    I have an f40 and also experienced the wobbliness in the handlebars you are talking about but upon closer inspection I realized the initial installation screws were a little loose and just needed to be retightened. Also segway is coming out with a commuter series called the P series which would be a more apples to apples comparison based on speed and design.

    • @SergioHernandezProduction
      @SergioHernandezProduction  2 роки тому +1

      I thought so too. I tighten that bad boy up before Andrew rode it just to see and he told me the same thing so I didn't think it was that. But apples to apples is same price range no? Cause if they come out with similar range and speed but costs way way more. Then Niu is still for the win. I'ma check on the updates on the P version.

    • @DavidWilson-ux2ll
      @DavidWilson-ux2ll 2 роки тому +2

      @@SergioHernandezProduction Hmm interesting, there is also a certain method on how to screw in the 4 initial screws. You can't fully screw in the first screw, etc, you have to partially screw in the first screw then partially screw in the diagonal facing screw, etc. The manual mentions the specific order, and to check if it's screwed in correctly all 4 screws should be flush with the stem.
      I think based on your excellent review, Niu does offer a compelling deal for the specs, but the one knock I have is it's weight. At a whopping 45 lbs, it is heavier than I would like, especially since most people use escooters as a last mile solution. i.e. to and from the bus or subway station. All the pluses you mentioned like wider base, bigger headlight, etc all add up to more weight. Now if this is meant for commuting only, then I can understand, which is why I suggested comparing it to the P series. The pricing on the P series is higher than Niu, but it does have a higher top speed and more range, and even turn signals. But I could see this being a good option for someone interested in the P series but not wanting to spend that much.

    Surprised you didn't talk about the electronic braking, I have the sport version of the KQi3, that electronic braking definitely helps lengthen the range of the scooter noticeably.

    I disagree that the only difference between the ninebot max vs kqi3 is the range. Ninebot has ipx5 rating vs ip54. For some, that’s a substantial feature, particularly in the pnw weather.

    Might sound like a paid promotion but DEFINITELY NOT!!! I own the f40 the max30 and now the NIU. So personally speaking it’s not even close between the 3 the NIU wins hands down in every category he explained in this video with the exception of range compared to the max 30. The NIU is honestly much faster acceleration rides much smoother and the brakes work so much better that it’s really not even comparable. After owning the NIU for 3 weeks I don’t even want to get on the ninebots!!! I’m not exaggerating just trying to And form based on personal experience

    Bought the Ninebot F2 yesterday. SUPER SMOOTH RIDE. The updated models have wider handlebars and bigger tires. I’ve ridden some previous models of Segway and they felt like razor scooters with motors. The new ones are completely different. WAY better. No complaints at all for ride comfort. Segway way better for getting parts, better brand, better software, etc. People with NIU constantly complaining about error codes.

And when you apply the brake it does NOT feel like your gonna go head over heels at all. Just blatantly NOT true. The braking is excellent! Aside from the rear disc brake it also has a front dynamic (electric) brake. Couldn’t believe what I was hearing!

    Feels like paid advertising. Talking about braking system, niu put a disc brake in front? Is that a joke or special trick for flip over? F series actually have front e brake together and balanced, locking on back disc brake will be much safer. And the inflated 10 inch tire is much comfort than 8 inch rubber tire…

    • @cloudsu9096
      @cloudsu9096 2 роки тому

      same thought. As a rear-drive scooter you only really need a rear brake. A front brake is not necessary at all and can sometimes causes big trouble. Anyone who ever rode a bike would know that.

    • @Pshpshpshpshpshpshpsh
      @Pshpshpshpshpshpshpsh 2 роки тому

      Compare it with riding a bike you soften the stop with your rear and feather it in the front. While you’re doing that you’re also shifting your body weight to the rear to produce inertia. It is honestly a lot safer.

    • @carbrickscity
      @carbrickscity 2 роки тому

      Completely agree. This review is so one-sided it definitely feels like he was paid by Niu to do this review or he was working for Niu. It's even funny he called the Ninebot Max as the Segway Max50 lol He probably doesn't even know too much about escooters. I agree the Niu is slightly better but not far better in the way he mentioned it. And yes, for scooters that goes less than 20mph with a single motor, one mechanical brake + electronic braking is more than enough. You don't need two mechanical brakes. It would only cause you to fall over the handle bar under sharp braking, especially for beginners. I have a scooter with 1 mechanical brake is often too strong if I press the lever all the way in.
      Edit: He was indeed sponsored for this video at the end lol
