The only way to close the gap is to increase revenue, the more adqusition power a team has the less likely a player will leave the team for bayern or go abroad. You can't limit bayern because if you do you kill the league
Schalke dropping to Bundesliga-2 might be a good chance for Bayern to get their players cheaper too. Like Harit, Fahrmann, or Mascarell for backup players. Kerim Calhanoglu could also be a target for Bayern.
It’s a shame because the Bundesliga 2nd place down is one of the most exciting leagues in Europe, just let down by the predictability of who’s going to win it every year.
As well the 3. Liga. Last season, they got 7-10 candidates to win it before Bayern II won it in the end. Well, it couldn't be helped since they got less motivated after the supporters not allowed to enter the stadium.
@@Mjwara Exactly. I mean the same could be said of the Ligue 1 pre-Lyon and pre-PSG dominance. Sure it had a moment of monopoly by a corrupt Marseille in the early 90s, but man look at the madness that followed in the mid-90s, after Marseille was stricken of their title, PSG won their second, Nantes their 7th, then Auxerre their first, then Monaco their 6th, then Lens their first, then Bordeaux, Monaco, Nantes, then Lyon came, and after Lyon, Bordeaux, Marseille, Lille and Montpeillier won. I mean that's a crazy run of competitivity, with clubs like Metz having a solid 90s at the top too, amongst others. And they were able to be decent enough in Europe at the time. I really like the Bundesliga and mildly enjoy the Ligue 1 and wish it had more respect of the other fans because they have good models on how to run a league overall.
@@yoorie19 To be fair, that was only one season in 3. Liga. In fact, this season Bayern II are in serious danger of relegation, while Dortmund II are almost certainly going to get promoted to 3. Liga, meaning we could get a case where the Dortmund reserves will be ranked higher than the Bayern reserves. Which I think just reflects Dortmund's incredible eye for young talent. Already, they've got a host of talented teenagers ready to take up the mantle (Bellingham, Reyna, Knauf, Moukoko, etc). And they deserve credit for the way they went from edge of ruin in the mid 2000s to debt free just a decade later. They've also been doing a better job at keeping their talent longer than expected in recent seasons (everyone thought Sancho would be gone two seasons ago) and they've actually been scoping up more rival Bundesliga talent recently than Bayern have. Unfortunately, a combination of the pandemic and coaching issues has seriously derailed their build towards being legitimate Bayern challengers. I really hope they can qualify for Champions League, otherwise they will almost certainly be seeing a mass exodus that they've managed to avoid the past couple seasons (and also neither Wolfsburg nor Frankfurt really have the depth to compete in the CL the way Dortmund can).
@@RenegadeShepard69 ligue 1 had times, where the title race was just crazy. But it also shows, that when a world class team exists in the league (lyon mid 2000s, current psg), the level of the whole league is just lower than in the top 4 leagues
@@tdtony9358 No? In the Bundesliga basically just one club signs all the top talent. Sometimes it goes through RB Leipzig or Borussia but many of those also end up at Bayern. At least there's some more teams who buy up the talent in the prem
It’s a shame too because Bundesliga minus Bayern is actually really competitive. To Bayern’s credit, they are simply a well run club, and not financially steroid injected like PSG or Man City. Still, clubs like Dortmund and Leipzig need to BRING IT consistently.
Man city is not "financially steroid injected"-you are trying to imply cheating without stating which laws they are breaking. Bayern gets taxpayer support which is banned in England so from our perspective Bayern has an unfair advantage. The EPL tv deal shares the money more eqitably than the Bundesliga tv deal so the EPL is more competitive even though not all EPL clubs have wealthy owners.
Why do we not consider the negative feedback loop of tv revenue "steroids". Football is now a popularity contest but everyone bags on PSG because it's easy to dump on Middle-Easter countries but less so the mega-corporations, broadcasters, etc that keep the other clubs rich who are supposedly "doing it the right way." The cognitive dissonance is palpable.
The issue is that in reality they are in about thesame location as Schalke and Dortmund, which just isn't possible to replicate if you want to make a clear graphic. That's also why Schalke is close to correct, but Dortmund has moved to Osnabruck. Of course, they could've put Leverkusen to the south of them, as that's where it is relative to these clubs, but they'd still be unable to place 2 of these 3 in the correct position.

