7:00 its not the base income. Its the faction capital hidden income. Every faction has a base income of 1500 + a hidden income at his capital city, which varies between the factions. Seems like its 1000 for rome in ceacar campaign.
It would be nice to see a Total War game having so detailed regions on global map. I mean, that would be nice to have such Gaul in global campaign and the rest regions. That would be real strategy, tactics and Total War!
Александр Леонкин My thoughts exactly! Have the whole campaign map as big and detailed as this. And give us the option of ''short campaign'', so if you don't wanna go map completion, you'll get victory once you've conquered Gaul, subdued Carthage, or whatever
Александр Леонкин that would be a ridiciously big map. The europa barbarorum map is already crazy big, but what you are suggesting is incredibly big. Would still be interesting tho
meinefressekeineahnung wieichdenkackkanalnennensoll But the campaign maps would be so much better. Invading areas would be a big deal and actually take some planning. The problem with total war now is that it's better to just conquer the entire map instead of establishing borders and frontiers. Take the Grand campaign, instead of establishing a frontier in Syria, it's better to just conquer everything to the edge of the map.
There are so many mods which do this to games past and present. It is insanely overrated. Campaigns go on for too long and are just grinds. By the later stages, when you've unlocked your best troops, you're creating hordes of Doom stacks and just crushing the AI over and over again. There is a reason these games have the capability to have many regions than they put in; it just isn't that fun. There is a sweet number of regions you can have before it starts getting too tedious. I don't like Empires map where it was too few regions for the territory, yet the map of say Europe Barbarorum is too big and tedious. I think games should focus on battles and the settings for them. Instead of more regions have more battles which both matter and are intense.
Also, it's a shame that Rome 2 and Attila have this "why bother" auto-resolve balance. I really enjoy seeing you fight manually. Let's hope they address this issue on the next historical titles (as they seem to be doing, judging from your Warhammer 2 review). Although I must say I don't have much faith due to CA's latest decisions regarding game design.
Damn it's always funny to watch your vids. The ease that you play this game while Caesar in Gaul is one off the hardest. I wish I was as good as you. So can only do 1 thing. Play even more. You defenitly didn't "steal" your YT name. You truly are the legend off total war!
When I played this I also went after the Suebi and the Nervii first but expanding west rather then north might be better. The coastal regions are a lot richer.
It's funny how in Rome 2, you're better off fighting barbarian infantry in the woods with roman infantry, because the speed decrease impeeds the barbarians' charge bonus xD Ahistorical af, game mechanic-wise I like it though :l
Just after 43:30 you send your legionaries in to attack by right-clicking one unit, yet they all move forward and attack in a line. How do you do this?
The Winters in this would freeze the balls of a brass monkey. One of the best DLCs I have ever begun to play. It has the Caesar factor. Sometimes the blade sticks. Beware the Ides of March.
Thanks for making this campaign. You help me with some ideas....but..damn(lol). You have your movements for the game in Super Speed...lol. Again, I've enjoy watching, and keep them going....
Why thou thats where the campaign goals are , and now that region is making me more money than anything else. I played it different I set up taxes on max advanced public order tech religious buildings to bring it to normal and now money is not as tight . Putting taxes on very high seems smart considering it stops growth cause you don't have time to upgrade all the buildings most of the time anyways so slowing down growth is very smart , I didn't initially have that reasoning for putting max taxes but then in clarified itself
If I recall correctly, depending on the relative value I place on the general as well as the relative value the game places on him, I think it costs less in money and influence to allow your character to be adopted by the other house and then adopt him right back; I find the adoption and blackmail dilemma to be a direct screw-you to your finance (as you demonstrated, sucking up 95%+ of your current treasury).
same thing with the marriage popups, i had one that demanded like 8000 gold to marry a general, click no, went to the character screen, did the marriage for like 500 from there lol
