Love, love, love Trader Joe. My staples are nut butter, olive oil, Everything bagel seasoning, cacao nibs, steel cut oatmeal, plantain chips, sundried tomatoes, and nuts. There are probably a few more but these are my favs. Thanks for sharing...I have some new ideas to add to my grocery list!
I am not able to do the live classes, so I’m always a day behind. But I had to take the time to say what a great class this was and such a beautiful setting for such a beautifull, amazing lady!❤
Happy Friday my friends! I know you all love to see what I keep in my real life kitchen, so today I am sharing 10 Healthy Pantry Staples that I often like to buy from Trader Joe's and always have on hand! Oh! And PS - next week- we will be posting on Thursday instead of Friday because it's Valentine's day!! XO - Dani
Thank you for this! Can you share the brand of cheese you were cutting? I have been so interested in using a more organic cheese for Rotel Dip and haven't found the right one yet!
Clean & Delicious that same avocado oil brand is available at Costco in a much larger size. From Trader Joe’s - our staples-Organic unsweetened apple sauce, organic tomatillo salsa, organic olive oil wraps, applewood smoke bacon, etc. we too like the organic peanut butter salt free.
Many gargantuan thank yous’ for this video! I use many of these healthy products! My mom made salmon & eggs for breakfast/supper when I was a kid. Always enjoy your clear videos!!! Ahna. Atlanta Ga.
Dani, you did it again. You gave me great ideas. I love my local trader joes I love the frozen brown rice, the seaweed snacks an the frozen pot stickers. All excellent choices at affordable prices.
I love the Everything But The Bagel Seasoning; I buy at least two each trip. I use it when steaming fresh green beans, or roasting broccoli, on top of a baked potato and on avocado toast as you mentioned. Thank you for sharing.
Hi Dani, this was so fantastic! I live about 5 minutes away from a Trader Joe's in Edgewater, New Jersey. It is small, but I like that as I do have a bit of social anxiety. I have been in the Trader Joe's 2 * since I started following you about a year ago. I love when you do videos like this as I can go into the Trader Joe's with staples that I wish to buy. It is such a help because I can feel overwhelmed at all the wonderful products they have. I too love the giant chocolate bars. I buy the dark chocolate as I like that it has the 72%. I agree with you that it is wonderful for baking, and it melts so beautifully. I recently purchased several of their dried fruits and I love them. To me they are not as sweet as some of the dried fruits that I have tried. I made a recipe for some healthy cookies and decided to use the dried oranges. They were a big hit! I love that they have so many varieties of dried fruit also. They also have some good sales on Fresh Produce and I have found that it last longer then at other stores. Thank you for doing this video and for not only showing us your Staples, but for giving us ideas about what we might like as Staples and how to use the Staples. I remember I used to buy canned salmon when I was a teen. Now I am very excited and I love the examples of ways that you mentioned to use it. Also one day I will go to the big Trader Joe's I think it is in Paramus. Again as always thank you so much and sorry for my long comments. Lots of love and gratitude 😊❤❤
Edgewater is my store, too. I never think of it as a small store. Is it that much smaller than Paramus? Anyway, whatever, big Trader fan here, too, Kelly!
Hi Marge! 😊. I have heard that the Paramus store is very large. I like the Trader Joe's in Edgewater. I have a bit of social phobia so any store is a bit scary at first for me LOL. I enjoy the Trader Joe's in Edgewater. When I've been there, I am able to find what I am looking for, like the dark chocolate bars Dani shows us. I also feel that they have some great values on their fresh produce which in my opinion is really good quality. I guess I was just feeling oh, well letting others tell me what was best. Thank you so much for reaching out not only did it make me feel good and part of something. But you showed me I should just follow my own heart. Thank you so much Marg! You are a very caring person. Maybe we will bump into each other at the Trader Joe's in Edgewater!😊❤🙋
@@kellyoconnor1035Hi Kelly, I've been to the Paramus many times over the years and I think, yeah, it might be bigger than Edgewater. I love the coffee that they always have available and of course the samples. The vibe of the store is so great. Yeah, the produce is good. I bought tofu there on the last trip and will buy again. A great place! Would be fun to bump into you!
