It satisfies me a lot to see two grown old men, who obviously overcame their differences and made peace with each and every quarrel they had in their past. That's simply beautiful. A true friendship .
I am blown away by this. Many musicians can no longer hit the high notes as they age, these guys did it perfectly just like they used to. Very very good. Love their music.
When artist, voice, music, melody, and text fit all together, then it feels like heaven. May sister devil who talked all her life about following Jesus and therefore never cared for mum and finally killed mum for the money, burn in hell forever.
He knows he's a good singer, yet so humble about it , appreciative of the fans and thanks God for his special gift. What more could you ask for!! @@leonigolding9480
We all know what song is coming as soon as Paul starts to play but his passion in the playing of that intro and the smiles that they shared after all of these years is just freaking priceless!!
These two men can make magic together with their voices. They have gotten better with age refining their incredible vocal talents together. They will go down in history as one of the most successful duo's of all time. Incredible....
I remember this one comment and believe it should be on every video on UA-cam that contains this memorable performance of Bridge Over Troubled Water. In the end Paul stands back for Art's grande finale. At the end you see him clapping, being amazed after 40 years that his partner in crime was still able to reach those notes. How about that, 40 years after a close partnership, Art is still able to amaze Paul. Best duo ever. Period.
This video came on autoplay while i was smoking at a friend's house. I was gobsmacked. I couldn't believe what i was hearing. Unbelievable performance, and garfunkel's singing closing out the end of the song, just unreal. Such powerful music. When it finished I was stunned, my jaw was dropped for a minute straight. Blew me away.
Their voices are not young anymore but in some way it makes this song even more haunting. It goes to prove that most memorable singing is not just hitting every note perfect but to stir up your soul; to the point of shedding tears.
Better than before. I started crying. Those songs are so beautiful. They were my dad's ultimate favorites. I wish he could have been here to watch this. JUST WOW!
These two men are some ofy favorite singers and songwriters in history, and truly they define how music is multi generational. My mom saw them in NY around 69-70, I was born in 73, and my daughter who loves them was born in 03... Not many duos on history with that kind of traction. Brilliance is ageless, and timeless. I hope someday my grandkids hear their music and have the same reaction. TY Guys!
It looks as if they have finally realized their music is much bigger, and much, much more important than their own feelings. Heaven only knows how much more beautiful music they could have given to the world, had they just been able to get along! They are two of the most gifted and talented musicians/songwriters, to have ever graced this earth!!
This show happen on my truck . It was an amazing moment in what was not. It snowed about 3ft in the city that day and everything was a strech. Was glad though to be part of it.
I think Paul Simon was spot on when he said the difference between music now and then is that todays music now focuses more on the performance / show aspect whereas back then music was more about the songwriting lyrics.
I just listened to a 7-minute version of Crazy Train live, and then went straight to this video and all thoughts of anything heavier blew out of my head. Simon and Garfunkel will always be masters of music and poetry, dead or alive. There is not a single person alive who could see this and say that these guys aren't talented, and that can be said for virtually no other group. They are truly immortal, gods not of a single genre, but simply of all music.
as growing up in the late 60s early 70s I must admit I was. a Simon & Garfunkel fan but now that I am older a lot I have come to appreciate their music .
Just friggin awesome. I have no doubt heard Sound of Silence at minimum 200 times in my life and it is impossible to hear too many times. Masterpiece fhat transcends generation.
I'm 16 years old and feel so blessed that these two singers were a part of my childhood. Mrs.Robinson was my lullaby and I saw Paul Simon in a concert a year ago and I was blown away with how intimate he is with his music.
After all these years I still love them so much! THX for the awesome thrills, their voices give me goosebumps and drive me to tears, they're such great musicians and vocalists. Forever young! PEACE :)
True legends right here, folks. They were and continue to be one of the most compelling bands in history. In my opinion, Garfunkel was getting some help (via AutoTune or something similar), but that absolutely does not take away from their talent.
danbgt I like even older stuff....Gene Kelly, Judy Garland, and Dean Martin. All the epitome of talent. Famous for a reason. "Celebrities" these days are famous for nothing more than acting ridiculous on a TV show.
And this is what REAL Music SHOULD sound like! I saw them live at the Akron Rubberbowl and again at The Gund. There will never be another duo like them, and I hope they will tour again SOON! :-)
I think that, when Simon started singing the beginning of "Bridge over Troubled Water" I felt the same.. It's almost like, although his voice isn't as clear, it has a "wiseness" from all the life he's lived.. It's like he really can put his experience into it now..

