Love the magnifying glass hack. You have inspired me to fix my scale situation on my bench.
I found this old comment, Nathan...thanks! I don't recall where I stumbled across the magnifying glass on the scale idea - it may have been in an old reloading book from back in the day. I sure hope all is well with you and your family.
Excellent video my friend I love the music too and the magnifying Glass is genius
Thanks, Scotsman!
No spoken words, easy to understand, great equipment and information. Thank you!!!
Thank you for the kind compliments!
@@WilliamCChapin You are most welcome!
Love the throughly information. I got a pen launcher and been wanting to reload some
It's an enjoyable hobby! Thanks for watching!
Great video,,,so cool and calm
Thanks, Tim - I appreciate that!
Great Video. Unique is a good choice for large slugs like .44 special. 6 to 7.5 grains of Unique is perfect for a 240 gr lead bullet. I've found that anything over 8 gr that isn't gas checked will start to lead up the barrel. With that Ruger, and jacketed bullets, you can make a very hot load for sure. I've been using unique for 38/40, 44/40, 45 LC for cowboy and my steady load is 7 gr Unique with 38/40 and 44/40 200 gr slugs and 45 200 up to 250 gr lead slugs. You may find that 6.5 and 7.5 loads will shoot to point of aim.I think working up a load for your gun is almost as much fun as shooting it.
That sounds right in the ballpark, @Paul A.

I have a few in the works, including two in editing. Thanks for the support, Willie.
Now, that's how it's done! Where did you get that handle for your Lee Auto Disk powder measure?
Hi JCM45...That's the discontinued Safety Disk Powder Measure. LEE hasn't catalogued it in a long time. I bought a couple used - I like them.
Thanks. Have never seen one before. Mine is press activated.
whatsnext has a video about it on his channel:

Good video. I like how you organize your set up, a small space where you maximize the use of everything need to craft your ammunition. What will you be using as a firearm? Dave.
Thanks, Dave...I appreciate your comments. So far, only Loads of Bacon knows what the firearm is - and he's drinking coffee in a hotel as part of the witness protection program!
Good video, found you through UJ shoutout.
Good morning, Georgiaboy44 - You're the 40th Subscriber...Thanks!

Thanks, Reloader Dude!
I've just recently purchased all the equipment to start reloading and the 44spl is going to be the first caliber I start with. Is there any particular advice you could offer me? I really enjoyed your videos. I too have a GP100 but mine has the 3" barrel. I want to be able to produce safe powerful loads and also some safe mid level loads for target practice. I decided to start reloading due to the cost of some larger calibers that I use (like 44spl). I generally just buy factory ammo for the more common calibers (9mm, 223, etc...)
There is plenty of good load data available for the 44 Special. Several members of The Reloaders Network have covered it recently, including Thor's Axe and Loads of Bacon. If you are interested in cast lead bullets, the Lyman 429421 Keith Semi-Wadcutter is a common choice for this chambering. The plated bullets that I showed in the video also work very well - the mid range powder charges are gentle, good shooters.
Thanks for the info and the reply. I like your content. Went ahead and subscribed.
Thanks for the kind words, Fish&Cars!
