Just found this content and really appreciate it as I’m getting ready to do a resto on an old American made model. I really appreciate you making these videos. It gives me a much better idea of what I’m going to need to look at.

@@shedasaurusquestion. Am I better off machining my self a new piston rod(talking the bit with the cups) or is there a source for them? Mine is quite beat up and I’d rather replace it. I guess I just worry about the use of standard carbon steel. Could use brass?

Hello, I want to repair my Myers manufactured in the USA, I am from Mexico and I am interested in buying the spare parts, is there a way for it to arrive in Mexico?

Thanks for your videos on these great old pumps. I'm rebuilding a Deming pump. I can get 6 gpm with no back pressure and about 3 gpm at 60 psi. But the gaskets that I have been making out of gasket material and permatex are not holding the pressure. What do you use for gaskets?

I want to run my Deming pump with a Dankoff DC motor that came with a solar pump. Unfortunately the motor runs the opposite direction from what you recommend here and also from the arrow on my pump. The motor will run backwards, but I'm not sure whether that it would last. I could turn it around, but then I lose the use of the nice built-in platform and tensioner.

You would have to check with an electrician, from what I have been told it can go either way
