Dave and Nugget are invited guests at the 2022 Husky Trek near Gympie in South Western Queensland, Australia. They took along their Husqvarna 701s that they rode across the tropics of Northern Australia in the successful Tropical Punch Series that can be seen on this channel and viewed by over a half a million motorcycle adventurers.
The five day Husky Trek covered about 2000 kilometres and this story is about immersing the viewer with Dave and Nugget through their challenges, thrills, spills and funny moments.
Along the way, Dave and Nugget catch up with fellow like minded Husky riders and talk all things motorcycle adventure, from bike set up to maintenance.
Dave and Nugget also ride with Lyndon Posskit on a couple of occasions and share some excellent riding conditions and fun as well as some special very funny interviews.
Nuggets approach to gear is amazing, goes to show you don't need the best and newest gear to enjoy and have fun

The flying pre 88 pensioner great insight into the Husky trek. Awesome trails, they are a great bike..& the Norden eats it up as well..Nugget is just in control out of control on the trails..lots of great scenery, filming & commentary very well done. Look forward to Ep 2..

What an awesome set of tracks for the first section of riding. Looking good as always fellas, and as old mate said this bike isn't adventure sport or touring she's all about adventure expedition. Great to see a bike company like husqvarna really showcasing the bikes strengths and weaknesses, plus giving their bike owners a great experience. Keep it 2 wheels down.

What an awesome episode. Man we live in a beautiful country. I've never got to do a ride like that but after hitting the local trails as much as I can I reckon I've almost got my skills up enough for me and my trusty ol TE610 to give it a crack.

Best thing you can do is put a Athena GET Ecu on it , having the ability to tune it on the fly with your phone is so good, especially when running sub standard fuel
Not interested although I like the idea of detuning for poor fuel
Greetings Dave and Clubby WOW! Bloody brilliant, amazing ride trails, superb skill set and lots of fun and comradeship. I have to say this out of Genuine Concern for Clubby...its beyond time he updated his equipment, I love the Milk Crates, however his body armour, the gloves etc...its beyond time and its a risk in regards to personal injury. Can some Gear Importer shout this amazing Man some gear, please!!!! David..Adelaide..Tiger 900GT.
I offered him KLiM, he won't wear it. He says it spoils his image. :). You can't change a Nugget.

Awesome episode, cool gathering, event and trails looked fun. Where in Australia is this? I think all of us have had turns coming up to fast, especially early on the days before waking up behind the bars or at the ends when low on energy. Love your characters, always a word on Nuget 😂. Thank you. I feel comfortable on the 701. The suspension was set up by Clive Ward for my weight, use and purpose. That makes a HUGE difference in terms of handling and confidence.
@@MotorcycleAdventureDirtbikeTV agreed suspension and for me tire choices made night and day difference and you guys were going through everything aside from snow and ice lol that’s next week’s video great video too really great

This is brilliant Dave! Looking forward to episode 2. You look very comfortable on the slimy stuff on the 701. I’ve seen in “rumble in the jungle” that you also own a 300 2-stroke. Given the above, do you often feel you need to go out on that rather than the 701?
I haven't been on the 300 for years and hence it wasn't working properly. But usually I would be faster on that single. In terms of the 701, much of that confidence comes from having he suspension set up correctly for weight and purpose. It makes a huge difference. See how it lands after a decent jump.

These bikes have massive following for performance ability although can they be ridden through hard terrain, camped over night over and over. It seems as much as this is a amazing bike it needs similar maintenance in the shed. Like a more enduro type bike which puts me off as I like reliability and not so hard offroad Nuggets brake fluid wtfomg lol. A bike you want to get away on, no matter where should need new oil fresh filter lubed up chain fuel and a great attitude to ride which you deliver and thank you for your great content 😀 😊 👍

Why don't offroad riders leave a bigger gap? (Or have the faster riders go first)
Seems like it'd just be stressful/distracting to have some guy riding your butt, on what could otherwise be your personal paradise if you left like 1/2 mile gaps.
Then do check-ins every 10 miles, or 20 minutes, or whatever, to make sure everyone & their bikes are OK?
Maybe it's fun IRL? Looks more like Dave is annoyed about going slow & should just pass everyone & ride at his own, faster, pace.
Idk, if I was on that road, I assume I'd want to slow down every few minutes to check out the beautiful scenery, and then go all-out whenever I wanted to. Seems dumb to bunch up- it's not some public canyon road where you have to be tolerant of everyday drivers- seems like everyone should be able to go solo at their own preference.
The video compresses the close riding. It's not that common during the day as the riders spread out.
