Your presentation ideas, the amount of work and the general feeling of these videos is a work of art. I mean from the colors to the plushes, the transitions, the stop motion, the narration, etc., everything is both impressing and soothing. Great, great work.
Thank you so much, we're really happy you enjoy it!
Exactly my thoughts! The part with the paint roller and the ‘steps’ being copied. Brilliant and very impressed by the efforts. Hope many people pick up on that!
Completely agree. Really imaginative and educational stuff without the need to be 'funny'. Superb channel.
Completely agree, precious
For real. Having worked on stop-motion stuff before, I know enough to know I can't even imagine how much work this video was
that chaining joke at the end absolutely sent me!
These tutorial videos are amazing.

Yo your editing is sick. Such an underrated channel. See you in a year when you've reached 100k subs or even more.
impressive indeed
Criminally underrated channel! Professional level of quality, I can only imagine the amount of work that must go in to each and every video.
Drums are probably the area where my music needs the most amount of work, so I really appreciate the guidance that you are providing. Thank you for making the learning curve smaller with each video. Cheers
What a treasure i've stumbled upon! Unbelievable how Algorithm sometimes gives me these recommendations out of the blue! I'm more into base, but drums are the heartbeat of the music, so it still is hugely awesome to me
The production quality of your videos are extraordinary!
Great explanation and especially illustration! Thank you so much! Other ideas to create variance are the usage of randomness (e.g. on accents) and polyrhythms.
wow what a high quality production. See you at the top!
Very nice Blue Monday at the end there....really.
Came for the tutorials, stayed and subbed for the absolutely stunning presentation and content. What a find!
love this sm, especially the blue monday at the end!!
Best BEST channel on UA-cam. So much care and imagination has gone into your videos. LOVE ❤️
Thank you very much :) 🐇
Super well done! This is recommended stuff for drum sequencing and having fun with your machines. I’m imagining having machines and videos like this 20 years ago when I was depending on magazines and friends. Love the killer bunny
Your channel is of the absolute highest quality. Such a pleasure. Thank you for your hard work.
Thank you so much! :)
Excellent work!!!
The visuals, animations and color schemes are soooo good. And then it's very instructive too! Awesome
This is art
Quality of content and the loving attention you gave to crafting the presentation is inspiring! Thank you!
best ending @YT video collection. Cool BlueM cover. Nice video, used to play with pattern lenght & jumps with 90's trackers... sometimes synch skiped a bit.
Please please make more of this series it’s so effing good.
I love this channel so much- I love this series it’s so much clearer than anything similar on UA-cam and so pretty.
I don’t think most people would mind ads on your videos- the production value is so high you deserve to be rewarded.
Nevertheless I’ve just started my first job and will be sure to make this the first patreon I support :)
Thank you so much! We would hate to see our videos interrupted by ads. A small channel like ours with content that's intentionally short and to the point wouldn't generate significant ad revenue anyway.
The support we get on Patreon allows us to stay ad free and helps us much more than any ad money could ❤
The production values in these videos are THROUGH THE ROOF
this is so good!
You are the Best 👏👏👏👏👍
Bravo, Brilliant creation, such dedication to produce an Entertaining, Educational, Electronic, Equilibrium. I hope you guys get picked up for a program/contract! Best hidden gem on UA-cam!
Slick video. Very cool
This series is great! I’m really hoping for more videos to come around drum patterns.
Love your videos. The animation and teaching style is incredible. Please do a whole series on the deluge. Pleases please.
I've just discovered this channel, and now I'm pissed with the past years I wasted on UA-cam, and not seeing such gorgeous quality of video production
Great work, Captain
Great videos, all your stuff is very well-made. Hope the algorithm picks you up.
really nice work, bunnies
This series was so creative, b̶funny and engaging ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Well done!

