Thank you, Tyler Edmonds, for sharing your story with us and for giving advice on how to protect other children from the system who find themselves in your shoes.

A 13 year old boy looks up to older siblings. That she threw her brother under the bus as soon as the murder was committed was just sick. The father, though, should have gone straight to the authorities when his daughter said "life insurance." He failed both his kids.

And according to what the father said on the stand he knew she was going to do it. Although he said he told her initially to "just leave him", he later said he was going to be given a Cadillac by her when she'd killed her husband. So he definitely implied he knew it WAS going to happen.

@@Leaveit_alone it was so good to see him doing well. And I'm glad he moved away. Small towns are brutal when it comes to some people thinking they know everything. If I had a dollar for every time someone said, "I don't know if this is true or not, but I heard that so and so..." It's non stop, and no one ever apologizes when they're wrong. A lot of times, they refuse to believe they were wrong, even when there's plenty of evidence that they were. Sorry, I ended up posting a rant. I grew up in a small town. I live here but I’m 2 hours away and I never heard of this case. You know us southern girls will call out women like her as white trash! I love the fact that the woman called her white trash! Check out the story of a wife in Utah, Kouri Richins, who murdered her successful husband Eric with fentanyl. He never used drugs. A very successful young man who owned a masonry business with his best friend. Kouri was working at Home Depot at the checkout when they met. She wanted Eric to buy her a 20,000 square foot home even though they had a beautiful 1 million dollar home. After she murdered him, thinking she was getting his millions, she bought that home the day after he died and had the audacity to have a party there. They had 3 precious sons and Eric was a great husband and father. She even wrote a book for grieving young children who loses a parent. And went on morning shows in Utah. But she was in court yesterday, I’m not sure when trial starts but the video yesterday is on this channel. Greed and Murder is her sin! She even tried to poison him when they went to Greece on vacation!! She thought she was getting his multi millions but what she didn’t know is he had gotten suspicious, went to his attorney and changed his Will so his sister Katie would get his millions so she is raising his 3 sons. Kouri had started stealing thousands from his business accounts immediately after they were married and having many affairs.

My prayers go out to Tyler and his family and I know the curiosity of wanting to know “why” a family member is capable of doing something so heinous, but your strength overcame it! What a shocking and deeply affecting story. I'm so glad Tyler's gamble to clear his name entirely, the second time, paid off - thanks to his own belief in himself and also to his lawyer Jim Waide's tenacious fight to prove his innocence. Both can account for themselves on the day of Judgement.
Horrifying to hear about the "expert" who gave such flawed information in this and other cases. I hope he rots in he!!.
Tyler makes such an important point about minors not being questioned by police without a lawyer present. When I thought about it, it's obvious that it's ALWAYS the most vulnerable and impaired people who don't know to ask for a lawyer - under 18s and very young adults, the mentally impaired etc. Anyone who obviously falls into any of these categories should automatically be given legal representation. It's spine-chilling to think how many other Tylers are languishing in the prison system.

I can’t believe they were going to send a 13 away for life in prison! That is insane!!!! No matter what he did, it shouldn’t have been life in prison. But I truly believe he was trying to protect his sister. That backfired…. At least he’s out and can live his life.

I bet you that hatch break her father's heart to hear his daughter be that evil enough to ask her own father for something to murder her husband and then bribe him with a new Cadillac. SMFH I I feel so bad for her father as well I can't imagine

He was a 13- year old boy - they're asking him for all kinds of adult cognitive reasoning. Of course his low-life sister told him that he would get less punishment for committing that crime. The fact that the sister takes the stand and not exonerate her young brother - is incredible. The right person is in jail and she needs to rot there.

And they’re refusing to compensate him for the time he lost as a kid being in jail tried as an adult. they didnt use the letter kristi wrote him begging to go along with her story, or his recanted story where he finally told the truth. Shame on the police, prosecutors, and judge. Kristi rot in hell

Can he sue? This is so wrong in so many ways. All the adults here failed him and manipulated him in some way. The investigators need to be held accountable

I feel like the judge is completely biased in both trials. Smiling when he saw the verdict of the first trial. Not allowing an expert witness of false confessions in the second trial. Ridiculous

The first judge had no right to to get involved in the case and then prohibit the defense from showing his recantation as well as allowing the pathologist to testify outside his area of expertise.
All cases this judge has presided over needs a second look.

    • @theoryofpersonality1420

Others blame the pathologist. How can they not see the judge was responsible for the behavior of the pathologist and what was and wasn't allowed in front of the jury.

@@MissysAngels - goes to show that he is innocent and the Wisconsin justice system is corrupt and so broken. The people that took his confession that was clearly coerced to be truth don’t want to admit that they made a mistake! I pray he gets out one day. When that may come, nobody knows.

I haven't heard of the case, but if it's anything like this one, he deserves a good lawyer and a new trial. The thing that got me towards the end is when he said that they only turned the video camera on at the end of the interrogation. That's not right at all. At 13, I wouldn't have been able to withstand the pressure. I would have been scared to death. He looked like such a sweet kid in the video, and the way his mom talked to him made it clear that she couldn't believe he could ever do something like that. I'm so happy that he was set free, but he has to have some serious trauma from being stuck in the worst prison for juveniles in the state. As a mom, this really made me sad. And angry 😡
