    I realized within the first 10 seconds of your video that the differences between the SM58 and V7 wouldn't amount to much in my use-case... But gladly stuck around to listen to your beautiful voice. You rock!

    I’m very happy with the SE V7 microphone that I bought from you. It was Amir who suggested this mic to me and I’m glad he did. I used it twice in my shows and it was amazing. The sound quality and the design are superb. Thank you for providing such a great product. I’m also interested in buying some more high-end microphones from you in the future. I hope the price is reasonable and competitive. ❤🎤

    I love the comparison between a 58 and V7 with a Sennheiser t-shirt on.
    On a more serious note, I've always found 58s to be muddy sounding, too much in the low mids. I prefer the presence and clarity of the V7

      I'm still an SM58 fan. The muddy sound is a mic placement or proximity issue. V7 has a lot of handling noise

      @@timothysmallaxe Also depends on your voice. Sm58 sounds muddy on my voice and doesn't cut through the rest of the instruments. However, many people swear by it. So I think the best thing would be to test a couple of mics (people hate this answer).

    Thanks for the video. These are both great microphones, but the SE V7 is like what would happen if the SM58 and SM57 had a better looking baby. I'd choose the V7. Really enjoyed your performance. All the best!

    I work live sound a lot. And after hearing the 58 for years I can safely say the v7 crushes the 58 in a lot of ways. Its in my opinion the perfect live vocal mic for all vocal styles. It kicks butt

      @tacomamusic Рік тому +2

      To ad to this though... it's shure mic comparison should actually be the beta58 as that's also a super cardioid mic. But I still prefer this one. And the v7 is cheaper.

    Hmm... This is tough. The SM58 sounds much more relaxed, it just sits back in the mix, it's not overly forward in the upper mids like the V7. However, it is true that the SM58 is a little muddy in the low mids, but I would rather deal with that, than the overly hyped top end of the V7.

  • @jamestheradioman

    The handling noise on the V7 is significantly higher if you test them properly. Holding both mics firmly and shaking them isn't a real world test. If you just move the mics from left hand to right hand you'll hear more handling noise on the V7.

So that I can record and mix later. My room is not sound proof. My total budget is $300. But a shopkeeper told me that you cannot do recording with dynamic mic. Please tell me what should I do. Tell me such a mic and audio interface that I will not regret after buying.

    se v7 needs a pop filter as the pops are more audible on it than on the sm58. However, the v7 sounds so much better than the sm58. It is more clear and airy. A lot more pleasant to listen to than the muddy sm58. Plus, it is built like a tank

    The problem in Taiwan is: there are too many fake Shure SM58 from China, and I can’t tell the difference from online shopping.. so the best way to avoid hitting the fake product is just to avoid completely that product.. that’s why I turn from SM58 to SE V7..

    I think generally I prefer the 58. It's more responsive and more balanced tonally. You say it pops out with more detail when you sing higher (in the chorus). I think it's just harsher in the mid to high frequencies. For me the SM58 wins out here but admittedly it didn't win out by much. At the end of the day, you can EQ either to sound closer to whichever one you prefer. But out the gate the 58 wins for vocals by a little bit. People saying here they don't like the SM58 for live application. I can respect that. I have the very opposite opinion. I really love the SM58 live, at least with my voice. I love singing with it. I'd love the opportunity to try the V7 in a live setting.

    • @jasonbodden8816
      @jasonbodden8816 2 роки тому +4

      So I've since seen a lot of other reviews with this very comparison and the V7 wins out by far to me. It wins out here as well. Not sure why I thought the 58 sounded better 8 months ago lol. The clarity and highs are better on the V7. The 58 sounds a bit muddy in comparison. The general detail is better I think than the 58.

    • @tacomamusic
      @tacomamusic Рік тому +1

      @@jasonbodden8816 I agree. The better comparison though would have been to use the beta 58a as it's a super cardioid also. Between that and this I still prefer this one. But yeah

    V7 more has more nuisance to its character - slightly brighter and easier to cut through a mix with. I particularly like using my V7 on most female voices. V7 reminds me of the sound of the Beta87 (condenser)
