I was playing an Escort Mission a few days ago I'm off grabbing a Battery Pack when the Drilldozer bursts into a cave, the Bet-C Healthbar appears, and then immediately disappears. I ask what happened and apparently Doretta ran over Bet-C and killed the thing instantly
I've had this happen to everything but the blast variants. It's how rare that a dreadnaught spawns? I've watched Loretta kill them all. I've only had this game like a month xD
I think it would be really cool if we could take bet c’s head or heart or something like that. At the end of the mission you can go up to her and deactivate her and take the part and bring it into the drop pod with you. Leaving bet c down there is basically leaving her to get taken over by parasites again, there’s nothing she can do to stop it. So I think deactivating her (or at least deactivating her main body) and taking her thinking part back like Doretta would be great. Just have the bet c part show on the left side of the screen instead of the right like dotty. Also have some sort of shrine or memorial in the memorial hall for dotty and betsy, but have them go up in tier based on how many times you brought them back. Oh also on topic of robots coming back, just have bosco go into a compartment on the side of the drop pod like molly. Of the new weapons Management has approved of, I know firsthand that two of them are excellent BET-C liberators. The LOK-1 rifle is able to lock on and perforate a Charge Sucker even while you're desperately strafing to avoid getting blown to bits. The Corrosive Sludge Pump is even more effective: enough shots will totally encase Betsy's torso, causing both Suckers to absolutely hate life before they're both dissolved completely. It's also worth mentioning that Betsy is the proverbial 500 lbs. gorilla who sits anywhere she wants. Be careful on narrow ledges or she will hip check you off without a second thought.
And the even more recently requisitioned Collette Wave Cooker makes for a wonderful combination with the sludge pump, the parasites simply melt in under ten seconds with proper application of this combo.
If only the LOK-1 was that effective against the caretaker.. instead it just considers the whole thing to be one target making it quite worthless in industrial sabotage missions.
And to drastically increase the effectiveness of the sludge punp, consider combining the volatile impact overclock with the tier 2 upgrade that boosts charge shot damage. I have had many a betsy go down in 5 to 6 shots from my sludge pump using that build.
I'll be honest. I think DRG does send a 2ndary heavy lift drop pod to pick up BET-C's once they are repaired since they are a major hazard (and profit draining) problem that can be dealt with so it would be not too surprising that they send a autonomous drop pod to pick BET-C's up then scrap it.

Small but important correction to 11:15 - there is absolutely no visual or audio cue for it, but if you apply enough cold to the suckers they _can_ be "frozen" in a similar way to the post-season-3-patch rival robots. It only lasts for several seconds, but they will take roughly double damage from most sources. If you rush inside the shield as scout and chuck a freeze grenade you can quite easily destroy both suckers by your lonesome before she gets up again. It's also a fantastic application of a couple cryo bolts if you're running those on the boltshark; don't even need to hit the suckers directly, just need to tag BET-C somewhere such that the AoE spreads to them.

So I installed the BET-C voice mod yesterday (a day before official mod support rolled out, so that's a thing) - I didn't get a BET-C on a mission, but I got a machine event, and discovered the core infuser plays a sped up BET-C line after completing an infusion.
Yeah, those things use the same file only pitched up unfortunately. I don't if I could force the game to use a different file by editing the cue asset but I need to learn how to do that first to know. Sorry though!
I just recently picked up the game and finally ran into one of these for the first time. I was playing solo, had already been down twice, and was on my last legs when I rounded the corner and she activated. The nice news was that I was running away from a nearly dead detonator and happened to get it to pop right on top of the Droid. Overall, I think the fight lasted half a second. Timing is everything.
Just got my first Bet-C tonight, in the same game i killed a proespector and it let me hack its guardian. Made the rest of the level incredibly easy after a rough start.
These are some of the best game guides that exist honestly. Not just deep rock but as far as guides go in general these videos are amazing. Management definitely owes you a promotion!
A bit of advice, the shield stops most projectiles but not breach cutter shots, they go straight through and since they have travel time and she's not moving when she uses her shield its the perfect time to use it. Its a much safer option than getting in close beneath the shield.
That is a good thing to know for sure, makes that phase a lot easier to take advantage of. Breach cutter definitely seems to be one of the best weapons for dealing with her.
I absolutely love how you use bits and pieces of lore to explain game mechanics, i.e Bosco not being targeted :D Amazing content, subbed! Rock and Stone!
It would have been nice if bet-c did a bomb shower whenever the dwarves are in enough danger of dying from the bugs, and the shield generator attracts the bugs over towards it and then the shield attacks the bugs.
