So had we still been in the EU the UK's legal power to prevent English clubs joining the Superleague would have been limited. Without those English clubs participation, the ESL was a non starter. Brexit prevented the ESL.

Their in decline since at least 2014 - with a exceptional second place in the season 17/18 that can safely be considered an unfortunate accident. Now that those clubs have been shown to be in a far weaker position than they thought, UEFA should bring in "Project Level Playing Field" and revert the European competitions back to knock out tournaments, with 2 legs in each round, except for the finals, no parachuting of eliminated clubs from one competition to the other, countries only getting extra places in these tournaments based strictly on their leagues 5 year coefficient, have as many teams as possible starting the competitions at the same stage and, if there is to be seeding, clubs being seeded purely on recent performances, not because of who they are! It's too much to hope this will happen unfortunately, but now that the greedy bastardes who tried to break away know that it would be likely to fail if they did so again, UEFA should go on the offensive and try and have as level a playing field for everyone!

In the last few years, UEFA has returned 90% of its revenues in support of local clubs and national leagues. This information is not sufficiently known. In the Super League, all profits would only flow between the founding fund and a few clubs.
in super league, players would be fu..., because the clubs will apply salary caps, and the players doesnt have bargaining power to negotiate their salaries. And because no relegations, the club dont give a damn about winning. They can lose all season and still get the money.