Don’t forget the 1996-2000 Netherlands team that were made of Ajax graduates. Its more success to have national teams made up of players from the same club due to cohesion
As a new football fan this is what I found a little weird. In other leagues like NBA, NFL, NHL, and MLB I’m used to every team having at least one player that could be considered Top 10 or 5 at their position due to draft and salary cap which incentivizes losing in a sense but it’s main purpose is to stop teams from hording talent due to having more money or history. Players can still leave in free agency but usually when players first start out they have to go to specific teams. When I started watching Football I noticed that all of the best players at each position for some leagues were all on the top 4-8 teams.
@Maximiliano Guerra Calderon I agree, I think they work for their respective sports. Especially considering Football’s size and number of No.1 Leagues draft wouldn’t possibly work, and hard salary caps might but the bigger clubs would never agree to that. Overall I enjoy each of the main 4 US sports and International Football how they are. Whenever these teams make it hard for us in the league, Bayern becomes harder even in the UCL. 2001,2010 all through 2013 and even 2020 until we got Flick because Leipzig and a resurging Monchengladbach came knocking, Bayern have always thrived on a harder league to become maniacs in the UCL. But the sad truth is that with the current state of things Bayern will keep running away again....
I would really embrace more competition in the Bundesliga. Regardless, this shouldn't discredit Bayern's consistency against their fellow Bundesliga clubs
There are only two ways to stop Bayern's dominance. Investors are allowed to take over clubs in Germany. So the end of 50+1. Or all of the top European leagues have a 50+1 model, so Bundesliga teams wouldn't be raided anymore by financially doped billionare or state fund clubs.

The problem for other clubs is not necessarily that Bayern buys all of their players, but that Bayern is the only club in Germany that can retain its talent. If Bayern doesn't poach their brightest stars, some English or Spanish team will. Thus, other teams in Germany have to reinvent themselves every other year, whereas Bayern can hold on to those that really do flourish in its culture, like Neuer, Mueller, Lewandowski, Robben or Ribery. In other clubs, those players would have 2 good years, and then leave, or play another year and leave on a free. Look at Werner and Havertz, who have already left their clubs, or Haaland and Sancho (and Bellingham) who will do the same this summer, or the next. If they played at Bayern, there's no need to sell, and salaries are competitive enough, so other top clubs can't easily poach.

Premier League's big four (Utd, City, LFC, CFC) and La Liga's Clasico did indeed exercise the same thing Bayern did to Bundesliga's clubs, poaching their playets. However, you can't really compare between a single entity monopolizing their local talent market against multiple entity fighting each other for the local talent market. Dortmund had a chance with Klopp, they were actually ambitious and wanted to win titles They didn't want to sell Lewandowski, and u could see that in klopp's interview before lewa left. I have always had a sore spot when it comes to lewa, gotze and Hummels, those 3 along with Reus could have won many titles and trophies, but they threw it for the easier route Since then even Dortmund have given up on title races. They have now become a feeder club, a place for youngsters to improve only for them to leave They need 11 Reus like players who r ready to dedicate themselves, but practicality that's impossible, not r they willing to go out of their way to convince players to stay And with the potential loss of nagelsmann, Leipzig r also gonna have a hard time playing catch up with Bayern.