@@marge201 hi Marge! Thanks for writing to me again!😊 I really appreciated you giving me a Vibe for the Paramus store. It does sound very nice and I do hope to get there one day. I would also love to bump into you at the Edgewater store or the Paramus store! I am really hoping to make it there before the end of March. It is actually one of my goals. Thank you so much Marge as I never really openly talk about my social phobia. You are such a kind person. ❤Thank you for not making me feel strange or like some kind of weirdo.🙋♀️ now I also have a nice thought to keep in my head when I do make it to Edgewater or possibly Paramus that a lovely woman named Marge just might be browsing around.🤗
And the dates with almond butter- OMG!!!! Yes!!! Thank you for sharing, I’ve been having it almost every week and yes 100% satisfies my sweet tooth and I don’t eat candy or cookies!!!!
This is so helpful as Trader Joe’s is only a few minutes away and I bike there almost daily in summer. They also say that all their foods are GMO free so I am making effort to buy more and more of my groceries from them. More of this type of video would be helpful. Thanks so much!
I like a lot of things from trader joe's, I'll mention one here its the gnocchi...they're under two bucks and yeah there's some wheat in there but its what I use as a side or snack instead of pasta. Fresh fennel, olive oil, garlic and a small amount of pecorino romano.
the trader joe olives also has vinegar which is fermented grapes and grapes aare hi in sugar, but once fermebted the resultant vinegar is pretty much zero sugar, possy the glucose has also been used up by fermentation
You are definitely THE BEST on UA-cam! Regarding Kalamata olives, I get mine at Costco. The ingredients are Kalamata olives, water, red wine vinegar, sea salt, extra-virgin olive oil. And the brine is delicious. I often use it to flavor other meals or salads. We are Ezekiel fans, too. My husband LOVES the cinnamon raisin English muffins, and he has one (or two) every day.
Dani, thank you so much for this video!! I appreciate all of the tips (especially the one about the coconut milk-blending it up and storing in a mason jar)!!!🙂
Trader Joe garlic aioli and wild-caught no-salt sardines packed in water, I have multiple in the house at all times. The aioli is perfect when something needs oomph and it never disappoints. Also pistachios. I buy a bag of no-salt, a bag of raw no salt, and a bag of 50% less salt, throw them all in a big cloth bag and it takes me a few months to go through all 3 pounds of pistachios. If I'm weak, I buy the sliced yogurt cheese which I love. I never buy the Ezekial bread because I don't trust myself. It will call out to me and I'll finish it in a week and bust out of my size 4s. I buy everything you mention except the rice pasta. I'd rather make a grain salad (farro, spelt, wheat berries with sardines and veggies). Dani, you're fabulous! Your chocolate zucchini snack cake is still my favorite and most made treat ever. I think I've made it 12 times!
I like I usually pick organic Persian cucumbers , organic mixed herbal salad , organic avocado , organic red onion, and organic cherry tomatoes when I shop at trader joe. It is my daily lunch ............. . By the way I love your video . It is simple and healthy !
One of our FAVS is the JUST MANGO, in the dried fruit section. Also, their Organic Bourbon Vanilla Extract. I think it is your best bang for the buck and quality .
I bought the Seaweed Snacks & my kids hated them, but I have a Siberian Husky & he LOVES them! I love your tip on how your kids eat them @ lunch. I love TJ's Everything Seasoning Grinder & Lemon Pepper Grinder. I buy them in multiples and have even gifted them to friends & family who dont have a TJ near them!
Love your selections and the way that you serve them. I always buy cheeses, tuna, butter, capers, pot stickers, treats for the dog. Thing about dipping some dried apricots in that dark chocolate. Thanks for sharing, you are very enthusiastic and contagious!
