Solid work. Especially on the release of such a good fish. Nice to see it not hoisted vertically out of the water and held for a dozen photos. I wish more guides would show their clients handling and releasing fish responsibly like this.
Very good video Bill. A world of difference between how you do it on the East coast and how we do it here in Northern California. Of course we don’t have the fishery you do either.

This guys taught me more about striper fishing than anyone else and I don’t even personally know him LOL
That’s very kind. Thank u!
@@BillWetzel Hey Bill what reel is he using?
Not sure, but he said he was going to get a different one. Not great for that kind of fishing.
Great video Bill. Really gives a small an idea what it’s like out there. Congrats to you and your charter. Hope to get out there some day.

Very nice fish and great release! Excellent Bill, you are the best!!!
Thanks Bill
Great catch in rough conditions, I can see why you need all those enhancements in Montauk.
Good info as always! Thanx Bill!
Hello Bill. What size lbs braid you use? Length of leader and lbs? I've been listening and watching your videos. Thanks you the best!!
Depends.. Generally for Montauk 50-65 lb Poer pro. 80 lb mono leader about 3 or 4 feet
Hi Bill!
Can you do a short video on how you tape your reels to your rods?
Great content! cheers!
You are not the first to ask.. I can do that. Very easy.
You’re still kickin it, was wondering where you went
I went fishing! Lol
Wow that’s a nice bass. I would love to get into night fishing more. Little scary to get into to tell you the truth. 😅
Do you guys think the fish believe we're saving them? I mean, we take the pain from their faces and let them go back to sea. lol
When it’s blowing 45 fucking knots that’s the time to get your ass out there and catch some bass
I would of ate it
