I love the way you review books! It’s the perfect blend of personal opinions and objective facts about the book and it really gives me a good idea if I’m going to like it or not (regardless of if you liked it). My favorite book that I read in July was the Bride Test and the book that did not work for me at all was The City of Dusk
I'm actually reading We Hunt the Flame now because you've been hyping it up so much, and even though I'm only 15% in, I'm really enjoying it and I hoping it'll become one of my new favorite books!
July was def my fav reading month so far and I found my top 3 of the year so far. Anxious People, Seven Days in June, and Under the Whispering Door. I also had a really good nonfiction read Women, Race, Class!
I totally agree with your review on They Never Learn. Like how are you going to kill someone for having an affair with a student while you are also having an affair with a student. It was so hypocritical make it make sense 😭😭
I read 5 books in July, 2 were re reads and the other 3 first time reading them. My re reads were: marriage for one (4.5) and crown of midnight (4) My first time reads were: faking with benefits (4.5), twisted lies (4.5) and Klara and the sun which I unfortunately didn’t end up loving (2.75) but hey I found 2 new authors and I shall read everything they write, Ana Huang and Lily Gold, Ana wrote twisted lies and Lily wrote faking with benefits 😁☺️
I read 17 books in july my favorite reads in July are Pride and prejudice by jane Austen Kaikeyi by vaishnavi Patel The coward by Stephen aryan Sycamore row by john Grisham sequel to a time to kill
In July I got married and then for covid after; so my reading did not go great, but August so far has been so much better, I’ve already read 3 books and they were both 5 stars!
I read 4 books in July (one of which I DNF'ed). The first book was Tryst Six Venom. DNF'ed it. Second book was The War Of Two Queens. Loved it so much, 5/5. Third book was Bittersweet: How Sorrow And Longing Can Make Us Whole. Very interesting and good read, a 4/5. And the final book was Heir of Fire. Loved it, 5/5!!!
🌊 I love your reviews so much! Every book you love I want to read because you sold them so well!! My standouts from July were definitely Empire of Storms (1st time reading through the series) and Bridge of Souls. Cheers to another theater person! You’re singing was beautiful btw 💚
i was actually really disappointed by we hunt the flame (idk why i thought i'd pick up a quest story book when i don't really like quest stories -- not great thinking on my part) but i'm so glad you enjoyed it! it was one of those books that i wanted to love sm and it didn't end up working out for me i didn't really connect with zafira or nasir, but i LOVED altair!!! if the entire book was in his pov i think i would have loved it sooooooo much more 💖
i managed to read 14 books in july, with 10 of them being 5 stars! super successful reading month, but it definitely put me in a reading slump lol. hopefully, i feel like reading soon so i can get started on warbreaker :p 🌊
july was a slow reading month for me i read a duology called "these witches dont burn" and the sequel is called "this coven wont break " they were absolutley amazing and i would highly recomend!
My favorite read for July was the last installment to the steelheart trilogy by Brandon Sanderson Calamity. I really loved it 😍 and I read 14 books for the month of July it was an awesome reading month for me. 🌊
I read 5 books in July, it was an ok month. But I found 2 new favourites which kind of contradicts what I said lol. Mel please try the books: A Man Called Ove , and Seven Days in June!
We hunt the flame reminded me a little bit of Rosemarked by livia blackburne is also an “enemy” to lovers story also a slow burn and the plot and the writing were 👌🏻👌🏻 I listen to the audio book and really loved it and I hope you could give it a try cause I think is underrated and would love to know what you think about it ☺️☺️
I recently read a slow burn fantasy romance I absolutely fell in love with... so when you just said We Hunt the Flame was slow burn it just shot up on my tbr 💖
Just wondering, do you have a podcast? If you do could you direct me to where I can find. If not, you definitely should start one because your voice and explanations of everything about each book is so satisfying and easy to listen to. I would 100% support and listen throughout my daily life!!
Not me pausing the video on good shot of Mel's nails to take a picture to show my nail tech 😂🌊🌊🌊love the videos and nails girl!! Can't wait until you drop your next vlog, I truly love them 💛
I 100% agree with your thoughts on love and other words!! I think the characters got so annoying towards the end and I absolutely hated how the situation that tore macy and elliott apart was addressed…..
Definitely pick up a book called The Bookeaters by Sunyi Dean. It is a debut but my goodness what a debut, it is bloody amazing and I need a sequel already
@melreads can you please have a time lapse for each book. It would help because say we read the title in the description. We can then go back to your video or click on the specific book that I'd like a review on
I loved They Never Learn 😂😂 I actually had COVID in July. Didn’t love that 🤪 BUT I finally read Priory while I was sick and I’m completely obsessed 🥳🥳🥳 🌊🌊🌊

Have you ever read hunger games? I NEED to know your thoughts on the trilogy 💕💕💕
Same, I’m debating on whether I should read it, I feel that it’s a bit too late now to get into them lol
@@thebookbro3805 I read them 3 years ago and they were the best. You should try them.
i started reading the series back in 2012 and loved every second of it! went through a big obsession phase with catching fire😂
