The guitar cabinet photo switching back and forth so often freaked me out lol. On the guitar cab with overdrive I like the Shure allot better, on the rest of the test they both sounded great in their own way

Nice video. Well done. I think its a nice boost in high mids where most hearing loss exists
With some EQ it would be a nice newer flavor. I think the SM58 and Beta58 have a sound that is what most people are used to. Nothing wrong with that mic at all. I however prefer Audio Technica Some gigs it’s different. Like you said not all mics are for everyone. Id like to give this one a try live. And see how it suits me

Sir, I am beginner. I want to record my written poetry professionally. In which my line will go in high tone and will also come in low tone. Tell me such a mic and audio interface. So that I can record and mix later. My room is not sound proof. My total budget is $300. But a shopkeeper told me that you cannot do recording with dynamic mic. Please tell me what should I do. Tell me such a mic and audio interface that I will not regret after buying.

the beta 58 is one the best mics ive found so far for live vocals, better feedback rejection than the 58, cleaner. The 57 and 58 have the same capsule

For sure. Much cleaner, clearer, and generally brighter than the SM58. No mud like the SM58.

@@عبدالجاكولالصلصالاني It depends on if you think it suits your voice or not. If you can try before you buy, do that.

The SE V7 is an improved SM58 at the price sound wise.

I think the guitar cab comparison needed more time between. Too much changing didn't help me abit. Thanks!

I think the V7 sounds more alike to the telefunken M80, less so to a SM58.

The V7 is a great mic! But I have done a recent blind A/B test with a female singer between the 58 en V7 and the "good old" 58 came out as the winner. For this female singer a better result in live sound and her own in-ear mix. I was surpised at the difference in sound between the two mics. So always try them both if you can. For the price you almost have to.

I think for males the v7 works best as it lifts the highs and for females the 58 works because you don't need a lift in the highs

Well, a lot of people don’t get that microphones aren’t one size fits all. Lots of males have tinny voices with pronounced high miss and top end frequencies so in this case the 58 might be better for them. Just like lots of women have more rounded, less piercing voices so the V7 would work better for them to bring out the clarity and mid to higher frequencies a little more. Not all guys have boomy voices with rounded bass frequencies and not all women have piercing high voices.

There are LOTS of contenders that blow the SM58 out of the water lol. It's a staple, no doubt - a great mic. But microphones have improved from that design. I think everyone should have at least one or two SM58's but there are definitely others to check out for around the same price that are a lot better. Oh, and the V7 is not meant for instruments, particular with super high SPL levels like drums. The V7X is the intended instrument mic model.

Why should ‘everyone’ have at least one or two SM58s? What would be the point of that?

@ They’re great workhorses for what they are and get the job done for a great price. Especially if you don’t want to break out your better mics depending on location. But don’t get one if you don’t want to. All good. Do you, bud.