Using Cryo Grenades is really good, they freeze the Xynarch Charge Suckers so they take much more damage, and can be killed with a power attack or two. I onced used this strategy, and killed a BET - C in 10~ seconds
"sadly you can't bring her back to the space rig with you" ....i do wish the engineer could deploy other machines or "modifications" to anything machines we find in the caves or give gunner the head of a BET-C
Also as you said that it is the best time to get rid of those charge suckers on bet-c, the trembling stomp from the Glyphid dreadnought is definitely super dangerous but a,so it stands still for a while before pivoting again. On solo, the animation is super slow, and after he stomps the next animation for the dreadnought is that he roars before walking and pivoting towards you again. Then on multiplayer mode, the shoots a fireball, after the stomping attack ends and the pin walks and pivots back around towards you again.
My go-to is my scout secondary; Depending on if I'm running Zhukovs with Imbedded Detonators or Bodkin Points Crossbow, I either dump a clip of zhukovs at point blank into each sucker when Bet-C hunkers down, or stack Zappy Bolts alternating, and I always make sure to Zaparang it to bounce back and forth between the suckers.
I really love the lore-building here. The idea of DRG sending in different specialized teams to explore hoxxes before you came along makes a lot of sense, especially since all the lost helmets are the Corporate Marine helm and none of the other lost gear we salvage is used by us in any other instance.
It would be hilarious if you can find friendly BET-Cs instead of only parasite infected ones, it would probably be pretty rare but they're still friendly and wandering around.
A very quick and nice Strat for betc when you're out in the open or you need to res someone. Drillers can make trenches to jump in and out of to cover in when they're shooting. Just don't get bombed when she swaps firing modes.
You know, that's a very common human mistake, in real life war scenarios, sending heavily armored vehicles into a environment full of hostiles is pretty much risking to losing it, either be getting destroyed or captured by the enemy... Nowadays armies always try to send their heavy armament with some light support such as infantry or other lighter vehicles. The mistake was sending the BET-C's all alone, they should have sent them with a platoon of dwarves.
I think they did send them with the corporate marine squads early on but it definitely didn't work out for them. I assume they were unprepared for the craziness on Hoxxes IV. The lost gear helmets are the corporate marine helmet design so I assume that's all thats left of them, but the BET-Cs faired much better haha
Huh, neat. When i first found a Bet-c I thought it was a machine unit made to copy our Molly etc. Never got close enough to actually see the parasitic and just spammed everything at it as I was a level 10 gunner at the time i met one and didn't want a long boss fight.
Okay, I can't distress this enough, I always repeat the Intro, content creator like you are the ones I always wish could have any penny to spend for your effort." ROCK AND STONE!
ROCK AND STONE!! Great stuff, I say this belongs in the Miner's Manual (both the lore and the tactical tips)! I love how nonchalant BET-C sounds in this vid while indiscriminately murdering bugs and dwarves alike lol Three things I think would be worth adding in the appendix: 1. The 1-sec delay of the bombs seems to start right upon the firing of the bomb. So if the bomb is shot from a long distance, it may blow up right as it lands, giving the targeted dwarf no time to move out, so beware! 2. Dwarves can walk into BET-C shields, but for some reason, enemy bugs can too. So if you go for the suckers when the shield is up, also watch your back as the swarm can chase you in there! 3. Cryo does not freeze the parasites, but they can still reach a "frozen status" (the snowflake icon next to each of the parasite's status can still be filled up). When it is "frozen", the BET-C can still move and attack, but the parasites still take critical direct damage just like a frozen bug would. This makes cryo incredibly powerful against the BET-C if coordinated with another dwarf that can deal said direct damage!
whoever the guy/girl in management that decided were not allowed to bring bet-c back is probably the same person that doesn't allow lootbugs to be brought back as pets and all I have to say to that person is *loads shotgun* "I just wanna talk, greybeard to management, I just wanna talk... I have SEVERAL requests"
I really like Bet-c's fights, I think my favorite Bet-c encounter was one where I was playing driller with full damage satchel charges so I rushed at Bet-c and dropped one before she fully woke up to start the fight dealing a bunch of damage to her then switched to the sludge pump to halt her movement while my gunner duo shredded her with leadstorm, it was a fast fight but man the adrenaline rush was something else. Also I'd love a Bet-c recovery mission style maybe something like and attempt to bring them back to push back against the rivals when they come back.
me and me friend have a good strategy for killing betsies, it takes less than 10s... either one of us is usually playing engineer, and the other driller, we just dash in before the fight begins and spam fire the shotgun with minishells and the axes on the suckers.
You can fit a Betsy in the drop pod you just have to disassemble its legs and turret, and it just fits in with the mule. Turns out management forgot about the warranty. I got one on the rig, and it had a built-in mini fridge.