I am rather curious about this but as you are playing it now i will ask is Rome 2 a much better game, have the bugs and problematic AI been fixed. If so is it now worth a buy or not at all, P.S already have Attila just want some early Roman style gameplay. Cheers
I like way more your Rome 1 and MTW2 campaigns. I feel like I can hear in your voice that you don't like any of these rome 2 and Atila campaigns. But anyway, I will still probably watch most of these episodes :)
I always had the impression that Legend appreciates Rome 2 for the things it did right while being a critic and realist towards the many things it did wrong, especially before DLC campaigns. Over time found enjoyment in the few merits it has over Rome 1. And I have to say that I'm glad. I don't know why, but I much prefer to watch him play Empire TW and Rome 2 over other games, despite M2TW being my own favourite game in the series. I just think the modern look and focus on cinematics and graphics makes it more enjoyable to watch in a video for me.
Hi I watch ur rome campaign video and love it so i started to play but for me in struggling especially with money and food. I already conquered 60% of the map I max most of it already but still no money. For u conquered only 40% and u have tons of money so any suggestion to get more money?
playing for fun... right, we all know you will try hard your way to victory, not that it's a bad thing mind you, just your proclamation often fell short(looks at attila campaign after western rome)
Caesar held Narbo Martius, crushed the Helvetii then proceeded to defeat the Suebi within 6 turns of eachother then immediately marched North and crushed the Belgae and then assumed control of all of Gaul. Legend will never match my pal Caesar
i have to disagree, i'm afraid :( Caesar rushed all over Gaul for years to obtain his victories; Legend doesn't need to leave his chair. That's TRUE victory :)
Armchair Civilian Caesar swiftly conquered Eastern Gaul, subdued a tribe in Britanny and then raided Germania and invaded Britannia then after a Gallic uprising defended Narbo Martius from Gallic rebels and crushed the Gauls at the battle of Alesia. Keep in mind, Caesar didn't have a birds eye view of the battles, he had to worry about morale while on the march and supply wagons and routes. Legend can do it from his chair because he's playing a video game which is actually much easier because Legend doesn't have to wait days for the battle to begin or hours for the battle to end, Legend also doesn't have to worry about Gallic mercenaries and cavalry betraying him or his boats getting thrown off course into the middle of enemy territory. Legend has it easy by being in his chair. Caesar obtained UTTER and TOTAL VICTORY.
I have tried global campaign and wrath of Sparta they felt similar and boring after winning a little you are unstoppable , then Hannibal at the gates same shit. Cesar in gaul feels like a different game completely and its much more immersive enjoyable , smaller map but very detailed , no complex politics which is just annoying after you learn the details , no fast moving turns where you replacing generals snd have 100 babies born. The units are so diverse even thou its just barbarians. Its a really thought out game compared to everything .
Hey legend love your stuff just popping in to ask if you feel like you're overdoing it like you used to a year or so ago. Great content and lots of it just makes me hope you don't burn yourself out again. Obviously you sounded very relaxed here but just hope you don't overextend and end up hating it again. Again, love your stuff, cheers
:) Hey brother,if you need some advice,I can help you with every game you play, because I´am a pro, don´t wory I´m not laying, you know who I´am,I´am the best of all time in ewery thing you need. :)
Caesar gets his best philosophers and scholars to research the best way to adopt Marc Antony.
Braden Vande Plasse lol it's a hard thing to do!
THE SENATE EXPECTS DEFEAT! Yet the Goddess fortuna favours the bold. They MUST be divided! scattered! CONQUERED! I will trade their blood for power!
Ximen This is intro is one of the rare one's that are actually pretty good imo
So we went to McDonald's. The Senate got Happy Meals. It was a good compromise.
Why does Caesar look so old? He was 40 years old in 58 BC...here he looks like he's 65
8,954,681 views in game he uses the same mode throughout his entire life
there is the AAA generals mod now so you can get a young caesar then he will get older as time passes
Stress
7:00 its not the base income. Its the faction capital hidden income. Every faction has a base income of 1500 + a hidden income at his capital city, which varies between the factions. Seems like its 1000 for rome in ceacar campaign.

