Little update for you on my college. So we've been at college I've been commuting everyday and I've been running equipment. John Deere 650 dozer with limb risers, Cat D4H sounds awesome as well, komatsu d41e dozer, and see backhoes. No skidders sadly though. But I'm enjoying every second of it
Wade it looks like your running bias ply tires. Have you tried radials? On our farm bias are for yard tractors and the hard workers and pullers get radials. The clean out faster and pull better.

But was told it’s not good for the machine. And that your suppose to throw it in neatural every time you rev up to run the arch or whatever. Never could stop using the clutch peddle. I noticed you use it. What is your take on that??!! Would help out my conscience! Haha thanks tater
Hey bud you know u can put chains on the two front tires and u wouldent have so much trouble spining becouse chains dig down and find dry ground and they help you get good traction ive put alot of miles on a skidder with chains and didnt get stuck at all

They suck on ice that’s why we run diamond chains up here in Maine but ring chains work awesome in mud and steep terrain (except ice ring chains suck on ice). It just seems they might help you in that terrain?????
Great video wade I been having some trouble with hydraulics on my 548e hyds were slow so and lacked power so I got new pump hyd power seem to come back and got a little quicker but not great and hyds seem to be getting hot I also had control valve rebuilt, any ideas it's getting expensive throwing parts at it

Why would you not drag a top and chop it up in that slop in stead of fighting with the slop? I don't understand why you would keep pulling logs into a mud pit.

I realize that you did not make this video just for me. However, your PIP would be better seen by placing it in the bottom right side viewer view. There is almost zero activity going on in this area so the viewer could see more background activity and it should be a more enjoyable experience. As is, the brain is forced to process conflicting background activity. IMHO :-)

Caught myself rocking in my chair trying to get that skidder to move. We have chains on all 4 here in Idaho.

We used to run chains on the front, makes a big difference.

Best sounding skidders out there! We got a g2, g3, 748h, 648l. The l is a let down when comes to that deere snappyness but its comfy lol

when your slipping and sliding in a area like that, would 1 pair of chains help you move

That Deere isn’t running very fast. The 648 reminds me of the little engine that could. In big timer that’s what happens though. Love the noise.
She sounds just like a 7020 JD hooked to a 10 shank chisel plow hitting bottom. Grunting, groaning and grumpy as hell but getting it done.
Do you have trouble with axles? We used them teammate 2 axles in our underground equip. Rebuilt several.
Is that a low hp skidder or is just down on hp's because it seems it's having a hard time.

Could be a relief Carthage sticking start it up cold and use a heat gun to trace
Check ur oil cooler and it's possible ur control valves are bypassing. I have been there with both of my 648,s.
