I want to change the spark plugs on my 2001 cruiser do I really haaave to disconnect the throttle body? Seems like theres more work than what you have to do..
Hope I get answer my spark plugs on my pt cruiser are worn out will.be able to replace then this coming Saturday is it okay to drive the car with worn out spark plugs
Apologies for the delay in responding. No doubt you've replaced the spark plugs, but for future reference, If the engine runs ok and there is no check engine light for misfire codes (engine is running clean on all cylinders), you should be ok for the time being. We wouldn’t recommend driving far until all spark plugs are replaced.
This makes a very simple job a very complicated job. Just loosen the bolts from the intake disconnect the vacuum lines and life it up and block it with a piece of wood or hang it with a bungee cord and change the plugs. No reason to remove anything else. If you do by chance removed the throttle body be sure to clean it before you put it back in.
What size tool do you use to take out spark plugs

5:31 torque given for auto transmission pan bolts, not spark plugs.