Being From Germany & a Munich Guy , I know . It's been happening since a long time but I cannot Blame no one. You see some teams in countries wants to be small , they make their players so that other teams can buy them. Even the players play with such Nature that they'll be in a big team soon once their name gets into News. Look at Halaand for example , after Giants started to Mutter his name ? Dude started to sideline Dortmund & doesn't play the way he should & shows disappointment all the time. This is with Most German clubs & the players . Clubs make a team in s short span , pick out names & planning starts on whom they wanna make the next big thing. I always say - Bayern is a Team of Men that Competes with Dortmund ( A Team of just turned Adults ) & Dortmund Competes with Other Teams filled with New players every season. That's Bundesliga has become but lemme tell you one thing . If you take ou Bayern & you watch other teams plays ? You'll surely like Bundesliga a lot .
The last point of yours is bullseye. Bundesliga actually has more stories beside the title race like the rise of Union, the fall of HSV and S04. Even the relegation battle is always entertaining every season (which Mainz always somehow find their way to survive). With the gigantic nature and presence of Bayern in the domestic makes every lose of theirs feel very ecstactic. Just take a look again at their lose to Kiel.
The TV rights in La Liga is much worse. Top 3 get more than 150m while the new bies get mere 30. And while they are according to the sporting merit in Bundesliga, that isn't the case in Spain.
Dortmund and Leipzig aren't forced to sell their players but by putting sell clauses in their players' contracts they are at fault. Also the rich PL clubs who regularly raid the Bundesliga are at fault too. This video blames it too much on Bayern who are just a great and well run club since many decades
The reason they sell their players is because the league is set up for Bayern- the EPL clubs are not "raiding" they are buying from clubs who are artificially weak because of the greedy mentality of the Bayernliga.

This is why I'll always have respect for virtually any other team in Germany, and always despise Bayern (in terms of how the club is run, not the players). What's the point of a league if one club is so well set up to succeed at the detriment of the others? It defeats the whole point of a professional competitive league.
@@716_ハディくん 🤣🤣🤣🤣 Yeah, cos where 2 clubs have won 15 out of the last 17 is "entertaining" 🤦♂️🤦♂️ That sort of explains why the Premier League has been so successful over its counterparts- because even with moneybags owners coming in there have been 6 clubs who have won it in the last 17 years.
Bayern does Buy a lot of Players of other Clubs, but Dortmund does it as well. An the bigger problem are leagues like the premier league, because of them the prises and payments continue to rise and Players want to leave the bundesliga.
Somewhat correct, but it misses some points. Mainly TV Money split and Champions League earnings. In the PL, the split between the 1st and the last is 1,6:1 For every € the last one gets from the TV deal, the champions get 1,6€. In Germany, the Champions get 10% more than the second and unbelievable 400% more than the Last one. Split is 1:3,8 Whenever there's a discussion coming up in changing that, guess who's making noise opposing that. Yes, it's the top-earners. Also, Bayern had a huge advantage in the earlier years, as they were basically given a huge stadium by the state of Bayern and could make much more money in tickets than every other club. They already had a head-start when it came to the 2002 reform. When the CL started, they already were way ahead of the rest of the league, which cemented their CL spot. By being the only german side to regularly competing in the CL, it is also the only german club making 15 Mio. a year just for being in the CL. Every year. Now, they outearn everyone else, because they already outearned everyone else when the CL started. It's a rigged game and Bayern plays it best. Obviously, you also need top managers to get to that point and unfortunately, they had the best. You can hate Hoeneß all you want and he probably deserves it, but he's one hell of a manager.
