I have to admit, more I see new Cadillac interiors, I like them. This strikes the right balance of tech and luxury, and it's arguably nicer than any of the interiors that Lexus, BMW, and Mercedes are putting out now.
"Looks nice" ....iv'e had 3 Cadillacs since 2014 and 2 of the 3 had problems interior door trim fall of on 3 and had to have it replaced and the one i have now the dashboard bubbled up as the glue came undone i;m currently waiting for a new one from the factory to come to have it installed..thats on a 2022 xt5 with 20,000 miles on it. when the lease it up i'm not leasing any more of this brand.
@@abbylowery5305 I mean the interiors do look super nice with the screen layout and materials. And the lyriq does come off as a plush EV. If I had to get a Cadillac, I’m only getting a CT4 or CT5 V/Blackwing. Those are rockets and super fun from what I’ve read. But lyriq looks nice.
A friend of mine leased one of these a couple of months ago, and loves it. I was super impressed also after spending a week riding around in it. My only complaint is marginal air conditioning on very hot days, particularly in the 2nd row, but Cadillac is reportedly making changes to address that for 2025.
Have a 24 sport 1 right now. Traded in a 16 Tesla model X. It's a beautiful car (black), but I've had dinner issues the first two months (I've owned it for 3 months). 2nd day off the lot, wind noise. In service for a week. Next week the interior ambient lighting on the front and rear driver's side didn't come on. In service for a few days then they returned it to me. Drove it home and the problem still was there. Tim it back and I had to wait almost two weeks for the new part. Other than that, I get tons of compliments.

Its a damn good looking vehicle, no doubt about it.
I have a Lyriq, there is a car logo that appears on the screen when vehicle is off, clicking that reveals controls like garage door opener and glove box button. Meaning, if the car is unlocked, you can open glove box without turning the vehicle on.
The only thing that bugs me about the Lyriq is the charger door. How it pops out and giggles, looks kinda cheap, like It should be accompanied by a “boing” sound😂 Other than that, I love it.
unfortunately most of the cars made by any manufacturer aren't reliable anymore. between all of the plastic and turbo engines..there's a lot of really poorly made cars on the market.
They don't seem to be my neighbor has had hers in the shop more that she has driven it. Battery can say 30% charge and the car quits working, the air conditioning barely works and the lighting system throws computer codes.
eh the glove box thing is likely a security thing. plenty of people don’t lock the box. and with no engine ignition or starter it doesn’t hurt anything i will think
I expect someone to have a linked video soon, Doug, or CG, C&D, better yet Jalopnick... In just how power trains work in the new world. The jump in torque from rear to AWD had me gasp lol. I know some things, but very little, and as my good man here was explaining "that's good, but it's not great" regarding change time, I find myself looking for God's honest mansplaining on The New World of cars. The gold batteries and various other CGI at 3:07 doesnt really explain how things work. But gold is fun.
No rear wiper? But how will I know I'm about to be arrested for hate crimes if it's raining heavily in the Florida Keys? (Tbh that's a good look GM. "At least make them have to clean there own fucking back window. Full service style. The machine does everything else. Have em have to pull into a gas station for a clear view of posterity." Fn old-school FU. Looks awesome.)
They ditch the trunk space (a cult fav feature of their brand in the Mafia years) and hold true to the boat like suspension in a car with more torque than almost anything they've made to date. EVs are weird.
I like electric cars, but they are not reliable. I'm sorry to say that I don't have a time to stay on the chargers for like one hour to charge my car one hour imagine every day you go one hour one hour one hour you waste in one month day and a half of being on a supercharger. I wish Cadillac the lyric car SUV for hybrid cars. It's beautiful design. They should do it in hybrid too.
It has 300 plus range. What are you talking about? You can go from Miami to Clearwater or Miami to just 20 miles south of St. Augustine. Can easily stop and charge while you take a break on a 5 hour drive! Most people with EV’s get stations at home. And only have to fill up when in a long road trip.
I dont have hours to charge, but my Lyriq gets 300 miles of range on the highway (way better than my previous teslas) and gets nearly 100 miles of range in ten or less minutes. Idk about you, but I dont drive more than four hours without stopping for a bathroom break and to get some steps in, not to mention it’s unhealthy to be in a car for extended time.
This is a good-looking vehicle. But, there is nothing more "General Motors" than completely committing it's flagship brand to a gimmicky technology which is doomed to fail in the market.
As someone who's been a Cadillac enthusiast since I was 7 years old (and that's back in the early 70's) I have to say this thing is UGLY! Plus those seats don't look comfortable at all. They're small and they look hard as anything. No plushness at all. How is a big guy like me supposed to fit in those tiny seats? Plus, it looks like he's pinned in between that huge console and the door. No room to move your legs around!
@@nicholasfitchett7278 I DO have an Escalade! My point is that years ago, midsize cars, like sedans and even some compacts had more seat and body room than these new things! It's just like the airplane seats. Most people don't even fit entirely into the seat because they have become so small. 30/40 years ago they were big cushioned comfy seats. I could never ride in one now with all my muscle issues.
I have test drove one, as someone who 5’ 11” and 200 pounds it has plenty of interior room. Neither the front or back seats are cramped. If you are NFL linebacker sized though maybe nothing but an Escalade or Hummer will do.
@@RenlangRen Yea I'm like 6'1" and around 240 pounds. Plus due to muscle issues, I never keep my legs straight and forward when I drive. Usually my left one is tucked behind my right one to take pressure off. How were the seats? Hard like a 2X4? I used to have a 2005 Yukon and when I went to buy a new one, I was shocked at how hard the seats were. Shorter too. Felt like I was going to keep sliding off.
@@retroguy9494 I didn't feel at all like I was going to slide out of the Lyriq seats (I am currently driving an ats-v with the recaro sport seats that are very snug with high bolsters). To me the Lyriq had very plush seats. If anything they were a little too plush for me, But I am used to sportier vehicles with firmer seats with extra bolstering. As far as the amount of room in the car, you're larger than I am, but you're not NBA large. I'm still surprised that you felt cramped. Objectively the Lyriq has more room than its competitors.

