@2Spooky As you know, I got all the trophies for Soul Calibur: Lost Swords. Oh, the reason Sophitia was absent in Soul Calibur 5 was she died via heroic sacrifice.
I love how much effort you put into each fact. In other fact videos people just say things like "SiEgfRieD iS blONdE" and do that for about 10 minutes. But you put so much time and research into the video. Serious props man.

Number 45 Correction: Even though licensing may have taken a part, the reason why Necrid is not in SC3 onwards is simple: Talim healed him. Yes, our Talim. And since she did, Necrid was back to normal, which was his reason for pursuing Soul Edge which, ended his story (This is canon btw)
Another fact about the series, is that while most if not all characters have wielded either Soul Edge or Soul Calibur, Talim is one of the only three characters to wield both blades together, the other two are Algol and Azwel.

@MarcoM512 Well, he didn't actually limit it to fighting games, since he also listed films & some games in other genres. And he is wrong/incorrect about some of them. @@VitorCosta40 that is not confirmed to be nor does look like Yoshimitsu. It just seems to be a demon samurai, not Yoshimitsu the mechanized demonic ninja. Also it doesn't seem to have a prosthetic right arm like Yoshimitsu has. So almost certainly not Yoshimitsu.
As for number 13, I personally consider Siegfried/Nightmare as the same character but also not. Kind of like Darth Vader and Anakin. So in short, I think they do indeed count as appearing in every game. Some might even argue that the latter is the main character(even though there arguably isn't one main.)

It’a not really a fan theory that Raph is a “vampire”. It’s pretty much a fact. Even his moves allude to it. His Auto GI “Necro form” is where he turns into bats for a second. Also his outfit is covered in bats. His input grab in 5 sucks health out of the opponent. For female characters, he bites their neck, and for male characters he grabs their stomach and sucks out their life. He’s gotten paler, veiny, and his eyes have turned red. He stopped aging at 32 and would now be like 50. He also can not die since he was once killed and turned into a malfested of sorts. Sorry for the rant lol Raphael is my favorite character since he came out lol.
Also, one of his costumes in Soul Calibur IV is a black tunic / cloak with gold highlights. You cannot convince me that it isn't meant to reference Castlevania's Alucard, who's half-vampiric.
Number 81 Correction: Somewhere in SC5 Lore: "Setsuka took up the name Neve and travelled to Istanbul where she became a self-defense teacher to orphaned children. She also taught Patroklos her fighting style during this period and told him that he must not indulge revenge in his heart as she did, advice that ultimately went ignored."