My closest trader Joe's is over a hour away but we do manage to go every other month or so. I have so many favorites but my must haves are the organic Superfruit spread, it's like preserves but no sugar in it. Dip a little piece of your dark chocolate in it OH MY GOSH! Nut butters, cheeses, the peanutbutter puffs....so yummy! The baby avocados, the mandarin orange chicken, 21 seasoning salute and the everything bagel (which is very good sprinkled on cucumber slices too) marcona almonds with rosemary, the wines they offer, hummus, the organic pasta sauce and the salsas , etc .......😋😋😋😋😋
I cannot tell you how much I enjoy watching your videos. Always great content and your personality is icing on the cake! Thanks for all you do! I am always inspired to improve our diet and get great ideas from you. Big thumbs up!!
Thank you for being honest about the olives and it’s ingredients. I still don’t mind personally. I used to live in apartments next to a Trader Joe’s and never fully took advantage of it. I live a bit further from it now but I am definitely going to make more trips to that store. I love coconut milk as well!! I discovered it when we found out my son was allergic to dairy and I was desperate to find something that works to make food creamy without the dairy. I’ve used it to make pancakes and makes the most buttery tasting pancakes by far. Now I always have coconut milk cans in my pantry bc I love the flavor myself. Thanks for the tips!!
Dani, Trader Joes has fresh wild caught Soceye salmon in the fridge section for $11 a lb, its the best price I've seen in stores so far. But I like the canned tip if you are on the go.
In the olives this is a way for TJ to add sugar without listing it as sugar. Sneaky. Thx for mentioning storing suggestions such as the coconut milk!! Always need those tips! Always buy TJ canned salmon love love yr a great cook! Yr family is so lucky🌹 you can buy a 12 pack of seeweed snacks at an Asian market for way less than TJ BTW if you love those! Good for the thyroid too
It's possible the glucose is added to the brine, and it might be so shall that it doesn't effect the total carbohydrate of the product. Olives are also considered fruit, so they are natural carbs. (Food science and Nutrition Student) 😊
Heather Thomas I am re-taking my science classes bc I wanna go back to school and I graduated my undergrad nearly 10 yrs ago, so my science classes "expired." My anatomy and physiology professor really emphasized that glucose is the most important sugar we need for energy and brain function, and that "sugar-free diets" are not necessary (unless you're avoiding refined sugar). Same thing was said in my bio, a&p, and food and nutrition courses 10 yrs ago, from the basic introductory chapters. Glucose is important!
I just went to Trader Joes today. It's a far drive so I don't go often but I'm so glad you mentioned the olives with glucose! I found a similar jar of olives but it's for Jumbo Greek kalamata olives and it doesn't have glucose. Go figure! As for Everything But the Bagel seasoning, I put it on my salads! I really enjoy your channel-thank you!
Hi Dani, I have a suggestion for your snack seaweed wraps you should try the Kirkland from Costco they are the cleanest ones I could find in the market and great price, I loved it.
I loved this video Dani! My TJ's is about 35 min away so when I go, I stock up. It was fun getting some new ideas from you. I love the EBTB seasoning on hard boiled eggs, avocado toast, or to jazz up some plain hummus. I also always have at least one pound plus bar in the pantry. You got me hooked on that a few years ago. You really can't beat the quality for the price point!
I love this video, thank you. You made the comment that you drink the protein coffee before going to the gym, it made me think I would love to see your daily work out routine... I am having trouble finding time between work and kids to get my work out in. Thank you!~ Kate
Love your Trader Joe's healthy staple items. Re Everything Bagel seasoning .... finally someone else other than I feels that the salt is a little too much. Still love it 😍
I love that canned salmon! I use it frequently in my onigiri (little rice balls). I just mix up the salmon with a touch of homemade mayo, add in some furikake seasoning (or Everything But the Bagel Seasoning when I’m out). Then I scoop up a spoon of that and pop it into a flattened rice patty and roll the rice up around the salmon (either a ball or the traditional triangular shape). Wrap that with some cut up nori sheets. Ta-da! An easy dinner that takes no more than 5 minutes :) delicious, filling, and great for the picky eaters in my house
Everything bagel seasoning (I have a different brand) is yummy in salmon burgers. Got the idea from Rachael Ray although she ground up fresh salmon. I am with you, I love the convenience of canned salmon,
Hi Dani thanks for sharing your 10 healthiest go to staples. we do not have a Trader Joe's but our store does carry Organic and Vegan options. Some of your staples are our staples
@@CleanandDeliciousDani We live 30 minutes east of Cambridge Ohio 2 hours from Columbus, Ohio and 5 hours north east of Cincinnati. we live out in the country not near any big stores.