I love watching Bayern as a fan since 2003. You need to understand to what high standard we are held. Basically whenever Bayern drops points 2 matches in a row, the press calls for a crisis. 2011/12 people laughed at us for finishing second in all 3 competitions. Every year before the season starts, fans from other clubs mock us that this year the team is old, fragile, slow, not elite anymore. There is a desire to compete at the top of the UCL (what lead to 4 finals and 2 wins in my time a s a fan), doing it better than the other Bundesliga clubs who haven‘t won anything in Europe since 1997.
The Premier League is unique. Even if you have the same winner or winners for a couple of years, there is no guaranteed winner, and 3rd to 7th in the table is in constant flux. Equally dividing TV money is key to that.
@@kingkong9410 and who is we??As far as i knoe fans literally block training grounds and protest infront of their stadiums hoping those owners leave, and same ones want 50+1 rule from Bundesliga in England lol
If we had an attractive and competitive Superleague with teams like Dortumd and Bayern, Dortmund would make enough money to retain Haaland, Pulisic and great players while even signing some new stars. Therefore making the league much more competitive, this league would then be more watchable and its TV rights would be much more expensive, TV rights that would make smaller clubs earn much more, making them more competitive and ultimately having a league with more than two contenders
This is the easy thing to say about Bayern - that they just buy up all the promising players in the Bundesliga, but that''s not entirely true. Dortmund has followed a similar strategy - Schulz from Hoffenheim, Hazard from Mönchengladbach, Brandt from Leverkusen, Hitz and Diallo from Mainz et cetera. Also, the latest two Bundesliga talents were bought by Chelsea, not Bayern. So the idea that Bayern 'owns' the Bundesliga is untrue, although it's always good 'joke fodder' for rival fans.
I just wish other teams should step up especially Dortmund who would have sealed the Bundesliga in 2016 and 2020if they didn't bottle up.But on the bright side even though people hate RB Leipzig, I think they are one the main contenders to break Bayern's dominance.
So to fix that problem, you are going to add a league with only the said clubs that are dominating their domestic leagues that they can't get relegated from and give them upwards of 300 million a year. Yea that would for sure fix the competitive balance in football.
Also why do you say only 4 teams have won the Bundesliga since 2000? Only 6 have won the prem since 2000 and thats supposed to be the most competitive league, I won't even mention La Liga or Serie A the sitation there is pretty clear
Bayern won 15 titles. Dortmund won 3 and the others 1 each. That's lop-sided with 75% going to Bayern. The Prem title has been shared around more. Bayern about to win 10 in row. No team has ever won the English league more than 3 in a row. Even when Liverpool and Man Utd were dominant there were challengers who took the title.
@LPS: Maybe you should go watching actual football matches instead of watching highlight videos and reading wikipedia pages? You cannot compare Bayern dominance of Bundesliga to Premier League. Even when Man Utd won the league three times in a row, there were heavy competitions and Chelsea players didn't suddenly want to change club to Man Utd.
Compare the populations of England versus Germany: proportionately the EPL is much more competitive than Germany. Also 6 is 50% more than 4 which in 20 years is a big difference.
2:29 odd it is mentioned the closest rivals to Bayern in the previous Money List segment but then show the difference between Bayern and a newly promoted side in regards to broadcasting payments
The fact they have by far the most money in Bundesliga obviously increases the chance of winning it in the end. But still there have been enough opportunities for contenders in the last 9 years to at least break the streak
Money always wins out..because really all the other top clubs are selling clubs.that never keep a plaayer that is in their prime..only deceloping youngsters and older veterans