43:33 Since Voldo is blind, I don't really think he was peeking Sophitia. I can imagine he just accidentally entered the room in the same moment she was changing. Also Sophie's expression shows she somewhat doesn't care and looks at different direction. Also, Voldo's pose in the mirror suggests he was just passing by the room.
Sophitia is not only a guest character in Warriors Orochi 3, but her lore is part of the game's plot and she gets a full on redemption arc where she makes friends and recounts her mistakes in life and atones by helping the cast. There are even side missions wherein she gets extra special dialogue and develops her character even further. WO3 really is the "one true" musou/warriors game if you only ever play one of them. It has several other guest characters who also get just as much character development, but I won't spoil it.
I’m late to the party, but here’s a couple: - Nightmare is only 5’6” (SC1-SC4) - Some of Voldo’s moves were animated by the team, but a surprising handful were motion-captured by an actual contortionist.
There is a book titled 'Musashi' and it's about his life. It's absolutely fantastic. It opens with the ending of a war and all the gruesome stuff that happened during it. Fantastic read.
As far as Taki's suit, it's an ironic how it is red (and skin tight) when typically the color red is seen as alluring and enticing (sexually). But when she activates soul charge we see purple rune-like kanji patterns similar to the cutscene in Soul Blade. Those purple patterns seem to be what's actually used to "ward off" of the demons while the red and skin tight element could be used to entice them. Interesting juxtaposition.
Is it just me that has a feeling that the developing team had the entire story planned out throughout the games and not just a 'lets plan while we have time'
You can't guilt me when you say I am a child abuser for beating the living shit out of astaroth. Especially after what he did to best boi Maxi's village.
If somebody has the physical ability and mentality to murder my ass like nobody's business then it is my right to murder them back even if they are 3 or 7 years old. There are children murderers too ya know so I'm not going to take any chances.
@@Bendanna93 Guts from Berserk did so why should't Lu Bu do it as well? Plus, if Lu Bu gets the power of Soul Edge to combine with his Halberd, he will be invincible.
I have a random fact about SoulCalibur. In SoulCalibur V, the Devil Jin fighting style has a Brave Edge off of his down-forward A (3A). This Brave Edge causes Devil Jin to cancel out of the 3A's animation and dash forward. This is a reference to the arcade version of TEKKEN 3, where there was a bug with Jin's down-forward Left Punch (df1, the exact same move as 3A) that allows him to cancel the animation and dash forward.
There's quite a few issues I noticed in this video, one of the more prominent ones being "Voldo peeking at Sophitia". VOLDO. IS. BLIND. Others would be one point where you say the weapons and styles are created first, then the character is designed around them, but then go on to say that Tira was originally going to be a cat girl, showing a picture of her with claws. You also say that each Yoshimitsu is actually a different one to give his enemies the impression that he is immortal. What, then, is the point of him introducing himself as Yoshimitsu II in Soul Calibur V, or the fact that they made such a big deal about Yoshimitsu II striking down and killing the previous Yoshimitsu before him? Is he really Yoshimitsu V? "Always the same Lizardman." Except that storyline-wise, we know that there are hordes of lizardmen, and even some cutscenes show these hordes. Yes, we know Aeon was the Lizardman in the first Soul Calibur and returned with his own name in Soul Calibur V, but Soul Caliburs II through IV have several different shapes, colors, designs, and bodily features. There's not much reason to believe that they were all Aeon when we know there are dozens. Also, hair dye didn't exist in the 1500's? Dye existed for sure. Or did you just think king's robes were naturally purple? Why couldn't you just put dye in your hair? Anyway, I think that's most of my gripes I could go on because I love this series, but that would make an even bigger essay.
Sure dyes have existed for a long time but to put it and make it stay on hair, dye needs auxiliary components that doesn't alter the dye itself. But anyway in a world where you can power up metal with human souls and where alchemy can make you stay young forever blue hair dye is not that for of a stretch.
Interesting fact about fact #70, that's why he was called "The Apprentice" in SC4 and not "Starkiller". They were trying to keep his name under wraps for some reason.
hey bud, great video. I'm really happy you got the help sponsor/ did such a good job of putting it in there. being a medic I respect it. Keep up the great work.
A bit more info on EDGE. EDGE was a name copyrighted by Chris Anderson, mostly for his magazine (UK first, then US) by his company FUTURE LLC. He has the habbit to sue ANY product with EDGE in the title. Until EA said "F*** it, I make Mirror's Edge". Of course Mr Anderson tried to sue them, but big boi lawyers at EA waited for him. "You can't copyright a name that common ! **TAKE THAT** " And the breach was opened, Mr Anderson had to let the EDGE flow.
42:06 Small correction, that's not Soul Embrace, but actually the corrupted version of Soul Calibur shown into Inferno's body, first seen in the ending of Inferno himself in the previous game, Soul Calibur. Soul Embrace is actually the combination of Soul Edge and Soul Calibur, that nullifies both swords, it was shown in the opening cinematic of Soul Calibur III and in the Lost Cathedral when Zasalamel wanted to make his wish come true. The moment Zasalamel collects Soul Embrace, he frees both swords from their status, losing control and becoming Abyss, while rejecting one of the two swords whenever you control a specific character (Soul Calibur for Sophitia, Siegfried, etc., or Soul Edge for Astaroth, Nightmare, etc.).
#32. Yes, Raphael is a vampire. In the events of Soul Calibur 3, Raphael is injured and tainted by Soul Edge. He discovers that this tainting of his body was contagious and was contaminating Amy. Where they both would become Malfested. Raphael, because of this would become a vampire and couldn't reverse the effects. He remains on his path to make Amy the perfect world for her. His vampiric behavior is canon due to his malfested transformation. Amy, before this malfestation had green eyes in the past. She always had a quiet, withdrawn demeanor but was slowly opening up. But becoming malfested she lost all her progress.
2spooky I always wanted to ask have you ever thought about doing 101 facts on Devil May Cry and if you ever decided to do that would you rather wait after the 5th game comes out or would you still go through with the only four installments that are out right now
Fact number 68- the save corruption bug, it happened to me every time I played the chronicles of the sword. I played it so much that I had to restart literally 63 times before I just stopped saving.
The key was to always do Chronicles of the Sword first and then never create another save for it ever again. Only use it to get cash for creat a character items. After I figured that out the glitch never happened again.
How about 101 facts about the Devil May Cry series? The 5th one is coming out and I want to brush up on some lore before it drops. Also an awesome video about SoulCalibur. I played the beta and I think I might get when it comes out.
