    Plan to get some new taylor wires for my 5.3 Squarebody. Using ls3 wires cause they fit alot better. Gonna change plugs while I'm at it. Also I know all about that gravel road life 😎

    Fixing to do all this on my 84 K10 was running smooth and just shut off and wont start. New plugs, New ignition coil , cap , resistor , rotor , oil pressure sensor , water pump , thermostat , fuel pump . Gotta pay the dues owning a older truck means lesrning and fixing ur own shit cause its old and needs love . Add a new part means you find something else that needs replaced. Great vidoe by the way. Very helpful

    Hey ! I have an 89 corvette I checked everything, fuel pressure, fuel pump, fuses, injectors, battery, plugs, I’m actually having trouble with my distributor I don’t think I’m getting any spark to the plugs. The car was running great, then it sat for a few years. I’m going to try to change the cap, wires, and rotor tomorrow to see if that maybe be. Any suggestions?

      Definitely check your ignition control module & your coilpack, & grounds .

    Great video.
    Question on the dialectic grease:
    Both sides of the ‘washer?’ Or just the bottom?
    Thanks again!

    Hello I just replaced the cap rotor and plug wires on my 75 k10. Fires up great but now it has a ticking noise of sorts haven’t drove it because I’m afraid of causing damage. Any ideas?

      Could be many things, possibly didn't get a plug tight enough, exhaust leak, plug wire burnt and arcing out.

    How often would you ever have problems with or a bad coil ? Or know one is bad for that matter just curious I know most times you just transfer over to new cap

    • @SquarebodyStuff
      @SquarebodyStuff  10 місяців тому +1

      Usually if a coil is bad it just plain stops working.

      @@SquarebodyStuff cant they be tested or something to show u its going bad or they just plain dont work all of a sudden like you said? I never seen anyone in my time ever have to replace it usally just a cracked cap or worn out rotor

      You can use an ohm meter to test them. I've had a few go bad on me.
