know it wasnt anything special but in lore terms its was so cool man.
He did it, he talked about Zhalo... Cmon man, there's not one day that I open Destiny to play with my Arc build Warlock and doesn't miss this exotic
I would be very happy as a titan to have back my Twilight Garrison :")
I must not have played enough D1 because yall have this fond memory of the game being so good but I remember having nothing to do for a year after each expansion
What I love a lot about the no land beyond was for a lot of its life, it was so unbelievably ass, then, it became crazy
The ice breaker, invective and pocket infinity will never come back.
They actually did technically bring back class specific exotics with the glaives they made for each class.
The most annoying thing about the swords is needing 3 characters all up to light in order to get all 3, not even considering the 52 fragments
invective was 1 of the only guns that regenned ammo in PVP literally never had to worry about ammo in pvp
It was very good I agree!
Bro seeing the no land beyond again feels so nostalgic I still have a clip of me bodying a full team with it on my warlock back in the day when blink was busteeeedddd😮💨😮💨😮💨
My favourite exotic has returned, the gjallarhorn. But I preferred the look of iron gjallarhorn, it would be cool to come back as a ornament maybe
Anguish of drystan, atheon’s epilogue, and Praedith’s timepiece are weapons I miss so much
The 3 exotic swords in D1 are the founding fathers of swords for D2
my honest guess for Ice Breaker is that it will be changed and be released as the Wrath of the Machine reprised raid exotic, the explosions before will now be siva nanite explosions in some way and you can walk over to those nanites and they will go back in the gun and fill it up without reloading
I've never skipped a sponsor so fast and accurately before
Grateful to them for the support!
First Exotic: Pocket Infinity, never coming back
Favorite Exotic: Super Good Advice, maybe but probably never lmao
Your first was Pocket Infinity? That's wild! Lol
I miss the rarity as well definitely agree!
I miss the Hereafter sniper rifle, that shooting sound it made was cool
I think it could fit with a rework but I agree! Also an ornament would be dope!
i remember doing the grind for the swords, trying to look up the best possible relic iron farm and doing that over and over again/ it seems in destiny 2 we don't really have exotics that have this type of grind anymore. i miss it for sure
The Universal Remote was one of the few exotics I had back in Destiny 1, I honestly wish it got added back into D2
Dregs Promise will always have a place in my heart.
I'd really like to see the Titan exclusive auto rifle come back either as a legendary with a unique perk set or origin trait or as an exotic that creates void overshields when you ADS, then maybe have a catalyst that makes it share those Overshields.
Fun fact raze lighter has been seen in d2, you could see it on Shaxx's back at the start of the red war
Risk runner has nothing on my glorious zhalo😤
Fighting Lion is like D2’s version of Universal Remote, and it’s a shame Universal Remote hasn’t come to D2.
dude i grinded out all 3 of those goddam swords as soon as i was able to and holy crap the pain from that grind was on par with the pain i felt for no getting the gjallarhorn from Xur during the first weeks of destiny. if you know what im taking about your a true OG too
We do have class exotics, but they’re the Glaives so I’m not surprised if you forgot they exist
And yes i remember the sword grind 😢 i picked Dark Drinker on my Titan so void ability kills were horrible to get
Yup I remember! Dark drinker was a grind haha
Boi that grind for the swords was vicious
