Love how Stoicism overlaps so much with yogic philosophy. Ultimately, they’re different paths to the same thing: becoming aware of Self, what drives you, and how to change unhelpful patterns. It all starts with that self-awareness and deciding what you’re going to do with it. Thanks for sharing!

I feel this is not a self help channel anymore, it's like shared struggle channel. As, one might feel at the end of every video Sinbad had figured it out, and then we continue with another video on how to deal with life. Not saying it's bad for channel, on the contrary I feel it's great what you're doing man. A form of reminder of our own mortality and we are all here to give our best to what we value :)

I've learned that motivation for me comes starting the activity not before so I give myself the two minute rule for example if I feel like I don't wanna workout I just go ahead and put my workout clothes on and by the time I'm dressed I'm motivated to start my workout. I also deleted social media which has opened up a whole chunk of my day that I use to read or do random chores or focus on a hobby.

Yes. A good rule of thumb is to spend energy and resources where you know it will bring an actual ROI to your life. That is what is most rewarding, too. Usually that means doing the hard stuff that we don’t feel like doing (that resistance dissapears when we start the activity, in my experience. There’s only resistance prior to the work.)
However I don’t believe in micromanaging oneself, at least that’s not for me. Makes me feel like a slave/prisoner. Creativeness and great ideas can come from being understimulated and being free.
Beware the barrenness of a busy life.

A main reason Seneca reads more plainly than Marcus Aurelius and Epictetus is that Seneca wrote in Latin, while the others wrote in Greek. Epictetus himself was Greek, and for Marcus, the norm at the time was for Roman elites to use Greek rather than Latin, since it was considered more sophisticated. Latin as a language flows more plainly than Greek does, and it also translates more smoothly to English.

The gym I find productive but outside of these two things I feel so tired and drained to purse any goals that will better my life. Delaying gratification is actually great. But the same voice that tells me this is the right thing to do, avoiding procrastination at all costs, or avoiding postponing what has to be done for the sake of being extremely productive and not wasting life, just because I don't feel like doing it, also tells me that this may be very unhealthy at times.

    About the imaginary friend:
Everybody has one, and it's called a conscience, but we so often give way to quick pleasures and instant gratification, that this voice it's weak and drowned by our actions. Meditation daily, pause before you act and a little bit of spirituality, will develop the headspace for the conscience to be louder.