Soul Calibur V has Yoshimitsu as a standart character and Ezio Auditore as a guest character. And did you know that Yoshimitsu and Ezio Auditore were fighting in Venice, Italy? Yoshimitsu was fighting in Venice, Italy in Tekken 1 here (ua-cam.com/video/SKs8nxyBpGE/v-deo.html) at 03:49 while Ezio Auditore was also fighting in Venice, Italy here (ua-cam.com/video/RaOPz5QLa60/v-deo.html).
Ill be honest, i enjoyed Soulcaliber 5 alot since it was my first souls game, and i love character creation. That said, i am glad they decided to do a reboot cuz, being a hopeless romantic i would pray that in this one, Kilik and Xianghua actually end up together preferably for life, cuz that fact left a bitter feeling in my stomach that may have ruined all enjoyment of soulcaliber 5 or soulcaliber 6 (if it wasnt a reboot)
Great video. While I have my misgivings about some points (you forgot Seong Mina also didn't get a replacement for number 70 for example) I thoroughly enjoyed what you made. Thanks for making this. The hype for Soul Calibur 6 is real, and I can't wait to play my favorite fighting game once again. See you on the stage of history, everyone!
I actually really enjoyed Omega Pyrrha, and would gladly like to see her in future sequels instead of everyone else from 5. She’s a interesting second antagonist to the lore, and the concept of having sophitia’s future daughter fall to Soul Edge sounds awesome. It’ll be like the true Star Wars episode 8 we never got.
for everyone wondering about lizardman (or aeon) changes of apparence/fighting style throughout the games, refering to the lore, by consuming his defeated opponent aeon would for a brief moment regain consciousness of his old human form as the ability to mimic them but would also result on accelerating his transformation. all thoses changes are the result of years of isolation and "cannibalism" (dude used to be a spartian), succombing more and more to his lizardman instincts.
I thought Leixia was their kid not Xiba. Just for the simple fact that when Leixia and Kilik are put against each other to fight he says and I quote "You look like her".
That thing about Aeon always bugged me. How the fuck does a lizard have bird wings that can unfurl pretty much out of thin air? Granted Olcadan is no better, but at least it’s both warm blooded classes of vertebrae...
For anybody that still plays 3, the way around that terrible bug is to basically give Soul Calibur 3 its own private memory card. Once I did that, I never lost the data again, and I had to start over plenty too
Since Soul Calibur 6 isn’t coming to the Nintendo Switch, I would like to see Soul Calibur 2 come to switch so fans like me can play as Link once again. I know that they were hesitant since there are so many fighting games on switch but there aren’t many 3D fighting games on the switch.
Don't think that there already being quite a few fighting games for the Switch has much to do with the hesitation, since there are just as many and probably more for PS4, Xbox One and PC. The hesitation might have more to do with how drastically the game may have to be re-worked for the Switch, plus dealing with Nintendo can be problematic at times. Bandai Namco don't seem to want to have console exclusive content anymore. So if the content for the game should be the same on all consoles, then the Switch version would either just be a port or Nintendo would have to allow some of their IP to appear on other Consoles, which is highly unlikely. And it can also be hard making sure a game runs on 4 different kinds of platforms. Project Soul will already have to continuously update, patch and maintain the game on 3 platforms, plus working on the Season Pass content. So it is probably too much work to also make a port on top of all of this, which would then also mean they would have to update, patch & maintain the game for yet another platform. I think it's more likely that SoulCalibur and Tekken will probably be and stay on PS4, Xbox and PC, while Bandai Namco might create other fighting games or spin-offs exclusively for the Switch, like they already did with Pokkén Tournament fore example. Oh, and if you want to play as Link, then you still have Zelda: Breath of the Wild and numerous Links in Smash Bros..
"Oh, and if you want to play as Link, then you still have Zelda: Breath of the Wild and numerous Links in Smash Bros.." Yeah not really a helpful solution though, is it. He wants to play as Link specifically with his (possibly) favourite fighting system. Your solution is like saying "Your favourite character isn't in this show anymore but the actor is in this other show". It's not really relevant. But still -- the rest of your comment was more or less spot on.
Cao Cao, I get what you are trying to say, but what I said wouldn't really be like, as you put it: "Your favourite character isn't in this show anymore but the actor is in this other show". What I said would be like: "Your favourite character isn't in this show anymore, but the character is in these other shows, though those shows might be in different genres". But if it is really about playing as Link in Soul Calibur, then the answer is simple: "Play Soul Calibur II on the Nintendo GameCube". I do think quite a few people, also still play Smash Bros. Melee on the GameCube. I too some times go back to older consoles to play certain games. A SoulCalibur II Remaster on a newer Nintendo Consoles, could have happened when the SoulCalibur II HD Online was made for PS3 and Xbox 360, but there wasn't a Nintendo version, which might be because Nintendo were perhaps hard to deal with and/or they didn't want Link to then also be on the remastered versions for the PS3 and Xbox 360.
I think I remember one of the games hinting at that ivy is immortal. I might have to replay them all again to try and find it but thats why she doesn't age
For people who don't know, its probably obvious but there is a quest in sc6 libra of souls when you meet up with arthur who trains with mitsurugi later then convincing him that the search for this weapon is meaningless(If I'm correct, correct me if I'm wrong)
It's dissociative identity disorder not multiple personality disorder it's been like this FOR OVER 20 YEARS! I don't understand how people still don't know this.
That number 87 is incorrect. Volvo is blind and insane. He was sealed away for so long that he became blind, insane and forgot his own name and language. So he’s not a pervert. Not the best character in the game. But can be pretty tough to play against.
Fact 19: All of events of SC-2-4 was when in 6 months to be exact. Fact 49: The SC II was actually different Lizard man all the other versions not the one we call Aeon. Fact 69: The outrage of Cutting Taki from the game was similar other cut characters from game that was done with no information given at launch. Also made worst but Natsu just being the worst. Fact 78: Yoshimitsu in SC is Right-handed while Tekken's is Left-Handed Fact 101: Although not mention by name, the bonus character Ashlotte did play a part in the creation of a new Astaroth by retrieving his core, which was her mission. Making her appearance as a bonus character canon.
About Aeon, you can really tell that Lizardman and him is the same person, the reason because how he'd changed his colour is because he is a reptile who can change their hide when they are older.
Miyamato Musashi was never a ronin. That's like an outcast or a samurai who betrayed his lord. He was highly respected while alive and long afterwards.
soulcalibur 2 was the best. extremely diverse movelist. they reduced it in soulcalibur 3. as a nightmare main, you can see that they split soulcalibur 2's nightmare movelist for siegfired and nightmare in the sequel.

