- Charlie Adelson testified Friday, Nov. 3, 2023, during cross-examination by Assistant State Attorney Georgia Cappleman, that when he found out alleged co-conspirator Katherine Magbanua wasn't the one extorting him and was actually protecting him, he gave her gifts to keep her happy and to keep him safe. Adelson also testified about text messages between him and his mother discussing "coming through" on a birthday gift for his father the day after the first "failed murder trip."
Charlie Adelson is charged with first-degree murder, conspiracy to commit first-degree murder and solicitation in relation to the 2014 murder-for-hire of FSU professor Dan Markel.

Too many tells unlike yesterday when often he looked over at jury when answering; today, glances down, moving right hand to touch his face, looking rarely at the jury.
Didn't even look at the jury once today, not once, i watched the whole thing.

I don’t have time to do that nor would I use my time in that way! You need to pay your dues by gaining as much information on this case as many of us have. What is your reason for being interested in Dan Markel’s murder?
In a twisted way I’d say the Adelson family were quite fortunate that this case took 10 years to go to trial. In that period, playboy maestro here was able to father a son, thereby continuing his lineage while he rots in prison. Wendi and her parents got to enjoy the watching the boys grow up, enjoying those early years whiles depriving the Dan Markel the same privileges and the boys are teenagers, old enough to understand that their cool and fun uncle Charlie hired hitmen to kill their daddy all those years ago. They will know that their mom, grandma and grandpa were involved in the plot too. These are the same people who raised them, that they love. Those boys are going to need years of intensive therapy!
I hope that when Donna and Wendi are both convicted and imprisoned, that they will at least be grateful for small mercies. Highly doubtful but at least one can always hope

He can’t really be this gullible. He makes out as if he is just led around by the nose. He is innocent and he never went to the cops? If anyone that is innocent…. They would have went to the cops.. my opinion. I would have went to the cops and on my own I would have made recordings and video. I also would start carrying a gun or other defensive items. This doesn’t pass the sniff test.

The only good thing if hes acquitted, is that his dog will have his dad back. Poor dog is even a victim of this family. I think Charlies' too much of a jerk to realize that he is in deep ish for giving false testimony implicating Latin kings in Dan's murder. -whether he is found guilty and is imprisoned,or, especially if he is acquitted;-- he's made himself a prime target of the Latin Kings ,specif Luis Rivera. Since Luis did the murder as Sigfriedos friend- it was unrelated to any business involving the Latin Kings gang itself; of which Luis is a member. Not only did Charlie falsely accuse Luis Rivera -not Sigfredo-as the trigger man; but he also has repeatedly implicated the entire Latin Kings gang, as being involved in the murder of Dan Markel! If the LatinKings are a legitimate organized crime gang; imo, its a certainty that Charlie has made himself a prime taeget for retaliation. And doubly so, if he is acquitted...on behalf of Luis,Sigfruedo,&Katie--who are all serving life prison sentences because they were hired by Charlie, allegedly, to commit this murder; while Charlie&co. got away unscathed. I cant imagine they will just let that go.
Apparently Charlie has a 6 year old son. I can’t imagine how the relationship between the young cousins are going to be like, now that the truth is finally out. It’s a tough situation for children to navigate through

Yes, he’s pulling out all the tricks from the principles of persuasion. Repeating “you are wrong” consistently and other catchphrases designed to subliminally sway opinion. The consultants probably told him to pepper these in. We also hear him using lines that he’s had in his hot little hands while he’s been sitting in his cell. Hoping Tarantino approaches him with a movie script. Charlie reminds me of Biff Skiffington.
