At About the 10:00 mark we misspoke 🤦♂. We said microcoils, when those were not microcoils. They are actually just a low profile shorter pocketed coil. Microcoils usually start at 1.5" or less.
I have the shorter version of this mattress (this is the thick one for heavier folks) in a Luxury firm. I am pleased with it. I have watched a lot of tear down videos from you and others on UA-cam -- after I bought my Saatva. From what I have seen, I do think Saatva mattresses are well made and they do stand behind their product. I must say after watching these videos, I am amazed at how many manufacturers take a perfectly good spring based mattress and then top it off with 4+ inches of foam. No wonder why everyone throws those mattresses out after 3-5 years...
I believe it's the 14.5 inch version of the classic -- the difference between the lower profile one (which I own and I am pleased with) is the extra phone which IMHO makes it a trash mattress. Saatva recommends this mattress for folks that weigh 250 lbs. plus.
I got one 10 yrs ago. Still have it and just gave it to my daughter. It's decent, but my issues from the start was it was good but not great. I felt like it was a bit wobbly and the way it was explained was that there was different edge support. But I could practically grab the coils through the sides. Back then a queen was like $900.
0:50 Saatva does not have any factories.....they don't make their mattress.....Saatva is just a marketing company with a silly name, not a mattress company
Is this the Saatva classic? And doesn't Saatva have a 1 year trial window? Seems like most people would figure out in less than a year that a mattress isn't working for them and send it back to get a refund.
@@Cmm474Yup. It's a big reason why I decided to go for it. I bought the HD (since I saw no complaints about it online, unlike the classic), and I'm pretty happy so far.
3 years into my Saatva and not happy. Sagging where your hips are and support is not good so get up with aching hips. Saatva will not replace the mattress even under their warranty as the sag is not enough they said.
Honestly, every time I see the inside of a Saatva Classic I end up a little confused. Its like they randomly threw a bunch of concepts together and decided to sell it for being "unique". Nobody ever seems to know why they do the things they do, we already know what they do.
Rather than Luxury firm, I Bought the stiffer Firm saafta for longevity, and by a year or so, the wife sleeps in a Hole, she moves to the other side of the mattress, and end up rolling down hill back to the Hole. Mattress is about 3 years I guess, and going out the Door, and not for another Saafta, but the old traditional double sided Hotel mattress, that can be rotated and flipped, I expected tripple the life.
Yup! Prior to 10 years ago I went through many mattresses and they all sucked and sagged quickly so I wet down the mattress rabbit hole to discover most all of them are cheaply made garbage. I cut my $2000 Denver mattress open to find 2 sheets of shitty egg crate foam. I ripped that crap out, and have 4 inches of medium Dunlop and 2 inches of medium talalay on top of the springs. 10 years later it’s still perfectly supportive. Actually still too firm! I don’t think it will ever wear out.
I watched this video and immediately afterwards contacted Saatva and told them to come pick mine up. I cannot believe the shite construction. Unforgivable for the price they charge :(
Concerns and wants Top layers Comfort level options for a true medium feel. On a scale of 1 to 10 a 5 or 6 comfort level. I wish it had a layer of laytex across the top. Maybe a layer of memory foam or micro coils. Heavier pocket coils across the center zone for extra hip support. With a zipper enclosure on the top. If not an all together separate piece that rest on top that zippers, attaches to the base. Base edge to edge offset coils. NO FOAM ENCASEMENT. I really do like the spring on spring concept. Wish I could afford to have a custom bed built for me. This is what I would build.
What they had done matched exactly what was in the video's title. There are lots of complete reviews elsewhere where they HADN'T taken one apart. So, please spare us the negative, "This is what's wrong with YT videos today" line.
I don't like those fenders and what they're covered with... really... that's how they've been used for the past 50 years... not to mention mattress hygiene, coma!

IS THIS THE "HD" ?
Owned a Saatva 6 years ago (flagship model). After 18 months the center gave out.
Never again.

Great job. Very helpful. Thank you.
Glad it was helpful! Thank you for watching!
Is this the Saatva Classic? Hybrid? Not clear which one the "Luxury mattress" is.

I don’t want any memory foam ever again it’s trash.

Pleasant Mattress makes Saatva mattress
They named it that after Sativa…the shit they were smoking when they came-up with that design.
That thickness is NOT microcoils! Just a shorter pocketed coil.
You are absolutely correct!
After we shot the video and it was edited I noticed it.
We misspoke like a bunch of rookies🤦🏽♂️

Wow 1 year trial is amazing

Do you deliver to Florida? 🤔
We do ship to Florida!

Would you mind advising on the model of Hotel mattress that you purchased and liked.....thanks for helping
It is misleading because in order to produce organic cotton you still have to use chemicals everything is chemicals
Wow $1,600 dollars! I’m adding up the cost of materials manufacturing out the door and cashing out at $400! Holy markup
I do not trust ANY mattress company period! Had them all they all suck! I sleep on latex.
Which model of latex...i am sleepy "hot" on a Saatva latex hybrid..thanks for helping

Not exactly a review. Seems like you want to straddle the fence and not give an honest opinion. This is the very problem with youtube reviews.
Thats cause its not a review 😂

this mattress is so getto they built it for 40 in materials… maybe 🤔

Two hacks bashing other companies to sell their own crap
Long winded.
