NOFX Backstage Passport Episode 8 [Full Episode]

- Опубліковано 9 кві 2014
- NOFX - Backstage Passport is the Fuse all-access documentary series that follows longtime punk band NOFX on their 2008 world tour. NOFX was formed by vocalist and bassist Fat Mike and guitarist Eric Melvin in 1983. The two rallied up some musician friends in Los Angeles, and put out their debut EP in 1985. NOFX rose to popularity and went gold with their 1994 album Punk in Drublic. With over 20 years on the scene, NOFX has been through it all and stood the test of time. After the success of Punk in Drublic, NOFX received offers to sign with major labels, but took a stand by staying on indie label Epitaph Records. The band has taken influences from punk rock, skate punk, and ska punk, focusing heavily on themes like politics, society, racism, the government and politics, and religion. The band has been known to dislike the media, doing very few interviews and only making a handful of music videos, so Fuse's series is a rare treat. Join Fat Mike, Eric Melvin, El Hefe, Erik Sandin, as the guys tour in places like Chile, Ecuador, Argentina, Peru and Japan, meeting crazed fans from around the world on NOFX - Backstage

God. Damn. Riveted. Watched all 8 episodes in a row on a day that I have tons of shit to do. Choked up when they all went home to their families. Bunch of down-to-earth guys who just love doing what they do. Makes me super proud to be a punk rock fan.
Totally agree. I wasn't into punk back in the day but I had a friend who loved punk in drublic and I remember watching the video for "leave it alone" on mtv back in 2000. I had no idea these guys were as cool and funny as their music.
These guys are the real freakin deal. Loved them since I was 10 years old and skateboarding.
Damn dude same here. What a great show. I wish there was a lot more lol.
Man, seeing Smelly interact with those kids was so beautiful, I teared up. Such a great show. Love you guys.
Upon first listen "Punk Rock is the
Way". There you have it,folks.
Thank you for posting. I just watched all 8 episodes in a row. I have been a fan of NOFX since around 1989, and I thought I knew these guys until I watched these episodes. Thank you for reminding me why I liked them in the first place.
Amazing documentary. I loved every episode and makes me happy to be a NOFX fan. Thanks for posting :)
No problem! If there is anything you would like me to upload, please don't be afraid to ask.
Reel Big Matt thank you
same here :)
you took the words right out of my heart
Reel Big Matt how about season 2? but yes, thank you for these. I remember watching it when it first aired on fuse years ago. love these guys
such a great band. I never realised how humble they are. much respect.
Such a good series and I was so sad it had to end, I felt like a part of the band throughout watching it!!!
El Hefe hugging Ronald McDonald made my day! and a fitting end! hahahaha
El Hefe - "I've got popcorn!"
Nice throwback to the first episode when he's packing popcorn into his suitcase, lol.
how cool is smelly he somehow manages to refrain around all that partying
JesseENew it's called being a MAN!
Hey, dude, I was straightedge (substance-wise) for YEARS around friends that drank like crazy, I don't know, for me it's not that hard. I feel like some people find it easier than others, although given Smelly's history, I'd say there's no way it's easy for him. Or maybe it is now, who knows!
Smelly is the man
Save it for your alloted sharing time at the meetings bruh. Nobody on the internet is gonna pat your back for not doing drugs.
Nor SHOULD anyone pat my back. I'm not better than anyone just because I didn't use any substances. All I'm saying is that it's hard for some people and not hard for others (although these days I smoke weed quite a bit). Like pretty much anything.
that was an amazing discovery for me. These last concerts were very unsettling.
i love eric melvin, we're gonna be thw best punk band theyve ever seen
we need many more seasons of this, including American tours and Punk In Drublic Festival
Why is it over? I watched this whole series and Season 2 in the last two nights. I want more.
I live in Johannesburg and went to the show (They called it Punk Safari). WHO?!?! booked them in that dodgy B&B?!
Some lady named Yolanda
Been a fan for 25 years, just finished reading the book, saw the the whole backstage passport again. Great times.

Music really is the universal binder. One day, we’ll either destroy ourselves or we’ll figure this out and life will be one big funkadelic style block party.
Watched this series when it first came out and loved it. Watching it as someone who now works in the touring-end of the music industry makes me appreciate it all the more

The Ex did Africa way better. Never been much of NOFX fan and the only record I ever bought was Decline. But, i seriously just watched all of these at once and enjoyed them. Thanks for sharing them here. I never would have watched them otherwise.

Fucking hell lol as soon as he said black Africans my black neighbor walks out and is like WHAT THE FUCK YOU WATCHING??
Are tigers indigenous to the African continent?
@ 7:11 🤣😂🤣😂
you a fuckin rock band... where the chicks?! I buckled hahaha
TheLastZiggen its "Im Going to Hell for this one"
As a South African i find it funny how they expected our african brothers and sisters to be there. Its even a running joke here that punks is for ulingoos. Meaning whites. Though my friends growing up were into punk and we were a mix of races. Its more the fact that its was considered and still is a privilege to be able to go to anything like such a show. I mean combined its like R1000 today. And to put it into perspective most people here might only make 2000 a month in poorer areas. R1000 is like a months shopping. Its expensive as hell here. Thats why being able to have seen American artists and bands is a huge bragging right here.
good thing he didn't wear that Fred Perry shirt in Russia
The South Africa song was almost as good as the one Mike wrote about Jamaica 🎶”….Jamaicas Alright, if you’re a misogynist, or a Homophobe..”🎶
Now that you guys finished this go read their book “Hepatitis Bathtub”. It was the craziest and hardest book to put down!
they forgot Australia
Is it a dangerous place where crazy shit was gonna happen and they probably would he ripped off?
7:08-7:19 😂😂
HAHAHAHAA!!!!!! dig your humor.
