- Time for my second ever healthy grocery haul..this time we headed to Trader Joe's to show you guys 10 of my favorite healthy items to buy..and what to avoid. We got through most of the video until the manager asked us to leave, but luckily there was another Trader Joe's 10 minutes away! I love Trader Joe's, they have lots of healthy grocery items that make this haul fantastic, and some of the prices can't be beat. But, they also have items that you may think are healthy, but they really are not, and sometimes the prices at trader joe's are not nearly the best. This trader joe's haul contains a number of shelf stable pantry items you should have on hand at all times, and some stuff to keep in the freezer, like the unsweetened acai packets. @FlavCity with Bobby Parrish : I was just wondering...are you filming there in Trader Joes with an actual "camera" or are you using a cell phone? I saw another vlogger do this and the Dollar Tree threw her out and she asked the manager there why they didn't make the other customers leave who were using their cell phones to record what they wanted? The manager's reply to her was, "We cannot tell people what to do with their cell phones, but we cannot allow actual "cameras" in here". What are your thoughts on this???

I love how graceful u handled being expelled from Trader Joe's and how kind of the employee to comment that he knows your intentions are good.
As a college student Trader Joe’s is so nice if you’re broke. Their salads have saved my life for as little as 2.59 each salad bowl and they are so fresh! 🥗 and their pasta is .99 cents. Most of their veggies are very inexpensive too. Our budget for both my boyfriend and I for 1 week is 35 dollars. They also have chicken legs pack for 2 dollars. Also check the 1 pound of ground turkey for 2.69 😻 (as you can see if it costs over 3 dollars we don’t buy it Hahahah) for coconut milk Dollar Tree has each can for a dollar 😊
I love putting cream cheese on the Norwegian crisp bread and sprinkling everything but the bagel seasoning on it. It’s like a bagel fix but for like 4 carbs.

I wonder why they don't let people film in the store. It never made any sense to me. You guys are actually doing them a favor and getting them business when you talk about what to buy. Great video.

It is because shoppers have a right to privacy when they shop, and so do employees. There are a lot of reasons for these policies.

365 Whole Foods tahini is not good quality either.. Lebanese and Palestinian brands are far better than the Israeli and Greek tahini's. Makes sense cuz that's where hummus originated :)
Can usually find some good ones at your local middle eastern store or even at Walmart. Tahini is also the base for 'halvah' which is frickin DELICIOUS if you haven't had it! Pick some of that up if you're at a Middle Eastern food shop

FREE TO FAMILY Probably because other shoppers don't want to be in youtube videos with thousands of views without consent. Did he get releases for all of the people in the background walking by? Probably not. Was he polite and did he blur out faces? Nope!

i work at trader joes the spices dont sit on the shelves for "months and months" they usually sell out and are replaced with new ones within a couple of days if not less than a few hours after they're put on the shelves
that may be the cast at trader joes..but not all places..and the price is not great there
@@BobbyParrish also...we don't know how long it sits in a warehouse before being shipped to the store... I order cheap spices from a truly organic farm in Washington that mainly sells herbs. I do pay extra for shipping but at least I know the source and it is shipped very fresh:)
Tell the person writing the grocery order to order more for the shelf and have some in the backstock. So when you guys stage the backstock before you guys leave for the night, wala it will be on the shelf once again for the next recipes to be made. Than you won't have any upset customers talking to your Captain at the pit!

I instantly recognized that this is my favorite TJ's on Lincoln.
And recognized that they finished the video at the one of the unfriendly TJs that annoyingly takes your cart after your purchase ("I want that my cart to carry these heavy items to my car - get wheel locks if you don't want them stolen")
Sidenote: After 3 bad experiences, I will never again buy perishables at the TJs in Evanston
That avocado oil(same brand, cold pressed) can be found also at TJ max, Marshall’s and home goods for about 5.99 or less. Just a tip😊

Red Boat fish sauce is one of the most coveted brands of the Asian community. I was surprised (and pleased) to see it at TJ’s!

Thanks for Th’s Açaí tip I had to give up a lot of foods because these companies love their sugar. I have the same container of sugar I bought 8 years ago when moved here. I just don’t add it to anything. Last years I grew a stevia plant and I’ll be growing more this year

From an old retired English teacher who can't lay down the habit - if it's countable say fewer, but if it's not countable, say less. Example - This recipe has less milk, so it has fewer calories. Or this example - Since I used fewer tablespoons of milk in this recipe, it has less liquid. In this sentence, it's the quantity of tablespoons that are being counted, not the amount of milk. Since tablespoons are countable, fewer is the correct choice.

Everythng seasoning is good as a hummus too. I make both from scratch. Ingredients for seasoning I get at bulk barn so you get just the amount you need. Yummmm

Ohhhhh yes please, because their prices can be crazy! They have an app though and they just sent me a coupon for crazy cheap coconut water, so you can find some deals n rarities in their. Their frozen section is DA 💣 if you are strict paleo. They have these Mikey's Pizza Pockets that are grain and dairy-free... 🤤
I think the produce and bulk sections are well priced. You have to compare everything else. They're eggs are expensive, especially.

Hi Bobby, hello from Dallas, Tx! Just found your channel yesterday afternoon & I'm so glad I did! The timing couldn't have been better. In the New Year my resolutions like so many others are to lose weight, eat healthier, cook more at home, & try Keto. My husband lost 20lb last spring on it & kept it off. I however have never tried it personally & know if I were doing it also he'd want to do it again & be more successful with my support too. Besides weight loss, I think eating a low-carb diet in general is something everyone should focus on. Thanks for sharing your comparison shopping knowledge & making us more awaare of the many ingredients in food that shouldn't be, & to be weary even if the label appears healthy. Again, that's something everyone can benefit from too. I'd like to see a haul video from Wal-Mart or whole foods. Your Aldi & Costco ones were great! Can't wait to try some of your recipes soon. Love your videos. You might want to note that buying oils (such as avocado, grapeseed, olive....) it is best to buy in glass, rather than the more available plastic; also darkened glass is better to protect from light.

The only place I've found that beats Trader Joe's on macadamia nuts is publix , you get more for the price at publix but other than that Trader Joe's beats it on everything else

If you're going to be vegan, be vegan and live with it. Too many people think they're being healthier by being vegan, and then loading up on heavily processed "vegan" foods and desserts that profess to be something they aren't. Buy farm produce if you can (some people can't afford it), free range farm eggs if you can, avoid foods with many unpronounceable ingredients, take a walk or get moving a bit at least three times a week, and the rest is the luck of the draw. None of us gets out of here alive.

I shop @ Trader Joe's, Whole Foods, Costco, Sam's and WinCo every morning in Northern CA. Trader Joe's is such a happy/friendly place.

I doubt the spices at trader joes aren't fresh considering they're always selling out of everything and they stock product every single day. I think the supply and demand is too high for them to have old stuff.
Whenever I eat vegan food for 3-7 days due to religious reason, always make my own tofu from soybean and lime juice. The meatless, meat immitation stuff have a lot of questionable ingredients in there. I dont know if they are bad for me or not but I refuse to eat stuff I cant pronounce 😁.

Watch how much tofu you consume because my friend ended up with horrific thyroid problems because of daily consumption of soy products. Especially concerning if you're female.
Mind you, I absolutely love tofu myself but only let myself have it on special occasions, once a month or less.

100% grass fed is better..grass is better than corn fed

It simply means the cows are fed organic feeds ... not specifying what the feeds is ... could be organic grains, organic corn, etc.
