huh. I was under the impression that it only marked one enemy at a time, because of the TF2 equivelent and how powerful damage boosts are when you have a team. this changes things. I'll definitely be trying it out.
Yes, the mark itself is an effect that can be applied to multiple targets and lasts for the duration. It can even be reapplied to the same target to refresh the duration.
@@25Jake Thanks for pointing that out. I actually discovered this as well when reviewing all my footage. It’s a neat little trick for getting an extra charge shot.
I know the ‚meta’ pick for Scout is Special Powder, to allow for great pacing even on modded difficulties, but *_man_* if the more combat- oriented builds aren’t fun, I don’t know what is.
MFD does combine pretty well with Spowder alone. Theres some custom cave madness difficulties with very tanky enemies and this is where MFD gets a lot of value.
I just love flying around with special powder even if i sometimes break my legs lol. It's too much fun for me to give up and i'm not a fan of the other secondaries for damage anyways.
useless secondaru means meta? i am sorry you are playing with greybeards what speedrun haz5x3? huh? Spowder is trash and anything else can make scout solo fil lobby swarms
Boomstick is great, definitely better than the smgs, but I’d hardily call it meta, it’s fun but I’d much rather run something like fire blots + pherebolts to effortlessly take care of swarmers and draw aggro, with tef drak (heat crosshair addon) to kill mactera and high priority targets, drak isn’t bad at long range as long as you take accelerated projectiles and tef gets a load of extra damage from the overclock
So to add to the conversation Yes specialpoweder is ass for combat compared to shaped shells db or Jumbo shells But for a sweat that can get that movement down, hell the crazy gem jugglers Specialpoweder can be amazing for traversing large caves Does scout need it on top of his grapplinghook? It depends Big aquark mission or modded cavegen of mission content revise do benefit from specialpowder In the end id say im not the type to on regular missions ever take it confidently over db or any other weapon builds but i know a bunch of people that sweat by its usefullness Idk that i agree with the take that its not but my aim wont let me take ai stab so i cant judge anyones preferences Also imbedded detonators are goated and i wont hear the slander
Agreed just got marked a few days ago and it's so fun. I pair it with the zhukovs gas recycling for huge dmg + their 33% electric dmg buff. So mark a target, toss an IFG and watch as you delete high value targets. Gets rid of oppressors in 1 zhuk clip and I've never seen detonators be killed faster tbh but I'm still newish. Lv70
I tend to pick the Zhukovs with this OC, actually. Picking up an ammo build with some blow through makes it use up exactly as much ammo as the M1K burns through if you use them interchangeably; M1K for strong hits and Zhukovs for crowds or trash. It felt so good in fact that I didn’t think anything else would be nearly as effective, due to needing some way of dealing with crowds. It’s also the only time I ever use Zhukovs.
I think DRAK's Conductive Thermals OC is just a superior option, you can deal a lot of damage with Nishanka (Fire OC) or a Boomstick (with fire damage) and set fire or ice super easy. Helping your allies in the process. Just make sure to take the Drak's AoE damage mod so that the vulnerability the OC causes will do the job twice as fast. (The AoE damage from the Drak is also fire damage) The only downside is that not all weapons benefit, they have to have some elemental damage on the weapon like the Coilgun which has fire damage by default. When they do, the damage increase is massive.
I often play a DPS engi for exactly the reasons outlined in this video. You can rely on sentries and teammates for crowd control or rock the Lok-1 with ECR if you really want crowd control, but having a secondary that can delete single targets in short order seems to help out more than engi focusing on crowd control as it means your team can focus on everything else since you insta delete large threats.
I had a theory build for the zhukovs with embedded detonators, ifgs and conductive bullet paired with marked for death but that’s probably doin to much.
Would be good for elim against bosses, but completely worthless against any swarm-clearing, making you way too reliant on your team Also wdym with conductive bullets? Do you mean conductive thermals
I use this build for elimination eclusively. It's capable of one shotting dreadnoughts with a couple born ready embedded dets reloads. Also, conductive bullets is a trap, as it doesn't apply to the explosive reload.
I use this build but with gas recycling zhuk's. It's GREAT for swarm clear if u just stand in the ifg lol. And so far I've had good results taking out oppressors in literally 1 zhuk magazine. Even if a swarm has a praetorian I won't care too much as the armor break on zhuks helps shred right thru them plus can't forget the blowthrough 😂🔥
Conductive bullets only affects the bullet damage not emd det damage so the increase in damage is marginal really from that mod specifically, solid build tho overall
From what I HAVE experienced from both so far, Thermals can dish out massive dmg with the tradeoff of a lot of setup required, while Marked for Death is just point, click, done. That being said I've only used Thermals on occasion, so I would definitely need to dedicate more time learning the ins and outs of it.
Thermals is better, but ONLY with a ice storm driller or volbullets gunner unless you wanna use boomstick with max damage on incind for it, otherwise marked for death is better because its more versatile and can work with any team and build, much like how goo is a better option for elim driller because it works well with any team but ice driller does generally less damage UNLESS your team has leadstorm or hyperprop engie to take advantage of frozen status

Pro tip for marked shots: You can still let off a focused shot if you have 1 or 2 bullets left in the mag.

I prefer 13221 wirh marked for death. The bonus critical hit damage is crazy good when stacked with marked targets.

Would love for you to do a similar thing for engineer if possible, I don't play anything else whenever I'm in DRG lmao
In due time, I might explore some of my other favorite overclocks and see about making guides for them as well.

zukov with the overfeed mechanizum and ifg is a bager that i have done some god haz 5 solo with :)
Interesthonk, how would you compare this OC to Conductive Thermals? cuz it does the same job except Conductive Thermals is limited to elemental dmg
From what I HAVE experienced from both so far, Thermals can dish out massive dmg with the tradeoff of a lot of setup required, while Marked for Death is just point, click, done.

Surprised anyone would underrate mark for death. What could possibly be better than this OC?
