For a "PC replacement", the Lenovo Go is a far better solution. I fact I am using mine right now as a PC. I have a Samsung M5 43" monitor with a USB-C connector that provides power to the Go and the monitor has USB hub that connects all my keyboard, mouse, audio, etc so it is just a single cable connection to the GO. Also if you want you can have the Windows 11 auto login and auto launch Steam Big Picture view if you like. I opened mine up and upgraded the drive to a 2TB one and added a 1TB SD card. I also have Macrium setup to launch during the boot phase so I can restore a backup if I completely hose the OS with an update or something.
Thats Awesome ! the legion go is most definitely one of the best handhelds. have you given another operating system a chance ? like steams OS (linux) to improve upon the legions?
the storage upgrade is something I want to try as well !
Price to performance, I can only afford the steam deck haha.

@@twoBitTech I have thought about it. I run ChromeOS Flex on a couple of Dell compute sticks for my big screen TVs since I mostly watch videos on various platforms and such. I have loaded and used various distros of Linux. I would worry about driver optimization and the added features of the Go. They just made a major update to the Legion Space.
I love my steam deck, but I haven't touched it since I bought my series s a week ago.

The steamdeck is nice. It hasnt replaced my laptop or series X though.
yeah its tough for a handheld to completely replace a laptop or PC given its limitations but its definitely a very good alternative!
@twoBitTech yeah, I feel like if Valve improves software compatibility, I could see it as an alternative for my laptop. Rumor is valve is working on Android app support, which would be huge if they could get chromebook equivalent compatibility to Google play.

steam is pretty helpful and forgiving ! i bought a full price game and the next day it went on sale, so i tried my luck and they gave me the difference back into my wallet. they didnt need to do that but they did and thats pretty awesome
@@twoBitTech Keep in mind, Steam is only able to do this because they aren't a publicly traded company. They can do whatever they want and it shows! I bet the stem deck wouldn't be such a killer if they had shareholder they had to please.
