I’m only 18, but one thing I’ve found in life is that nothing will happen if you don’t do anything. As an artist, it’s very hard to start. A blank canvas is intimidating. This is coming from the kid who won a 1st place award from the Mayor in my town which has 2 Highschools of around 4000 kids each. It’s also intimidating to live up to the expectations set by my previous pieces. Sometimes I look back and don’t understand how I created the stuff I made. But I’ve learned that I just need to do it, stop thinking and letting myself get in my head. I amassed 150k Tiktok followers through my art now, but am trying to make educational UA-cam videos on tougher historical or philosophical ideas. It’s stupid to think I’ll have 100k subs one day but nothing will happen if I don’t do it. So I started making videos and reading more books to get ideas for content. Forrest Gump embodies the idea of doing, he literally just can’t let things get in his head to create mental road blocks, and this is why he succeeded to much. He never once doubted himself.
Now I know it was an ad for Endel, but do listen to Jeremy Zuckermann's AtLA and LoK OST suite. You'll like it. Also, today's video was compelling. Very compelling. "Just do it". He doesn't get too much in his heads. This is where most if us fail , we become our biggest critics and talk ourselves out if things we want to do.
Your observation skill is exemplary. You truly are getting close to guide many people Captain Sinbad.
Thanks Nikhil.
some new words that i learned from this video
Accolades: praise and approval showed by many people
example: the weeknd received grammy award, which the highest accolade in the music industry.
the runt of the litter idiom: weakest person in the group
example: animals reject the runt of the litter.

It's like you know exactly what i need in life on one particular day. Thank you for everything captain.

Thinking too much is one of my biggest problems. I'll take the first step faster.
Thank you!
1. Naval: you have to act when inspiration strikes
2. Goggins: it takes all the non-cognitive skills to be great
3. Mad respect for the 156 wpm
4. I've become a self help ideologue (read in JBP voice) regurgitating quotes >.
I personally love the movie Forrest Gump. Thanks for iterating the learnings of it.
Nikhil thanks for creating such content👍🏼
Very inspiring message in this video! Great production. Greatness is coming 💯💫
2:11 Jocko is triggered. but for real, a soldier who just plainly follows orders is not a good one.
Another amazing video by the Captain himself!
Perfect as always!
the point about hearing a song and thinking its a great idea and making a video is something i struggle with, i resonated with that
This is probably one of my favorite videos of yours!
I remember watching this movie and you made me think about the movie differently which is pretty good
You are quickly becoming one of my favourite youtubers. Keep going!
5:30 That's my current situation now. Brain dead the whole day.
After watching the movie, I thought it was just okay... Not a clear plot I thought.. but when I went to sleep that night, I didn't think deeply about humanity's existence and the meaning of life, instead, I thought about this movie.. and then it hit me. This movie was one of the best movies I ever watched. If you want to do something, don't overthink it. Just do it.
Great video, loved your thoughts on the movie.
Being biased towards action can really help, it's one of the things all of us overlook.
Also,
@CaptainSinbad, can you make a commercial, just for fun?
(Not like a joke, but a real commercial)
We’re making one for Sony!
Can't wait to watch it!
Captain Sinbad, Ali Abdaal, Joma, Nathaniel and many more are like brothers out there is internet exploring themselves and entertaining other with content worth watching.
Richie hawtin’s a techno legend. So happy to hear you got sponsored by Endel. U desrve it 🖤🙏🏼🔥 i think this is my 2nd year subscribed to you. Congratulations. Keep going ok 🙌🏼
Thanks captain
..You put your experiential knowledge so others don't panic when they get into situations u were in .
That's kindness
Thank you for that
Man idk why I have a strong feeling that you have the skills to interview celebs really well!
Thank you.
Synchronicity - thanks for the video man!
Well said sir. Always enjoy your content! To quote Tom Hanks from "Cast Away" about life, "Tomorrow the sun will rise and who knows what the tide will bring."
lol I also love the Social Network soundtrack and find that some of the album tracks are way too intense and jarring. Great plug
Best video, your channel is great. you always articulate lessons you’ve learned genuinely and your own unique way and not regurgitate same as other productivity youtubers. Keep it up, can’t wait to see you reach your goals/milestones! Thanks for the videos
This video literally gave me clarity, the art of saying 'okay let's do it' for something challenging and scaring is really great!! And I think this is something which is worth my life!
Happy that I found this video ❤️
Thanks Sindbad and Forrest.
"Just get it done"
It is really that simple.
I think the mantra of « life is like a box of chockolate you never know what you are gonna get» is brilliant. I invest in the stockmarket and this « randomness» is the reality of the game for us 99.99% who are not Warren Buffet. Too just « buy and hold» the indexfunds and not trying to predict the market is harder than it seems. The « just do it» mantra of Nike is also brilliant
Thank you. Loved it. Very useful and you are sooo right.
Hi caiptan i am from your second channel musafir Sinbad. Musafir sinbad was mentor for me. I Will meet you one day. By the way i am from (U P) india. Thanks for all of your guidens. Name akash kumar.
the curious case of benjamin button is another movie that is like forrest gump but with a completely different character
this has been actually a bit therapeutic and gave me few amazing insights on the Talent v Skill conundrum.
Thanks, Nikhil
Greatness is coming
I have seen Captain grow. He inspires me to stay on track because greatness is genuinely coming.

ive been watching you for a while now but this vid just hooked me for real
so much in simply doing sth instead of excessive planning
