- Charlie Adelson testified Friday, Nov. 3, 2023, during cross-examination by Assistant State Attorney Georgia Cappleman, about statements he made on a wire recording that his sister, Wendi Adelson, didn't appreciate what he and his mother Donna Adelson had done for her.
Charlie Adelson is charged with first-degree murder, conspiracy to commit first-degree murder and solicitation in relation to the 2014 murder-for-hire of FSU professor Dan Markel.

Great cross by Cappleman- she was calm and to the point. She didn’t play defense game of getting into the weeds/trying to confuse jury. Just highlighted how ridiculous defense is, how he did it for mom & sister and how he still hates Dan Markel’s guts.
Georgia should've brought Luis Rivera back on rebuttal!!!
I love Georgia she know Wendi was master mind but they kept her out but how they no the time he going to gym how they new he house how they new he name and before Dan left as message and after listening to Dan message she call Charlie she delete everything on that day of the murder can’t wait to she get arrested

His lawyers probably allowed him to take the stand because he talks so easily and casually. He needs to impress only one jury member to raise doubt.

This really wasn’t great cross nor great defense. Half of Georgia’s questions are obvious calls to speculation as to Wendi’s state of mind and should have been objected to

Sometimes when you let them ramble on they will let a lie slip and they will move to impeach them on the stand. Also letting them talk and talk can open up further and deeper questioning that is allowed.
