Segway are releasing lots of scooters soon namely the d series and the f series is already out but realistically they are similar to xiaomi’s but with better ip rating and 10 inch tyres. Some of their new ones coming have suspension (p160S it’s called)but cost and spec wise they are completely different class of scooter. Ben it be great to get hold of the two base commuter scooters from Apollo the Apollo air and air pro that have front suspension and see what u think and compare to the xiaomi’s and pure air/air pro. Also be great to see you on the new Apollo city! :) keep up the good work and based on this I would be really keen to see what Niu come up with next scooter wise, cross fingers for suspension! 😀

The new 2022 Segway-Ninebot e-scooter line up are called the D series (downgraded ver of the F series) and the all-new P series (P65 & P100s) and the premium GT series (GT1 & GT2). The P & GT series will address Ben's e-scooter issues since 2018! 😁🛴

Hey Ben, just found your channel. So these are legal now? Wanted one for ages but didn't fancy getting stopped and a grand fine and all that. Where do you think we stand with using them like a bike? Cyclepaths and pavements and such? Are they seen as a pain to pedestrians? Do you think a copper would stop me if he saw me using one on pavement, cyclepaths?

Ben, if I had to choose one of these three scooters it would certainly be either Xiaomi pro 2 because of its weight or ninebot because of its range

i just paid 800.00 for a E scooter 28.6ah lithium ion battery 48v , 500w, 25mph with motorbike suspension and rear sping suspension the scooter is massive ways 45KG ??

In most EU countries, there is a 25km/h speed limit, no 15. Most of us just buy international or EU models. Germans the german ones with 20km/h, but no idea where you're allowed to only go 15 or which scooter limits it's EU version to 15km/h ^^
You should try less popular brands that make the old design with suspensions, like the E-TWOW scooters and see if they match the zoom stryder quality.

@BenFox01 oh sorry, I've also already seen them but forgot about them🤣. So I guess you still prefer that design than these new ones. BTW I just realized that the Zoom strider no longer exist anymore :(
you can just set the scooter on box and some tape and the throttle so don't have Depress yourself with set up.
Unfortunately you're still likely to get stopped by the Old Bill, have it confiscated, get sent to court, get fined £1000 & receive 6 Points on your licence as I did with my Hi-boy S2 😓

Unfortunately not, I believe Durham Constabulary have a seize & crush policy now for untaxed, uninsured motor vehicles.
I might have got away with a lighter penalty if I had stopped earlier, but I took a short cut down a side street, in an attempt to evade capture & unfortunately they had 3 police cars already in the area 😕
The thing Is, I already own other E-scooters.
I ride sensibly, wear a helmet & obey the highway code.
I wouldn't want to have an expensive scooter seized.
The magistrate said to me buy an e-bike.

Tbh all of these are a load of turd when you can now buy a Hero S9 on sale with a 21ah battery new for £579 with 600w motor, upto 30mph and amazing build quality.

I backed one of these on IGG. When it eventually arrived, I pumped the tyres, switched it on and connected the app, charged it up and waited until after work (and working from home, that was tough...). I wheeled it out of the house, pressed the power button and.... nothing! After switching it on and connecting the app earlier in the day, it would not switch on again. So, I asked Niu to fix it.
Two weeks later, it arrived in Germany. A week after that, it arrived back with me having been fixed. But, when I opened the box and started assembling I noticed something. The latch mechanism had snapped and I could not lock the stem in position. At this point, after having waited 6 months longer than expected for the scooter to arrive and faced with the prospect of another month-long round trip to Germany for fixing, I asked for a refund. To be fair, Niu did give me a refund and eventually sent someone to collect the scooter again.
I really wanted to like the scooter but I never got to ride it even once. Overall, I was bitterly disappointed with Niu over the whole thing and likely will never touch anything they make again. Still, I have my Ninebot Max and my Pure Electric scooter, both of which are just made from better materials than the Niu in the end.