The Engineer's sentry turrets with the Hawkeye system will prioritize targets that you highlight, meaning you can use those to harass the parasites while you fight. If you find yourself unable to evade and attack they may even wind up finishing them for you.
@@siirvend Yep, that's the one, I always get them mixed up. Defenders could also work but the limited angle means you'll need to keep BET-C in a specific area. Hawkeye gives you a little more freedom to kite her around the area. I'd also suggest Gemini system but that's just personal preference as you can cover more angles and hit BET-C from multiple sides.
I remember one time when BET-C did her shield ability under a very low overhang. (Low enough where the shield is clipping through the roof) She placed bombs directly on top of her and blew herself up. And because she blew herself up she killed the last charge sucker. So that’s pretty cool.
Oh yeah its super convenient when shes does that! She will actually hit the parasites with her turret if shes angled just right too, which is hilarious to watch
You can take care of a BET-C really fast if you have a gunner with the Burning Hell over clock, however you basically have to be touching it in order for it to work
dont know if anyone has mentioned this yet but with the release of the wave cooker you can temp shock her even though the suckers cant be ignited or frozen
Came across a BET-C during a lava rock mission and scared the hell outta me, I had no idea what it was, and got lucky wrangling it for the first time and it was a beast!! Kinda wish we could take it back for extract as a reward or a bonus pose like they did with Dorreta if you take her back of finishing the mission

Looks like R&D was slacking off when they made those Core Infusers…
You can BET when I see one of these things, I can C a trip back to the med bay happening soon.
Good one
Appreciate the absolute effort and quality of these vids, it's a crime that there's not more views or subs but DRG has a pretty small community :(
I'm always hopeful that the community could grow even more with the next few updates!
I would absolutly love it if they gave bettsy a voice
That's what the mod I made in the description does!
I absolutely love how you use bits and pieces of lore to explain game mechanics, i.e Bosco not being targeted :D
Amazing content, subbed!
Rock and Stone!
I didn't know that Bet-Cs have USB phone chargers on them, thanks for sharing this private information!
Little known feature!
Another awesome video from one of my favorite youtubers
Haven’t watched it yet but I know it’s gonna be good!
It would have been nice if bet-c did a bomb shower whenever the dwarves are in enough danger of dying from the bugs, and the shield generator attracts the bugs over towards it and then the shield attacks the bugs.
I do wish she did that too, seems odd she stops once we fix her
Using Cryo Grenades is really good, they freeze the Xynarch Charge Suckers so they take much more damage, and can be killed with a power attack or two. I onced used this strategy, and killed a BET - C in 10~ seconds
"sadly you can't bring her back to the space rig with you"
....i do wish the engineer could deploy other machines or "modifications" to anything machines we find in the caves
or give gunner the head of a BET-C
…..or get a mech that has a drill strapped to it.
you are literally the best
wish I had these videos when I was learning the game all alone
When bet-c does the bomb shower, it is like a Glyphid dreadnought stomp
Glad they don't all detonate at once at least
Also as you said that it is the best time to get rid of those charge suckers on bet-c, the trembling stomp from the Glyphid dreadnought is definitely super dangerous but a,so it stands still for a while before pivoting again. On solo, the animation is super slow, and after he stomps the next animation for the dreadnought is that he roars before walking and pivoting towards you again. Then on multiplayer mode, the shoots a fireball, after the stomping attack ends and the pin walks and pivots back around towards you again.
Was watching some of your other stuff and wondered if you had more of these encounter guides, then saw this
Amazing production bro
Friggin spectacular, been so excited for more of these, love the videos!
The BET-C silhouette scene after the short was beautiful! Amazing work! Best wishes!
This was an awesome video, adn I love you went as far as even having a voice actor and setting up the beginning. Awesome work!
those intros are fire. especially when the music kick in
Looks like you had fun with this one!
After a long wait the legend returns.
Scouts great at bursting the charge suckers l, especially with the secondaries
dude you should make more of these videos, the editing and voice acting is ON POINT
Thank you!!
I really love the lore-building here. The idea of DRG sending in different specialized teams to explore hoxxes before you came along makes a lot of sense, especially since all the lost helmets are the Corporate Marine helm and none of the other lost gear we salvage is used by us in any other instance.
It would be hilarious if you can find friendly BET-Cs instead of only parasite infected ones, it would probably be pretty rare but they're still friendly and wandering around.
this is better then all the movies i have seen this year. 10/10 best story telling
Thank you man, I'm glad you like the machinima stuff so much!
I think a mission where you hunt down and repair multiple bet-cs would be pretty cool
“This thing ain’t on autopilot”
Oh wait… wrong game
A very quick and nice Strat for betc when you're out in the open or you need to res someone. Drillers can make trenches to jump in and out of to cover in when they're shooting. Just don't get bombed when she swaps firing modes.