I have the same problem
That’s a dealbreaker here in Florida
Congrats on the new position Dave!

Very enthusiastic review! Thx
I love the way mine drives but, the air conditioner is horrible, and hate that there is no rear wiper.
Hopefully when they add native NACS ports in 2025, they change the port location.
Good looking unique vehicle. Not being able to open glovebox with car being off is stupid. Overall a good electric.
Its a safety measure from what I could read. Protects your valuables if the car gets broken into

How often does anyone really go into a "glove box"?

The best decision I made so far as I was looking to upgrade from a Tesla. I have the tech but looking to update to luxury in the next few months. ❤
It looks very nice but is it reliable ?

I’m waiting on the Lyriq’s baby brother, the Optiq.
You missed how and where the shift is???

If Cadillac made ICE versions or even a hybrid of these exact same models, Cadillac could boost sales to a good margin...
xt4 is very similar and has the exact same screen
But it’s GM being GM after all
307 mile range, talk about limiting your progress bit by bit, enough to convince your of 15 minute city zones heading our way.
What do all these numbers mean? 600?

Now what if the car has an issue and dies, how do you access the owners manual in the glove box
Owners manual is online
what a nice car
While driving in my Cadillac...
Beep beep. Beep beep.
The One went beep beep beep.
Love everything about it except the fact my 2018 Kia Forte sport hatchback gets further than this in a single tank.
The front end needs to be redesigned- it’s far too busy visually.
I will like and subscribe after I watch the video. Not before sir😂. Do know if I like till after
So what’s the verdict?? Are you a new subscriber? 😅
🤔 Still thinking 😂
That Name Is Like Škoda, Karoq Kamiq Enyaq. And Cadillac with lyriq

Toyota Crown Signia comparison!!
To be honest whether you agree or not cadillac is above them all
I loved the car. Too many bugs in it. I have been out of a car for over three month now. No updates or anything.
“charging speeds of 190 kwh, which is good, but not great”. HUH?????
It's just true.
The new Lincoln Navigator dash is better.
I test drove and loved everything about the vehicle but....the seats are awful. Hard low bolsters and nit comfortable
Someone already complained about having electrical problems 3 months into ownership

wow so you buy a luxury car, and it rides well...who cares about a BMW ..you want handling get a V series..
$75k...for a squished SUV.
😂Head of what?.....😂😂
This is a commercial. Geeze.
ignoring all the hard plastic on the doors shows how you are not good at this
The rear design killed the usability of this vehicle