Many of the so-called "farmers leagues" have fantastic players and teams, they're just overshadowed by the most dominant team(s).

Man city is not "financially steroid injected"-you are trying to imply cheating without stating which laws they are breaking.

I agree, I think they work for their respective sports.
Little wonder the world admires Bayern and a few Dortmund players but tends to prefer watching other leagues, especially English.

Rich PL clubs help those team by paying large transfer fees, that's what creates the balance. Bayern doesn't do that which creates a huge gap.

Lmao at all the people saying Bayern only buy from rival teams yet in their current squad only Lewa(free), Kimmich (cheap), Goretzka(free) and Neuer are from other Bundesliga clubs, yet no one says anything when Dortmund does it, with Schulz, Dahoud,Brandt, Hazard and most importantly Reus being bought from direct rivals
do Dortmund win bundesliga every seasons ?
Pavard? Sule?
@@716_ハディくん no because they always crumble under the pressure, that's not Bayerns fault

This sucks. I don't hate Bayern. But I am tired of them not having any competition. I want Dortmund to get up there and stay awhile. And I want Shalke to comeback to the Bundesliga and get good again. That would be an exciting 3 way race and at least better than what they have over there currently.

This is why I'll always have respect for virtually any other team in Germany, and always despise Bayern (in terms of how the club is run, not the players). What's the point of a league if one club is so well set up to succeed at the detriment of the others? It defeats the whole point of a professional competitive league.
The Bundesliga is sort of boring because of this factor. No one wants a league where one team wins everything every season.
that why la liga better
That's a joke, right?
@@716_ハディくん 🤣🤣🤣🤣 Yeah, cos where 2 clubs have won 15 out of the last 17 is "entertaining" 🤦♂️🤦♂️ That sort of explains why the Premier League has been so successful over its counterparts- because even with moneybags owners coming in there have been 6 clubs who have won it in the last 17 years.
Update: They've won their 10th league title.
The World Cup final thing is shared with Inter, up to the latest final in 2018 (Perisic and Brozovich from Inter, Tolisso from Bayern)
The mega deal song deserves a looped version. Its so catchy
Bayern does Buy a lot of Players of other Clubs, but Dortmund does it as well. An the bigger problem are leagues like the premier league, because of them the prises and payments continue to rise and Players want to leave the bundesliga.
2:48 i had to Look twice at that Map to realise what is going on
Make a video on "What is happening to Istanbul club?" pervious season's Turkey's champions
I too would like to know more about Istanbul Başakşehir's fall from Champions to relegation contenders.
Somewhat correct, but it misses some points. Mainly TV Money split and Champions League earnings.
In the PL, the split between the 1st and the last is 1,6:1
For every € the last one gets from the TV deal, the champions get 1,6€.
In Germany, the Champions get 10% more than the second and unbelievable 400% more than the Last one. Split is 1:3,8
Whenever there's a discussion coming up in changing that, guess who's making noise opposing that.
Quality comment
Bayern being so damn dominant is a damn good reason against the 50+1 rule
BAYERNliga is ruining football

The Premier League is unique. Even if you have the same winner or winners for a couple of years, there is no guaranteed winner, and 3rd to 7th in the table is in constant flux. Equally dividing TV money is key to that.
Tv revenue comes from 1st 2nd placed teams matches than 17th or 18th i think

If we had an attractive and competitive Superleague with teams like Dortumd and Bayern, Dortmund would make enough money to retain Haaland, Pulisic and great players while even signing some new stars. Therefore making the league much more competitive, this league would then be more watchable and its TV rights would be much more expensive, TV rights that would make smaller clubs earn much more, making them more competitive and ultimately having a league with more than two contenders
Players want prestige and to live in atleast a decent city and not in a industrial pice of shit city like Dortmund
Are we gonna ignored Joe casually dropping a banger.
10 years in a row, they are in the same club as the croatian team.
This is why the super league would’ve been great. Most leagues are trash with only 1 or 2 teams competing for the title.
So to fix that problem, you are going to add a league with only the said clubs that are dominating their domestic leagues that they can't get relegated from and give them upwards of 300 million a year. Yea that would for sure fix the competitive balance in football.
Hahaha!!! That Mega Deal bit at the end is hilarious! 😂😂😂
Forgot absolutely EVERYTHING once I heard the Mega Deal BANGER 😂
Bayern pulls up to these other clubs like
"Hmmm, ill take that one and that one....nooooo noooo nooo not him no that one"

2:29 odd it is mentioned the closest rivals to Bayern in the previous Money List segment but then show the difference between Bayern and a newly promoted side in regards to broadcasting payments
Just talking about this subject today shockingly
The Bayernliga is quite unintresting
The fact they have by far the most money in Bundesliga obviously increases the chance of winning it in the end. But still there have been enough opportunities for contenders in the last 9 years to at least break the streak
Money always wins out..because really all the other top clubs are selling clubs.that never keep a plaayer that is in their prime..only deceloping youngsters and older veterans
This really summarizes the case in way less time than the video. If any club had bayerns money. They could pay higher wages and stop selling.
As a Borussia Mönchengladbach fan, and yes I did go to the matches! We've known this for decades. It helps when your State is the size of a medium european country and you have little competition in it. There fore they probably had an advantage from the start? Nurnberg, not these days, 1860, 3rd tier, etc etc.....Only NRW has a larger population, however look at the quantity of competing Bundesliga clubs in that State?
Unfortunately it won't change unless the other teams get more money.
If i were a billionaire MSV Duisburg would challenge them but unfortunately i ain't lmao
Really enjoyed the jingle at the end 😂
