Summary for easily remembering (you should still watch the video, it's great): 1. Put your phone out of sight 2. Meditating 3. Artificially invoke a sense of intensity 4. 'Training' focus daily 5. Meditation is extremely useful because: 1: while meditating on a single object ( breath, the best option ), the part of the brain related to self-awareness & self-control is engaged, and this engagement makes it more and more stronger ( since brain is a muscle too ) 2: You practice patience and observational skills ( by observing your breathe and body sensations ) 3: gray material in your pre-frontal cortex grows( biological life's most advanced/evolved feature, responsible for intelligence and creativity ) 4: Your Brain's energy allocation improves since your MONKEY MIND isn't draining away most of Brain's energy, giving our subconscious minds the time to solve problems in background, which leads to flashes of creative ideas. thank u.🥰
The common misconception is that we with ADHD can't focus at all. In reality, we can actually HYPER FOCUS on things we are really interested in for hours!

I will forever appreciate you Captain Sinbad. You've helped my family a lot, since the pandemic till now your advices and lessons are inspirational and helpful to us. My husband and I have been able to be minimal, conscious in spending, saving and lnvesting wisely. We have able to earn on a weekly basis and it helps the family a lot. You're such a blessing to this generation. We all love♥️😊

Focusing is the most important challenge we face in today's world of constant distraction. What you focus your attention on is your experience of life. Do you look at your phone every five minutes or do you focus on something meaningful? That's your decision (and your life).
I think this is a timely reminder for many of us. Attention spans can be pretty short these days. Look at all the short versions of content out there. I can get thousands of people to watch an IG reel, but only a tiny fraction of them would check out my full-length UA-cam revolving around the same topic. Those bite-sized pieces of information we consume can be costly if we don't deliberately exercise balance. Those of us who can remain focused in this landscape have an immediate advantage in productivity. Discipline goes a long way, and these techniques you shared are practical tips to make that happen. Thanks!
Great video. Every time I watch one of your creations I get a boost of inspiration and motivation to work on my self-development more intensely. My favourite tip here is probably practicing hyperfocus. I eliminated a lot of distractions from my life over the past year (facebook, a lot of time spent on IG, although there's still room for an improvement, news, most entertainment yt channels, tv shows, etc), but I noticed that I still occupy my brain with other "useful" (or I tell myself they are) distractions, mostly podcasts and audiobooks. I think this idea of focusing on the task at hand (which can be combined with the mindfulness I think) is important. When you workout - focus on workout and mind-muscle connection, when you work, focus on task in front of you, even if it's mundane, when you wash dishes, focus on damn dishes. I've been actually toying with the idea to experiment and live for a week, maybe a month, like I'm in 90s - no social media, no youtube, no podcasts, maybe just some music, phone if I need to, books and that's it. It feels almost embarrassing to admit, but it seems like a scary concept and I resist doing it. Which is probably more of a reason to do so.
I love the last point of just having the one thing you need to get done, that way I’m not procrastinating on that thing because it’s big and I can knock out all the small ones, small goals will no longer be an excuse to put off the real work!
Brother to brother, these are the kind of videos I had been missing after the NoFap series! We Indians don't have exposure to content for these pure sources of accumulated and bookish knowledge, and currently, all we have in India are superficial podcasters talking about stupid and trending things. I am glad you decided to start posting these videos with such tried and tested knowledge. Brother, please keep it up, because your words really get through me. And I personally loved your videos on men becoming weak as evolution progresses. I strongly associate with all your thoughts.
dude, I really respect how your taking points of studying from all walks of life, from youtubers, to famous ppl, or even your friends good points, and wrapping them all up into a tangible UA-cam video that could change students way of studying and effectiveness. bravo Sinbad!

I don't have any social media apps in my phone for the very reason that it destroys my focus because I end up getting lost in the vortex of these apps. I use Facebook from my computer. Kinda old school, I know hahah. But it works for me. Simplicity is key for me.
Deadlines are a great way to get our a** in gear, for sure!! I think it was in one of Malcolm Gladwell’s books where he said something along the lines where procrastinators actually are more efficient coz when you’re under a deadline, you just cut straight to the chase and focus on what needs to be done. Soooo... maybe instead of procrastinating, giving ourselves fake deadlines can definitely keep us going on a task. Nice one, and looking forward to seeing your mega output of videos soon! 🙌😉

So here's a small alternative to deleting your UA-cam app after posting: I upload my video, set it to unlisted and publish to a much smaller, but more intimate audience (via my mailing list), and after a week, I change the video setting - schedule to public in 2-4 weeks. Almost always I forget that I had made that setting. Also I don't receive any push notification from UA-cam app.

Appreciate the video , getting more tips for focus or a reminder on some does help. I think Instagram is the big one for me. I'll put in a maximum time for the app again per day. Maybe like 20 min does the trick.
I really like to set shorter timers and do as much as possible within the time. usually 15-30 minutes. If I'm still in the flow I'll keep going with similar intensity but if my brain needs a break then the 15-30 minutes is over and I can rest.