So incredibly helpful! Thank you! I have a Safeway AND an Albertsons within walking distance from my home...I don't go to either of them. Ever. I drive all the way across town to the Trader Joe's because I am obsessed with their delicious food. My pantry looks very similar to yours--I always have the brown rice pasta and the kalamata olives. Also, I love all their dried fruits but I am currently loving the golden berry mix. YUM!!!
Hi Dani, I realized I used to watch your videos way back when you were in your old kitchen and even followed a number of your recipes. But for some reason, never realized that I didn’t subscribe!! 😭 anyway, I’m a subbie now and so glad that i found you again 😊😊
Thanks for sharing your favorite TJ staples with us! I love seeing what others are eating. My favorite staples from TJ are nut butters, cocao nibs, the dark chocolate bars, just mango slices, tri-colored quinoa, feta cheese, any sprouted bread, and the beloved mandarin orange chicken (I don't eat it but I have two 'hungry all the time' high school boys that love it). Looking forward to trying some of your favorites. Thanks again for sharing!
Hi Dani I am a big fan off your videos, I loved the one you did with your daughter this past Christmas was lovely and she is just exactly mom yesterday I will love a best by for your home from Costco....thank you and keep sharing 👍👏🤩
I am enjoying your videos so much!!! Helpful and inspiring! I always keep TJ Marinara and/or their roasted diced tomatoes on hand. I also always have their lentils and quinoa in my pantry. Oh, and the pistachios, and the Romesco in the deli section! I just love TJs cause it makes healthy eating easier!
Try blending up dates, tahini, and cocoa powder! Sometimes I eat that alone or spread on apple slices. Thank me and hate me at the same time lol, so good.
Love your videos and recipes. What about top good foods for someone watching their blood sugar (prediabetic)? For grocery, pantry haul, what about Whole Foods, Aldi, or Krogers/etc.?
I always have at least one nut butter, Ezekiel bread (buy frozen and keep frozen), & almonds. + coconut oil I might try the seaweed (never had it). I would also like to start using canned salmon again...been awhile. As someone mentioned below, I would like some of your canned salmon recipe ideas.
Hi Dani, I love your focus on clean eating and balance. I've been a follower of yours for years and regularly make your recipes. I wpuld really love to see an inclusion of green. By that I mean ways to reduce packaging and unnecessary plastics as part of clean living. Please and thank you!
I LOVE their “just a handful of” almonds packs. It’s sometimes easy for me to absently nosh on nuts, and even though they’re a good wholesome snack, they’re really nutrient dense and it can be easy to get carried away. So I like the prepackaged ones. :)
Clean & Delicious also their omega trek mix is awesome. It’s got a mix of nuts and dried fruit that’s high in omega 3’s, and it’s pretty low in sugar for trail mix. I could go on and on, love TJ’s 😂
Really enjoy all your Clean and Delicious videos but TJ's are my favorite as I frequently learn about products I've never used. Thanks! My tip regarding TJ's seeds and nuts is to store in your pantry in mason jars with metal lids but I use a Food Saver which I received years ago with the mason jar attachment which then vacuum seals the jars easily. This process increases storage up to two years with ultimate freshness. Jars can be reseated easily until next use. I used to use a second frig- freezer in our garage for food storage but stopped using to reduce energy consumption so need to store only essentials in my single freezer. Oh, did you know Trader Joes has TJ Insider podcasts and most recent one disspcussed their current initiative to reduce packaging esp. plastics.....it's excellent!
I can’t believe I just now discovered this channel I’m obsessed
A video compilation of canned salmon recipes would be awesome!