HES BACK
LES GOOOO new Siirvend video!
@@siirvend cz they should have send them with Boscos
This is such a cool video! Really well made and informative! I love the lore and hope you make more!
Thank you!
Aww, I love the fan voicework, great job.
Amazing content mate!
man i love these analyses, top notch quality
Huh, neat. When i first found a Bet-c I thought it was a machine unit made to copy our Molly etc. Never got close enough to actually see the parasitic and just spammed everything at it as I was a level 10 gunner at the time i met one and didn't want a long boss fight.
Easy mode is always Lok-1 since it can lock on to the parasites.
Okay, I can't distress this enough, I always repeat the Intro, content creator like you are the ones I always wish could have any penny to spend for your effort."
ROCK AND STONE!
Rock n Stone!
I love that you tell a story with all your videos! Keep it up!
ROCK AND STONE!! Great stuff, I say this belongs in the Miner's Manual (both the lore and the tactical tips)! I love how nonchalant BET-C sounds in this vid while indiscriminately murdering bugs and dwarves alike lol
Three things I think would be worth adding in the appendix:
Those are great! I had no idea that the frozen status applied since there was no indicator on the health bars!
I love the narrative in these videos!
The quality of these vids is INSANE
ITS HERE
so many of your videos remind me of Ahoy and im all for it.
bet-c more like bad-c haha im so funny
Wait a second, you are not funny dwarf!
Get back to work miner!
its dwarf man that makes funny internet videos. cool and good
COMEDY GOLD.
Can you do a video on optimal sandwich builds next? I found a burger king down here and they keep asking me for my order.
This is a masterpiece. Nice job on the visuals
Really well done, all the info my Dwarf needs, while being interesting to watch.
This intro is fire dude, also great guide
Ayy thank you
What a beautiful video, friend. ROCK AND STONE
Rock and stone in the heart! ❤♥️ 💖
i love the format of the videos being intel from HQ, and it being delivered by some nerd from R&D
whoever the guy/girl in management that decided were not allowed to bring bet-c back is probably the same person that doesn't allow lootbugs to be brought back as pets and all I have to say to that person is *loads shotgun* "I just wanna talk, greybeard to management, I just wanna talk... I have SEVERAL requests"
I love the wild arms style boss transition.
That's unironically the best way of doing it I think. She likes to draw the fight out and win by attrition so rushing the Xynarchs is a good idea.
@@siirvend exactly, she loves to run around the map in a weird way, making the fight way longer than it should be
You can fit a Betsy in the drop pod you just have to disassemble its legs and turret, and it just fits in with the mule. Turns out management forgot about the warranty. I got one on the rig, and it had a built-in mini fridge.
Oh no way, I thought they were out of mini-fridges!
This video has a whole Ghost Giraffe vibe. I love it!
Nice. And now you must provide a mode for BET-C, a voice mod. You just have to.
Look in the description, I already did haha
@@siirvend Hm? O, ya rly did. My bad, guess that last mug o beer was a bit too much. Thx alot and have a ncie day.
Scout time slow grenade works, you can smother it with your secondary, spec'd with weakpoint damage it works really well in my experience
The Engineer's sentry turrets with the Hawkeye system will prioritize targets that you highlight, meaning you can use those to harass the parasites while you fight. If you find yourself unable to evade and attack they may even wind up finishing them for you.
I think Hawkeye System is what you're thinking of there.
I love Hawkeyes flexibility, totally agree
Just wanted to comment on how great your voice line mod is. Such a breath of fresh air !
Thank you! I think she did a great job too!
The mod control one is my fav!
I remember one time when BET-C did her shield ability under a very low overhang. (Low enough where the shield is clipping through the roof)
She placed bombs directly on top of her and blew herself up. And because she blew herself up she killed the last charge sucker. So that’s pretty cool.
Oh yeah its super convenient when shes does that! She will actually hit the parasites with her turret if shes angled just right too, which is hilarious to watch
You can take care of a BET-C really fast if you have a gunner with the Burning Hell over clock, however you basically have to be touching it in order for it to work
Haz1 X64 mod when BET-C spawns dear lord.
Oh God hahaha
I once took down a Bet-C with the Akimbo guns with the exploding bullets Mod in less than 8 seconds - that kind of shit makes you high!
- oh and ROCK AND STONE!
Embedded detonators would be a huge stroke of luck to have on you for a BET-C, nice lol
Truly a fine infomercial! Rock & stone indeed!
dont know if anyone has mentioned this yet but with the release of the wave cooker you can temp shock her even though the suckers cant be ignited or frozen
Honestly, a haz 5 bet-c can wipe even a coordinated and experienced team in seconds. It’s always a real challenge