Their music is like a time machine. I am transported in time and my soul is tickled by the strumming of Paul's guitar and the sweet melodies they sing. i am in awe of their talent and their ability to reach the deepest part of me and make me thankful that I am alive and hearing their music.
These guys were close to 70 years old in this performance........That is what makes it truly amazing................Love how Paul was clapping at the end and looking at his friend and brother and very proud....In the end, they are the best of friends......Through thick and thin....
Isn't it obvious why they voted it down? It's real music - since they've never heard it before, they have nothing to compare it to. I've been listening to them since they started in the '60's when I was kid; both "Sound of Silence" and "Bridge Over Troubled Water" are 2 of the most haunting and enduring tunes of all time. No matter how many times I hear them, they never get old.
I saw Simon & Garfunkel my Freshman year in college for Homecoming in Madison Wisconsin in October 1968. As fabulous as that show was, this is an incredible experience for me to listen in awe to the talent that both of these men still possess and share with the world. "See how they shine."
Brilliant Performance ... and certainly NO autotune required !!!! ... I admire the way Paul stepped back toward the end to let Art finish "Bridge Over Troubled Water"... Two, genuine but humble STARS .... in every sense of the word xx
Nobody like them thank you for all the years I had the opportunity to enjoy all the songs reminds me of different times of my life
These two are amazing. I wish I could have seen them live years ago.
Most of the songs that Paul Simon wrote have the highest quality in terms of lyrics and musically Simon & Garfunkel will be forever in our hearts .
It satisfies me a lot to see two grown old men, who obviously overcame their differences and made peace with each and every quarrel they had in their past. That's simply beautiful. A true friendship .
Here's the problem. Art had one of the greatest voices on the planet. Paul could never deal with that.
@@Bearlover722 Totall unrelated, but I think that was always Noel's problem with Liam from Oasis for that matter.
This song is like wine. The older it gets better it becomes.
I am blown away by this. Many musicians can no longer hit the high notes as they age, these guys did it perfectly just like they used to. Very very good. Love their music.
What makes them so fantastic, is the fact that they sound just as good live as they do in the studio. Much unlike...90%....of today's "musicians".
Verdade!❤
My favorites! Love their music together!
My heart is happy and at peace. Thank you Simon and Garfunkel for all you have done for all of us.
Art ways bowes when the audience applauds them.
Merci. Musique

inspiring and lots of fun!many years pass, but you remain eternal-many thanks!!!!!
Simon sounds heavenly in the bridge over troubled waters and the piano sounds superb .-.
But Garfunkel is the best *^*
We all know what song is coming as soon as Paul starts to play but his passion in the playing of that intro and the smiles that they shared after all of these years is just freaking priceless!!

I got the same feeling watching this that I did the first time I heard "Sound of Silence". Incredible how good these two still sound!
Love all of their songs, but The Sound of silence is my favorite!
Garfunkel may not have written the songs but his voice gives a sparkle to their sound. Powerful stuff...

Art Garfunkel still has that sweet tone in his voice! Their songs will live forever !
Watching this made me weak and emotional. I was born in 1969 and grew up with them on the record player. They are part of my soul.
Minha adolescência no Brasil, escutando Simon and Garfunkel! É lindo! É atemporal!
Amor nunca sai da moda!
Verdade ❤
The absolute soundtracks of my Youth!!!! OMG they still have their beautiful voices even at this age. Timeless Legends
Better than before. I started crying. Those songs are so beautiful. They were my dad's ultimate favorites. I wish he could have been here to watch this. JUST WOW!
Thank you for the best music ever, S&G
.......and THAT piano player on Bridge Over Trouble Water. What a collection of fabulous musicians gathered in one place.
i feel chills whenever i hear the magnificent voice of this duo. simply the best.very awesome!!!
Awesome to watch 2 old friends reunite to give us music that makes us all splash into the Fountain Of Youth!
Really this MSG concert is one of these best of all time from anybody ever

TY Guys!
Still as beautiful today as it was originally. I'm only 49, but I will hold them dear always.
You can't be "just 49", that's middle aged and in a year or so, you'll be an elder.
SSketchii lol really dude?