Amy D yes! I don’t know what to really do with it. It’s not a meat I’ve cooked or prepared so that would be cool if she made videos with it.
Amy D salmon and onion quiche is one of my favs
Yes recipes
Can you make a video of what you pack for your kids lunches. I’m loving your recipes. They are so good. I don’t even feel like I’m eating healthy.
The remaining 193,000 subscribers .. what are ya waiting for??? 1M subscribers for Dani! LETS GO!
Haha!! YES!!! let's do this. (thank you!!)
That coconut milk hack was life-changing🙌🏼✨💕✨
Right, why didn't I think of that??
Love, love, love Trader Joe. My staples are nut butter, olive oil, Everything bagel seasoning, cacao nibs, steel cut oatmeal, plantain chips, sundried tomatoes, and nuts. There are probably a few more but these are my favs. Thanks for sharing...I have some new ideas to add to my grocery list!
I love those plantain chips too... so good!
I put the seasoning on scrambled eggs. But I also use it lightly

Dani, Trader Joes has fresh wild caught Soceye salmon in the fridge section for $11 a lb, its the best price I've seen in stores so far. But I like the canned tip if you are on the go.
It's 9.99/lb at Costco
I use the bagel seasonings in my stir fry meals.
Great idea!!
It will also work great with all of your bak chop recipes that you have shared.@@CleanandDeliciousDani
Good for the thyroid too
I use in overnight oatmeal to reconstitute or in baking
Thx! 👍🏼
Could you make a video of how to make your canned salmon and spinach pasta? 🙂
Other discoveries from my trip today: Vegan Kale, Cashew & Basil Pesto and the Cauliflower Gnocchi!
I'm so sad about my olives, lol! I love them ... I gotta try the other ones and see if they are as delish.
Hi Dani, I have a suggestion for your snack seaweed wraps you should try the Kirkland from Costco they are the cleanest ones I could find in the market and great price, I loved it.
I love the unsweetened almond and cashew butters from Trader Joe's! 😊
ME too!!
I enjoy EBTB sprinkled on popcorn or sprinkled into Greek yogurt; for a tasty veggie dip.
Love TJs. Looking forward to seeing more meal prep videos..
I love them too! And I hear you.... there will be more to come :)
Agreed! And LOVE the idea of adding the EBTB on hummus. So smart!
Would love to see yr kitchen layout love yr channel
I love this video, thank you. You made the comment that you drink the protein coffee before going to the gym, it made me think I would love to see your daily work out routine... I am having trouble finding time between work and kids to get my work out in.
Thank you!~ Kate
You have the best videos, i make alot of your recipes and shop for alot of the products you recommend. Thank you !!
Love your Trader Joe's healthy staple items.
Re Everything Bagel seasoning .... finally someone else other than I feels that the salt is a little too much. Still love it 😍
Other TJs go-tos: maple syrup, grade b dark. Roasted Red pepper spread& olive tapenade. Red curry sauce. Frozen veges.
Brilliant!! I am definitely going to try this. Thank you for sharing.
Where do you live Cathy? Always curious about TJ locations.
@@CleanandDeliciousDani We live 30 minutes east of Cambridge Ohio 2 hours from Columbus, Ohio and 5 hours north east of Cincinnati. we live out in the country not near any big stores.
ah! Makes sense.... thanks for sharing.
If you have a Aldi near you, they have a lot of really good organic products cheap
YUM!!!
Random question! What brand of toaster do you have in the background? Thanks!
So love your videos! Also like shopping at TJ’s!
We are in Calgary Canada...can you do this same list sourced from stores we have up here (Costco, Safeway, etc)
I love it on avocado toast. I need that chocolate bar.
Everybody needs that chocolate bar.
GREAT tip! Thanks for sharing.
Clean & Delicious also their omega trek mix is awesome. It’s got a mix of nuts and dried fruit that’s high in omega 3’s, and it’s pretty low in sugar for trail mix. I could go on and on, love TJ’s 😂
I mix the season mix with my salad dressing before pouring on my salad....