If anything it brings out demons ;)
To bad it doesn't slow aging too...
ive seen enough of _THAT_ kind of anime to not believe that.

The color of the suit does, red is a weakener of oni in japan
Yeeeeah... The third entry kinda made him a vampire
I thought you were going to say Raphael grabs and sucks the dick. 😅
Also, one of his costumes in Soul Calibur IV is a black tunic / cloak with gold highlights. You cannot convince me that it isn't meant to reference Castlevania's Alucard, who's half-vampiric.
In one of the games i think it was 3 or 4 where he was trying to find a cure for it to save amy?
44:47 I always thought Ashlotte was the most interesting of the bunch. I love her design.
Yeah, no, Ashlotte was and still is great, practically the only outright mechanical looking character, somewhat outclassing Astaroth in that regard
I love that Tira's hair color is considered a historical inconsistency in a fictional fighting game featuring a demonic sword with an eye. Lol.

Now take into account that Voldo's main sense is sense of smell.
@A Bad Enough Dude oh, god, imagine if he walked in while she was changing and needing someone.~
@@abadenoughdude300 Voldo be smelling her booty.
@@abadenoughdude300he’s a foot sniffer: confirmed. He said “lemme sniff them grippers!” 💀

- Nightmare is only 5’6” (SC1-SC4)
- Some of Voldo’s moves were animated by the team, but a surprising handful were motion-captured by an actual contortionist.
The main difference between Ivy and Taki considering their appearance in SC V is, that Ivy is immortal.
And she is equally as beautiful and sexy as in SCIV. She is cute.
I knew I wasn’t the only one who thought Guts and Siegfried were very similar! Also love the inclusion of the Berserk and Bleach soundtracks 👍🏼
Who are we kidding: Everyone already knew Ivy's size.
Dont worry! Cloud is in soulcalibur! His japanese voice actor that is...
1 year later, and soulcalibur 6 is still so slept on. Why dont more people get it? It's so good 🤤🤤👏👏💯💯
There is a book titled 'Musashi' and it's about his life.

Oh that's awesome!

Soul blade is such a classic.. wish that vibe carried on more vividly in the later titles
I'm more than happy to know more about soul calibur... But u never mentioned anything about Seong Mina!!😕sad...
True...

"Oh, and if you want to play as Link, then you still have Zelda: Breath of the Wild and numerous Links in Smash Bros.."
Yeah not really a helpful solution though, is it.
