Good tip. I just use the weighted one for distance. I like the tin and trailer tip, I have a Hogy like that but these are much cheaper.
hey bill, ive fished them trailing a tin for years, very successful in certain situations.
Awesome video can wait for the season to start back up!
Thanks Bill! Your first tip of 2021 well said. Happy New Year to you and family!
Happy New Year!!
I’ll be signing up for the surf rats ball this spring so I can dominate the surfrats ball tourneys
Haha Good luck there is some crazy competition!
that was awesome, thank you.
Great tip
Hey Bill.....how many on those Mousie Traps..
Awesome cool.....Surf Rat forever....
Crazy glue on the head and hook works well.
yeah -- been there. On the head and rear but this works better. Thanks for watching!
@@BillWetzel Ok, love your videos great tips, Happy New Year's be safe tight line's.
Under what conditions do you like to fish the mouse traps?
The mouse traps are for heavy deep water. I weight them with 8 oz of lead. No need for hooks. Makes catch and release very easy. I spray the trigger mechanism with WD40 to increase catch to drop ration.
Bill Wetzel that’s where I stuffed up! I only loaded mine up with 4 oz of lead!
This practice could weaken the hook. It might undo the metal's tempering/hardness. I dunno but just sayin.
Carry a tube of crazy glue if you don't want it to move. Dab on that shaft and slide it up. Never come off
I use the sluggos
I never thought of this it’s a good idea because they cast like shit out the box and they are cheap too ima definitely try this in the surf
Never had issues with a tsunami Sandeel definitely caught way over 20 fish on them they hold up pretty well
Unweighted?
@@BillWetzel you know what Bill forget it that's right they were unweighted haha . I'm just a herb 🤣🤣🤣
Use crazy glue and never get burn.
Used crazy and Gorilla . Was not as good as the melt. That’s why I did not bother to mention glue.