Denam I don't know anything at all about TWW, did it work do have a campaign map that big, or is it fucked?
There are so many mods which do this to games past and present. It is insanely overrated. Campaigns go on for too long and are just grinds. Ah mate, thank you for uploading videos from historical TWs. Also, you're the only youtuber that I don't get tired of. Cheers!

@@LucaHMafra Tbf If I have more than 80% I auto remove everything under I fight myself.
28:59 uh i really need those guys in my party.
Me: *Looks at the guy's name*
Uhh Caesar i don't think that you really need another pain in the back...
Damn it's always funny to watch your vids. The ease that you play this game while Caesar in Gaul is one off the hardest. I wish I was as good as you. So can only do 1 thing. Play even more. You defenitly didn't "steal" your YT name. You truly are the legend off total war!

Legend already did this campaign as Total War challenge, so he never lost, but fuck it, i will watch it again.
Not my proudest fap, but still...
Aki Popovic
That's just wrong. Especially with Legend's dulcet tones ringing out.
This dlc is so frustrating I cant even beat it on normal difficulty, The more I conquer the more factions turn against me
Seriously though that cinematic intro was badass
ave legend
This is such a relaxing and nice campaign
Thank you Legend
Still one of my favourite intros to any total war games
Seriously over HANNIBAL AT GATES ???
It's funny how in Rome 2, you're better off fighting barbarian infantry in the woods with roman infantry, because the speed decrease impeeds the barbarians' charge bonus xD Ahistorical af, game mechanic-wise I like it though :l
not the first time someone's said "priority needs to be given to taking out our most hostile of enemies the Germans"
All galic troops charge will bum like 30-50 Romans even more on legendary. It's better to brace I think rather than counter charge. (Might be wrong)
'They're getting happier, they went from outraged to unhappy.' - just a normal day in Total War public order management.
Just after 43:30 you send your legionaries in to attack by right-clicking one unit, yet they all move forward and attack in a line. How do you do this?
ShallowDramatic They are in a locked group so they won't break formation.
Ah, thank you, I've been wondering how he does that for ages.
Deus vult!... wrong series?
Mateo Kralj
It is still latin, maybe plural for all the gods ;)
Roma Invicta!
Or rather... Ave Caesar!
Ave Caesar, moriduri te salutante?
Never the wrong series for Deus vult
Finely a intelligent AND entertaining strategy gamer.
Thank you. Exactly what I was hoping for.
Very smart gameplay i learned a few things
Caesar gets advice from his friends on how to ask Julia out.
Julia was his daughter lol. He gave her to Pompey for diplomatic relations.
loved this episode give us more of Caesar
everything just looked so smooth...? The loading time is definitely faster
Get some PogChamps in the chat
Great analytic game Style.
Love to see and learn that from you.
it would really fun to watch if you do morebattles and close ups
I like the blunt narration and casual swearing.
4:40 I knew this from a momment i first time played this expansion, but for some reason I always used to defend Narbo
Has anyone tried the steam edition of ceasar in gaul in 2020 ? It seems quite impossible for me.
I love these fun campaigns
I completed this campaign on very hard, but on legendary I thought it is impossible. And I also left Narbo Martis at the beginning.
Why thou thats where the campaign goals are , and now that region is making me more money than anything else.

Yes, please! This is my favorite campaign
Its amazing how this game’s 4 years old.
I have this game but I didn’t play it that much because my computer screen turns blue and crashes every time I start a match or campaign.
43:30 how did you attack like that? like aiming not single battalion but all of them?
Was just waiting for you to do this for long time!!!
Pranav Bandekar he has already done this before
meinefressekeineahnung wieichdenkackkanalnennensoll when? Can you send me link

have not played this game in some time. are there any recommended mods just for the base game?
hi still watching this in 2019
50:18 you made me chuckle there :)
ALRIGHT! ROUND 2 BABY!!
I am the senate
Hey Legend will you play as Sasanid Empire in Attila?
When you get so much riches game makes a dilemma and forces you to spend your money Legend. I think it s for preventing turtling.
I like way more your Rome 1 and MTW2 campaigns. I feel like I can hear in your voice that you don't like any of these rome 2 and Atila campaigns. But anyway, I will still probably watch most of these episodes :)
If you say so, I was under impression that Legend doesnt really like either of those two. :D

Time to see some good old fashion barbarian slaughter!
How do you raise so many units of legionaries while maintaining such high income?
Naked savages vs heavily armoured tanks. Yeah I wonder who is going to win...
Fuck yeah im hyped for this campaign
Have you ever played as Armenia on Rome TW Legend?
playing for fun... right, we all know you will try hard your way to victory, not that it's a bad thing mind you, just your proclamation often fell short(looks at attila campaign after western rome)
Doom stack of 1st cohort and veteran legionary will steam roll Gaul
I remember seeing this one Vs Ashens - a stomping happened. 'twas glorious. :,)
When researching techs for money, you can add your income because the tech will be paid over the turn
Who else skipped into the video to see if legend did nothing but auto resolve everything?
Is legend like Caesar or is Caesar like Legend?
Caesar held Narbo Martius, crushed the Helvetii then proceeded to defeat the Suebi within 6 turns of eachother then immediately marched North and crushed the Belgae and then assumed control of all of Gaul. Legend will never match my pal Caesar

Ceasar = TheLegend27
i'm disappointed - i thought you'd know a joke when you saw one :P
what is your graphic settings here?
God I hate Gauls.
I cant beat this dlc no matter what I do, I keep fighting in a 2 front war and the more I conquer the more I lose territory
Fun? Fun?! Inconceivable!
No way was that on legendary mode, Gallic armies which you attack charging your light horse with slingers, no way 😂
Awesome!
I have tried global campaign and wrath of Sparta they felt similar and boring after winning a little you are unstoppable , then Hannibal at the gates same shit.

would anyone wacth a campaign where ieveryone hwas rich with huge armys? im thinking of starting it
Gods, I hate gauls......
ahhhh Rome 1, the best
Hell yeah!
The culture difference is so annoying in this dlc
"Back to work you shit"
Hey legend love your stuff just popping in to ask if you feel like you're overdoing it like you used to a year or so ago. god damn Romans!
yey nice
Roma Invicta
Can't believe I have to watch this. But I got raped by the tribes. It's a magnificent game. Strength and Honor.
Fuck yes
I love Legend's videos but these Rome II/Attila campaigns are deadly dull, especially battles are boring to watch.
OK don't watch it then, what are you complaining for?
sorry man for being 1st