you go Art!! he pulled some of those high notes from place he didn't know he had anymore! Wow, what courage!
Holy shit I can barely hold my tears....this is so beautiful!!!!
This performance was truely moving, amazing talent!
Art Garfunkel's voice is magic (Live)
Tutto quell'album è stato un capolavoro
as growing up in the late 60s early 70s I must admit I was. a Simon & Garfunkel fan but now that I am older a lot I have come to appreciate their music .
A favourite of mine for many decades. I love the story behind "Sounds of Silence"
It's a shame I'm born too late. I'd love to have seen them back then. They're the best
I LOVE THESE GUYS. Great Harmony even in older age.

the most beautiful performance they've ever done that I know of ❤
Absolutely beautiful ❤️❤️. These duets are like something you've never heard before.
You seem quite intelligent and have a mature perspective of life. Hope you don’t mind me saying?
best arrangement ive ever heard of this song! love it!!!
Omg this is so incredible ! Two real singers together, friends forever !
I'm 34 and I've never wished I had a time machine more.
+TMIwithJazz I am 64. I miss that time period more than anything. Especially the music!!
you and me both my friend...I'm 33 and I feel like I'm in the wrong time period.
+chanellergful It does my heart good when I hear people 30 years younger than I say they like the "old" music!!
danbgt I like even older stuff....Gene Kelly, Judy Garland, and Dean Martin. All the epitome of talent. Famous for a reason. "Celebrities" these days are famous for nothing more than acting ridiculous on a TV show.
I'm 23, and I wish I had a time machine also. I love simon and Garfunkel, and Simon's solo work.
Inolvidable voces !!! Muy lindos temas!!! Pasarán los años y serán maravillosos estos dos hermanos tan bellos!!! 👏👏👏👏👍❤️❤️❤️
Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, New York City, Simon & Garfunkel and three classics sung beautifuly....What a moment in time. Great video, TY.
Surreal to see them in person....Just a real treat...The best!
My favorite song. I want this played at my funeral!
It makes me so sad , knowing we won't see artists like this for at least the next 50 years.
Dear Simon and Garfunkel, Thank you!!!!!
Art is amaizing in this song just as well as "Sound of Silence"
I still get goosebumps when I watch this!! Unbelievable!!
TouchDown. They still got it, oh man, you guys rock, love it
They are truly flawless, then again this is what they do... amazing thumbs up if this deserves more then 45,000 views
So long ago i heard them n so much has happened but these song remains still so classic ❤
Art Garfunkel is the man. To retain that vocal range for nearly fifty years is incredible. I defy todays artists to be able to sing like him at 70.
Beautiful performance!
And this is what REAL Music SHOULD sound like! I saw them live at the Akron Rubberbowl and again at The Gund. There will never be another duo like them, and I hope they will tour again SOON! :-)
much, much better than the old days. Pure love and devotion
I may be one of the few that believes this, but I think they're even better now than they were in the past!
+Altair Stark I agree!!!

I love this song so much hearing it again they just prove they own this music with their voices streaming . . .

The best, the best, the best. Awesome and always strikes the emotion strings everytime. Just brilliant . Keep singing guys
Pena que eles não cantam mais juntos este video é imprecionante maravilhoso idescritivel impar felizes aqueles que assistiram ao vivo,

Garfunkel has always been my favorite of the bunch. I think the Graduate my just be the best soundtracked movie out there. Thumbs up is you agree.
La mejor canción escrita e interpretada de todos los tiempos.
Impresionante.
Truly amazing, they smashed it even after all these years.
Two of the best songs EVER made!
Amo esta música lindíssima me leva ao inimaginável.
maravilhoso. lindos. sou grata por ter vivido e conhecido esta maravilha de dupla. Art vc ainda é uma coisinha fofa.

how I admire you having been able to see them :)
So great to see these two together again. Money is truly the root of all evil. I hate when bands split up.
*Все меняется со временем. Единственное, что не меняется, это музыка, которую мы слушаем. Эта песня никогда не устареет...*
I've never heard a better song like this - great - even at this age

May the God bless You and your music!!!
I couldn't even imagine getting to be one of the lucky people getting to be on stage with them.
These guys are legends! As good as ever with barely 70 years. Though Mr. Garfunkel seems a bit more alive ;)
Perfect!! ♥️❤️😍😍🎵🎼👏👏👏👏👏
Guys, just listen to these wonderful songs! With or without autotune?...who cares!
This is one of a kind!
This song is best of the world
greatest artists and greatest songs ever. I can listen forever !
The Best, I love it.
This is such a beautiful music and it uplifts me everytime listening to both. Hope they will reunite once again.
