As a jazz composer, singer songwriter, and short story writer …. And yeah I invent things on the side.. lol
I did a lot of upgrading on my house here about 50 miles north of Chicago during the pandemic.
My home studio is getting there… but…needs a ton more of the
“ good stuff “ that Mr. Neve was famous for…..
you got a nice list going there!!!……..
I’m saving for; among other things…..a expanded , properly
mic- ed drum kit….. ( with all the trimmings)………a stand up double bass as well..Neve and Neumann gear…. Preferably…..
sure I’ll be broke…….. but….. the heavenly SOUNDS I produce…… will be worth every penny…. Lol

I’ve been drooling over the 8424 Hybrid Mixing Console…..
But…. with a $24,900 price tag….. I’ll have to be patient….lol
After writing for decades, I’ve decided to put out my first album….. or EP around spring 2024….
not interested in sales…. It’s the ART THAT NEEDS TO FINALLY GET ON ITS JOURNEY……..
I love a song that grabs you….. and just won’t turn you loose….. particularly a gorgeous LOVE SONG!!… even about family….

It takes light years of drafts and redrafts…. of course you already know this…….
I grew up singing Beatles, and Motown stuff……. My dad was a career Navy guy …. He would come home from months on a boat … and smoke his
Lucky Strikes, and drink his Schlitz Beer …. and play his jazz albums late into the light…….
I didn’t like his kind of jazz as a kid …..too hardcore, hardly anything melodious.
But…. When I joined the Navy at 23….. my roommate on the base in San Diego; Frank Cobb ( Cobbo )would insist I read the write ups on the liner notes of each artist “BEFORE “ he would play me the song.
It helps to know the history of an artist while his song is playing… somehow.
a sweet, interesting, and melody- filled piece that would get into my veins!!!……..
That’s when I knew….. I would spend the rest of my life….. writing the most touching songs for mankind……..
of course… every one won’t be moved by our work….. but… if YOU get goosebumps by your songs…. OTHERS WILL TOO!!!!!…lol
I got sidetracked to my destination by fear, and lies……..that cost me DECADES of my life chasing a stupid religion that imprisoned my mind!!
Of course,
I’m free now……. Still a spiritual man….. but …. Not tied to the tricks and phobias of man.
God put artists like Mr. Neve, ……you……and I….. to make the world a better place…….
Your heart is obviously in great music and serious productions!!…….
Never worry about “likes”
or being the best…….
From what I can see and FEEL……… the internet will find YOU……… and…… you will be…… WHAT GOD INTENDED YOU TO BE…..

I picked up two of the AMS Neve 1073LB 500 series preamps …
@mistertwister4862 aww man that's sweet.....excellent. They just make everything quicker. Arm the channel with those and your pretty much there