Great video and production as always !
Buen trabajo Captain!
Amazing
Great episode once again!
Man, thank you so much for your videos👍😊
Good to see you again :) Thank you for watching!
My pleasure my Friend.
Incredible 😎
Great work. You have a professional approach! Hope to see the new episodes with more complex tricks. Wish you all the best!
Roland tr-8 has A/B versions of each pattern.
Push both buttons and it will alternate between them. (But there is no way of copying A>B 😡)
You can also chain patterns together.
On Korg electribe2, you have up to four pages of 16 steps. The pattern you make on the first page will be automatically copied to the next page once you activate them.
Novation Cirquit has 4 pages of 16 steps that can be chained together.
Cirquit tracks (the "mk2" Cirquit) has the same 4*16 steps patterns but each pattern can be extended to 32 steps.
The cirquit tracks also allows you to set individual pattern lengths from 1-32 for each pattern, set individual time signatures for each pattern and set sub-steps for each trigger. You get four drum tracks, two synth tracks and two assignable midi tracks.
And if that wasn't enough, the "song mode" gives another layer of options to change the order of how the patterns are played.
What looks pretty basic at first glance is is a super powerful sequencer if you dig into it, and I wish more people would explore this.
Dear Captain, I love your videos.. The way are made, so pleasing to the eye!
Love from Argentina
The production value on your videos is insane. Instantly subbed.!
great work, see you on the top!
Your videos are art.
Beat bunny kicking the bars and those funny noises when it turns its head...my humor :)
My TR-6S arrived yesterday, so your timing is excellent
Have fun, it's a great little machine :) Also keep an eye out for our TR-6S review/tutorial that's coming soon.
Wieviel Arbeit hat denn allein in dem Stop Motion Part gesteckt? Ganz großes Kino.
These videos are a real treat! I'd love to see a review of the drumbrute impact like you've done for the RD-6 and DRM1 Mk4.
Sehr gut! You guys make some of the best produced content on all of youtube! I reeeeally want to get a drum machine after watching your videos, i just have to figure out how to combine it with a guitar/synth-rock setting.
Yees, I was hoping you would get a TR-6S, since I just got one and your vids are so helpful!
Good stuff, this is a great channel.
Thank you! :)
Thx
love love ;)
you have criminally low views. Great stuff
lol at the rabbit kicking some steps
I'm a guitarist who likes to write and record on my own, and recently I've fallen into the rabbit hole of this channels videos from the 15 Step drum pattern video. I play mostly rock music, but the electronic drumming styles of the more 80s-sounding machines really intrigue me - I've been thinking about buying a drum machine for a few days now. There is a question that I've had, though, and I haven't really been able to find a solid answer on it: in a lot of rock songs, drum patterns will switch from a main part to a chorus or a bridge. Is there any way to replicate this in a hands-free way with a drum machine without a DAW? I've been trying to figure out if something cheap (like the Volca Beat) could switch with a stompbox, though results have been inconclusive. Would I be better off buying something like a sequencer?
Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks!
What you're looking for is a drum machine with song mode (sometimes called track mode or arranger mode). This allows you to pre-program a playlist of patterns. Most dedicated sequencers also have this so you could use one to control a drum machine that doesn't have song mode. But this is the more expensive route since you'd need a sequencer and a drum machine.
Captain, your morse code signal is slightly unreadable. It sounds like you ami to start with ”Dear captain”. What’s the rest?
Love your videos!!
Dear captain, can you please demonstrate how to use toms in a drum beat?
That's definitely on the roadmap for the "Drum Patterns Explained" series :)
What's a step and what's a page?
Hi Tanya, a step is the smallest unit a sequencer can display, often a 1/16th note by default. Take a look at DM101 Episode 1, it's shown there ua-cam.com/video/eq_DGafM-4s/v-deo.html
A page, as shown in this episode, is the part of the pattern that is currently being displayed on the physical sequencer steps.
@@CaptainPikant thank you!
like for B M ed cover

Something is clearly wrong with the algorithm...
So annoying. Made for kindergarten, or nonmusicians...
