I have come back to the church after being gone over 25 years. I never knew very much when I was young. I was newly married and stuck in nursery…. In my heart I’ve always known the church was true but I had to come back on my own. I started to a few years ago. The last two years I have been back full time and have my temple recommend back. I have never learned so much and loved and understood my scriptures the way I do now thanks to both of you. I went out and bought a good set of markers for my scriptures and you can see such a difference between the time I started to use them and seriously study and not just read them. Thanks to both of you. You have changed my life completely. I’m going to be making huge changes in my life soon so that I can focus on serving the Lord the rest of my life. Hopefully a mission as an adult in a Spanish speaking area in an office or something as well as taking more classes on theology through Pathways. You have no idea what a blessing you’ve been to me. Thank you!❤

I taught Revelation in Gospel Doctrine once and it was not easy. This video is so helpful to me! It's actually a bit mind-blowing to think of John, Nephi, and Joseph Smith all having a similar understanding of the grand plan and that it's not as mysterious as it appears: God wins. Satan loses. Don't get caught up in the mysteries. Stick with the first principles and ordinances of the Gospel.
Also, I especially loved the Line Upon Line video for this week. I like to watch those first, then this. It really helps me to understand things better!

Thank you Bro Griffin and Bro Halverson for this presentation. The context is absolutely amazing and so insightful. Wow, I'm totally blown away by the beautiful insights and learning. I love the discussion by Bro Griffin on how to approach the book of revelations. Explaining it that way makes it much more approachable. That explanation is absolute genius.
I love the comparison Bro Halverson gave about identifying when God speaks in the biblical times to today. That is so true, Wow. Society is generally not used to or comfortable with the quiet. Especially if one is not accustomed to it. I was blown away by that information.
I love all the background information about John, Wow! It really does help to know the environment and mindset the book was written in.
Thank you so much and thank you to the amazing team at SC ❤.

Clarence is depicted as a star when he is asked to be George Bailey's guardian angel. And your close struck me as the central theme--our lives have impact in ways we don't understand--of the movie and the gospel. God wins. Satan loses.

It seems that the only way to understand John’s book, at least on the scale he wanted, is to adopt an LDS perspective. I’ve read over 40 teachings which correlate with the Restoration and teachings ascribed to Joseph. Once the metaphors are seen, you can’t unsee them.

Just to add a thought, also a horn was used like a trumpet sound when a king of a nation was about to conquer another.
Revelation points to that time when the king of kings will come and conquer evil and all nations will bow to him.

I have always thought that the phrase "He that overcometh" in these verses referred to those that overcome through Christ and not specifically to Christ himself as it sites promises to those that overcome. are we missing something marvelous in verse 1 of chapter 1. This is a revelation given by the Father to Jesus Christ. Jesus in turn vested an angel with power to give the revelation to John. Divine investiture on three levels-the Father to the Son, the Son to an angel, and the angel to John. (I paused you before you explained it more).

I would add some things for clarification.
At around 00:21:45, you started talking about the significance of the number 7.
At 00:28:04, you make reference to us being made kings and priests. But according
to Doctrine and Covenants 76:54-70, this is only for those in the church of the
Firstborn - the gods and goddesses.
At 1:22:00 you talked about Revelation 5:6 but you skipped making a reference to
the significance of the number 7. Instead, you briefly say that Joseph Smith
    changed the number to 12.
Seven horns, eyes, and the seven Spirits are changed to twelve horns, twelve eyes,
    and twelve servants.
This is not in any of the Greek manuscripts.
